Galactic LOVE ~> Full Moon in Aries 1°59’ ~ Tuesday 25th September 2018 @ 2:51UT

A Full Moon at Equinox, when we experience equal day – equal night around the globe, naturally ramps-up the electromagnetism between Sun-Moon and Earth. Such an intense energy exchange can also escalate our own personal magnetism. Indeed, our ability to magnetise in relationship is about to get a mega-boost when the alluring Love Goddess, Venus, goes retrograde in Scorpio October 6^th. But that’s another love story, saved for later tales of 40 days and 40 nights. 

Though romance does fill the air when the Sun is in Libra, life may already be extra-buzzy (and too busy) to fall head over heels in love, especially with the demands of your own affairs or the special someone, or even those who suck you into their world, into which you gravitate – and you don’t know why. Beware the latter. Remain self-aware. And stay mindful. This is a massively karmic Full Aries Moon, with potentially enduring consequences. 

✰ Because this Full Moon falls on the one day of the year our Spirit Sun exactly connects with our Galaxy’s greater cosmic whole, things are about to get mind-blowingly psychedelic, as the ‘Peace & Love’ Libra Sun aligns with the heart of a massive super-cluster of Galaxies, to which our Galaxy, the Milky Way, belongs. The name of this home super-galactic cluster is ‘Laneakia’, which is Hawaiian for ‘Immeasurable Heaven’. As Spirit Sun now illuminates our connection to the vastness of space, we, too, may be drawn to see those lines we define ourselves by and the protective barriers we erect, often though fear or pain, around our self, our families, our towns or nations, can all fade into insignificance upon appreciating how we really are a part of a hyper-gigantic unified force, connecting billions of light-years across the cosmos, all the way to planet Earth.

Yet everything is relative. Even when travelling through the awesomeness of space, which spaceship Earth is doing at 67,000 miles an hour, unless you want to fall out of your seat, it’s still important to put on one’s metaphoric safety belt. And herein lies one of this Full Moon’s many challenges: when to knuckle-down and buckle-up, and when to fly free.

Thankfully, during a Full Moon brimming with the dramatic tension of endings and beginnings – and a certain kind of magic - there several key pointers to help achieve a certain balance with those we love, and still get our own, and everyone else’s needs’ met. 

1) As a Cardinal Square is activated between Libra Sun and Aries (Harvest) Moon and karmic Saturn in Capricorn, there are bound to be difficulties in finding both liberation AND stability, one or the other, but to experience both will take a rare kind of wisdom. 

Whatever you are dealing with, the Moon’s association with Chiron suggests self-care is paramount before taking care of anyone or anything else – if only to be in tip-top condition and ready and ripe for action, and/or to keep feet on the ground and stop yourself from becoming moody, anxious or resentful. You know what the Air Steward says when traversing choppy sky: “look after yourself first, before taking care of the more vulnerable”.
2) The bright Libra Sun emanating peace, love, beauty and harmony isn’t enough, however. We have to embody equanimity for those in authority to show respect. Yes, you can jangle beads and wear flowers in your hair, even bandy waving placards in the face of injustice, but serious action is now called for, albeit in a cautious manner.

 It is essential to communicate clearly about how much we care, about o with whom, and what we want do or to nurture. Make sure everyone now in your close circle remains informed. Otherwise, should things go wrong in any event we risk blaming others for any hurt, upset or obstacle we could encounter. 

Because the artistic Libra Sun is with Mercury, planet of the mind, it’s even okay to sit on the fence for a while when making decisions. At least from that vantage point one has a painterly view, seeing both sides of any story – and any major choices will be the result of having looked the issue from every angle. But don’t dilly-dally too long, and be prepared to make interesting changes October 10^th.

3) Whenever Luna is in Aries there is usually a cause to champion, and a rush to charge in where angels fear to tread. Be aware, however: an Aires Moon with Shamanic Chiron can be fast and furious, and idiotically clumsy. Only with personal responsibility, self-confidence and total self-awareness can we really be as autonomous as a Full Aries Moon suggests. With the Libra Sun providing emotional balance, one may avoid the danger of self-inflicting wounds which merely prove just how self-centred and childish we can be. Sorry if that sounds harsh. But when drama unfolds and action stations may no longer be a drill, we need to be able to act with certainty, understanding strengths, skills and limitations, and when we can rely upon others.

In point of astral Aries Moon fact, it’s time to be nice to that crazy inner-wild-child. Life can be unbelievably tough for many beings – even when we look at others and think they have it all (whatever ‘it’ is), there can be issues going on under the surface that carry the burden of suffering. The Aries Moon can live life like a battle field, so gentle-up now with Shaman Chiron, and any war-wounds that need a little more healing time and space.

✰ Under any difficult circumstance, the heavens now suggest that if we feel down we pick ourselves and to do what we need to support our self in relationship. Put on the symbolic Band-Aid if necessary, and try not to add more damage. Remember too, how Libran diplomacy is a currency that can be traded and bartered. Note how much more gets done with kind words. Rather than shouting or barking orders, be inspired by Keanu Reeves, who says “If you have been brutally broken but still have the courage to be gentle to other living beings, then you're a badass with a heart of an angel.” Let the badass angel’s heart beat loud and strong right now.

4) As both Sun and Moon are in the tight Cardinal ‘T’ Square with taskmaster Saturn, now boosted by being at home in Capricorn, self-management and self-motivation go a long way, both at work, and play. Under pressure, events around a passionate Aries Moon can be fiery and volatile. Those in tune with the Full Aries Moon can quickly bounce back to swiftly regain composure however, to keep ones’ cool and be the reassuring person who can lead others if called for, or should problems arise. 

✰ As the hierarchical ruler of Libra, Saturn is very dominant this Full Moon chart. As well as being the overlord for the current Fixed Cross, Saturn learns to come from heart is the way to create helpful karma. 

Working situations could also require innovative quick-thinking as well as bucket loads of charm to achieve satisfaction. All-the-while Saturn urges us to keep an eye on distant goals and a long term 38-year cycles (1982-2020), especially when methodically overcoming obstacles.  

5) The Grand Fixed Cross which shaped into being with the New Virgo Moon, 9^th September is set to stay until the beginning of November, to remind us of the quality of light and life within our collective human soul. For a Grand Cross to stay so long is rare, so we have some time to make the most of what it has to offer: this particular Fixed Cross emanates issues of freedom and closeness, as liberating Uranus in earthy Taurus opposite an about-to-go-retrograde Venus in powerful Scorpio, crossed with the fated nodal axis in Leo-Aquarius; turning this of cross transformation one moves from being selfish to selflessness.

This Fixed Cross highlights a critical spiritual mass illumination, when we become aware of issues larger than one self. It is a time of no turning back, as collective Spiritual intuition permeates the noosphere with an understanding of the brilliance of the human spirit and soul, particularly in relation to the extent of solar, planetary, and galactic forces.  

✰ Basically, now is the time to be aware of direction and influences, and get determined to not mess around too much. Use this current fixity to harness immovable intent. Unhook from old habits and find an inner freedom from being released  Also during the Fixed Cross it’s wise to develop an understanding of the plethora of system changes now taking place within the collective consciousness. Not that all systems are meant to be rigidly held in place all the time for anyone, including the light-worker spiritual warrior: rules are always made to be broken; but current celestial guidelines advise creating good karma and standing strongly in Spirit and developing intuition. 

6) Another features in the Full Moon horoscope worthy of mention is the ‘Mystic Rectangle’, a pattern often referred to as the place of practical magic; in this case the Full Moon and Spirit Sun are with planetary protagonists from the Fixed Cross, as the Moon trines the destiny-fulfilling North Node, which then Sun Sextiles, as Sun trines the Mars, South Node Black Moon Lilith conjunction, which in sextile to the Moon. It’s a tightly bound box containing much spiritual juju. 

While the Mystic Rectangle is generally helpful, raising the altruistic intention when dealing with issues of abandonment or aggression , and doing what is best for everyone, shows that compassion is actually a form of shamanic self-healing - for those giving and those receiving – everyone benefits from kindness.

Dream Healing & the Power of Compassion

☆ Full Moon 14° Pisces 6^th September @ 7:03UT

Culminating September 6^th with a deeply sensitive Full Moon in all-consuming water-sign Pisces, this lunation began with the “Great American Solar Eclipse” August 21^st. Since that glorious event (the first, I might add, since the advent of TV or Internet connecting to the global hive-mind), awe turned to dread witnessing the incredible power of mother nature with fire, wind and water out-of-control, spectacularly the latter liquid element overwhelming both sides of the world as rain deluged Southern United states as well as Northern India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Africa.  With millions of people worldwide whose lives are at a loss in situations in which they have little or no control, when we add those affected by war, drought and disease, the numbers of living beings currently needing help seems immeasurable; and our entire collective, as symbolised by the zodiac’s twelfth and last sign, that of the Fishes, adrift forlorn in sea of suffering, and floundering helplessly from one disaster to another.  Usually it is those least equipped to survive storms who are hardest hit.

☆ Living in the last vestiges of the 2000-year Age of Pisces (In the ‘Great Year’ there a couple of hundred years yet to go until we reach the Age of Aquarius!), humanity’s lessons are manifold and complex, as Pisces has vast astrological governance that ranges from the madness of an inspired crazy visionary, large institutions, to the ravages of toxins, alcohol, drugs and dependency (oil, petrol, gas, hazardous chemicals), all if which belong to Pisces, Neptune and the 12^th house. Pisces also runs the gamut of all emotions. A healthy Piscean influence can surge up from the polluted depths to spiritually purify and reach ecstatic, blissful emotion through dance, music, film, yoga, prayer, art, dreams, tai-chi, photography, meditation and mantra.  It is whatever takes you out of your subconscious ‘self’ and erodes the boundaries that confine the self-serving egol; Pisces helps to discover a profound compassion and charity towards others. Christianity was born into this Piscean epoch, hence the proliferation of the symbolic ‘Vesica Pisces’ graffiti and bumper stickers.  As well as fuelling Messiah complexes, psychedelic hypnotic art and mass deception, Pisces is also the symbol of victims and martyrs, saints and sinners.

☆ Whenever the sensitive Moon is in Pisces it’s easy to get swept along by the hysteria of human emotion, be that in excitement or panic. Make a note now how Pisces senses trending undercurrents before they break. 

With a watery Pisces Full Moon conjunct its modern ruler Neptune, also in Pisces, it means dreams can become prophetic, laden with poetic meaning and subliminal messages; tuning into the unspoken and unseen to touch base with one’s own centre helps discover the love and joy of being alive that stops one from getting dragged into mania’s oblivion. Ultimately, the Two Fishes, one facing Earth and the other to Heaven, teaches us to be comfortable in one’s flow, which often takes a leap of faith in the ever-present, divinely miraculous LOVE WISDOM. Therein lays the essence of this Full Pisces Moon Report: how to attain and maintain spiritual oneness and engage in meaningful activity, and at the same time overcoming any overwhelming feelings created by observing the anguish that surrounds us. 

☆ Looking at the astrological aspects of this Full Moon (aspects are the mathematical connections the planet make to each other), there are two main patterns. And they both involve taskmaster Saturn, the planet that toughens-up to become resilient in the face of adversity. The first is a challenging mutable ‘T-Square’, with the realistic Virgo Sun opposite a dreamy Pisces Moon, both making a ninety degree angle to sensible Saturn and Black Moon Lilith. This accents the importance of the farsighted wisdom that emanates from those wild, wild women who run with the wolves. 

☆ The second is the ongoing 2017’s Fire Bird ‘Grand Fire Trine’; and as long as we are not too lazy in letting this gloriously creative astral agent pass us by, we can harness the sparky dynamic fire element with Uranus in Aries, Mercury & North Node in Leo, and Saturn in Sagittarius, to generate optimism for the future. To avoid burn-out, maintaining joyful enthusiasm is currently crucial for strength and stamina and a positive spiritual view. Whenever Saturn is so prominent the gloom and doom merchants come out in force, and we really need to make an effort not to fall for fear nor into depression.  Admittedly, to master waves of difficult emotion  takes practice AND a personal responsibility for one’s own spiritual, emotional and mental wellbeing; Saturn, however, gives us that patience to work cautiously, with care: in Sagittarius it also suggests that we can look abroad, further than our comfort zone, to find applicable knowledge and information that will help accomplish ambitions.

Whenever Saturn is in such a tough T-Square to ‘The Lights‘, Sun and Moon, there’s also a tendency to become hardened, especially to the already afflicted. Instead of building helpful laws and open-minded governance, Saturn in fear puts others down and builds walls that isolate and divide. However, the real fear, over this Full Moon is ‘charity fatigue’, when we stop giving of ourselves because of feeling disheartened. In the German language there’s a word for feeling overwhelmed by the enormous amount of woe we witness daily: Weltschmertz. It’s a word that describes the apathy that comes about when we feel helpless or discouraged by the actual state of the world – a world conflicting with our own ideals. The French call it ‘ennui’, debilitating world weariness; whilst in English we might call it an ‘existential angst’ that freezes with perceived pointlessness. To understand this kind of apathy, particularly a collective apathy, we look to the sign of the fishes, Pisces, Neptune and planets in the 12^th house. The sign of the Fishes shows how we operate when we’re inundated or plagued and, during a Full Pisces Moon, what we are prepared to sacrifice to create order. Interestingly, Pisces can also show that in the cause problems also lies the way to safety and healing, and how we can dream and magic our way out of feeling flooded by rising (emotional) tides is accented by this tight T-Square from the Lights to Saturn. 

Those born in the mid-1960’s or with planets in Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces, could well be sensing this most. If that is the case then please remember the words of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who always says that if you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito!

☆ However you haul yourself up, out and away from difficult situations, by playing broody Johnny Cash (Pisces) songs, or sitting on top of a mountain communing with nature, talking to girlfriends, or walking the dog in the park, now is the time to imbibe the combination of a practical and feminine Virgo Sun with no-nonsense Saturn’s realistic approach (Eat well, sleep well, exercise regularly.). While we all play our part in a world of Oneness – heal yourself and you heal the world – there are also circumstances which are not of our own personal making. Yet we can all still do something about our (collective) condition.  Sun and Moon in square to karmic Saturn make apparent how the present situation is a result of the past (karma), whilst the future-orientated Grand Fire Trine acknowledges how present actions and ideas influence our prospects. All the while, the Sun in Virgo accents useful strengths and skills for the meaningful activity that gives life purpose and drive. 

☆ Also worthy of note is how both Sun and Moon are also in positive aspect to Pluto, suggesting whatever our situation, a shared transformation is happening. Because these aspects are positive they also indicate we can emerge from this Full Moon with our emotions and ego intact. 

☆ Together the Pisces Moon unites with Neptune to form a wide conjunction with shamanic Chiron the zodiac’s wounded medicine man. This combination inspires unconditional cosmic love, compassion and forgiveness, specifically by not holding onto blame or shame whilst dream healing (I suggest that you keep a record of your dreams or make an old-fashioned vision board).  A Pisces stellium opposite Virgo also indicates the ability to imagine a powerful restoration. Remember thoughts have wings and what we think can become a reality; which brings me to the third planetary feature during this Full Moon, concerning Mercury, the quick-thinking celestial courier. 

☆ There are several astrological points to consider with Mercury as the healer, wheeler dealer now station at the end of the retrograde period, to go forward on the very same degree as the Sun occupied during the infamous Solar Eclipse. Mercury – and Mars – will also conjunct fixed star Regulus, indicating great success in the fields of action and communication (which comes with a proviso: as long as one is not motivated by revenge, then one loses all, including respect). Yet Mercury is still not out of the shadow period until at least 12^th September; and a talking point until the Autumn Equinox 22^nd September. So if you have big decisions to make, please take your time to question incentives and to digest and understand this is not a time to rush into life-changing situations. That may well come about around the start of the next lunation, 20^th September, or indeed a week later with a First Quarter Moon instigates change on 28^th September, when expansive Jupiter opposes shocking Uranus, and radical twists and turns could related to (technological) issues as far back as 2010/11. 

This last aspect comes into planetary play over the Full Moon with a ‘Kite Formation’ which involves the 2017 Phoenix Grand Fire Trine. A ‘Kite’ sees the Trine, three planets 120° apart, coupled with a 60°sextile aspect forming a midpoint between two of the planets. In this case that midpoint is between Saturn and Mercury (mindful of responsibility) to expansive Jupiter, which is then in opposition to Uranus, the agent of change. This ‘opposition’ then forms the axis of the Kite, suggesting Uranus is dominant when funnelling excitement, i.e. change really is the only constant, even if that change is a little chaotic. 

☆ The key to riding change is to make adjustments, aware of the intensity of the present moment. Because Uranus clarifies in sudden, sometimes outrageous ways, a Uranus aspect demonstrates how not to cling to desired outcomes, but to remain open to opportunities that come our way, and to embrace the future with a compassionate and altruistic world view, with hope in our heart.

☯ ☆ ☯ As Spirit Sun moves into harmonious and peaceful Libra, the sensitive Moon moves into friendly Aquarius, we give thanks to both, our teachers and our spiritual friends.

☯ ☆ ☯ On this day of balancing light, when both of Earth’s hemispheres, north and south, experience the same equal day and equal night, light and dark, yin and yang, I’m reminded how His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, talked recently in London about the importance of balancing the negativity we see in the world with all the everyday positive goodness we experience. For instance, if we find the global news depressing (and who doesn’t) then in order to not get disheartened we can recall the kindness of others, which we constantly encounter, such as a call from a friend to see how we are, or a mate that brings refreshment or, if you’re really lucky, the nice person who let you join the traffic flow before them, even when traffic is slow, or how a loved one made sure we are fed and watered. You see, there are a myriad of all small actions which make our everyday world and interactions with others so much lighter and brighter, even as the northern hemisphere moves to embrace the darker yin: all we need to do is to give thanks and remember them and pay the kindness forward, noting how our own happiness also depends upon making others happy.

☯ 22nd-23rd September ~> Dark Moon Equinox: Changes in the year of the Horse @4:29bst (10:29Est)

✣ From a personal perspective, this equinox accents the need for harmonious relations and healthier emotions. From the worldly perspective, it’s interesting to note the major theme of the collective’s focus, especially when a ‘generational’ planet does something special at a Cardinal solar marker (Uranus, Neptune & Pluto are generational planets), highlighting collective karma. Because energy flows where attention goes, such matters can dictate how the masses are feeling at a time of the Sun’s naturally important turning points. I mention this now because this Dark Moon Equinox is marked by transformational Pluto, planet of oligarchs and hidden, underworld shadows, now going forward after a five month retrograde. Pluto bearing down at 11degrees Capricorn (and anyone with cardinal planets at this degree will also be re-emerging from an internal restructuring), suggests those in positions of power are emerging from a core reform that can impact the health of Mother Earth: Today’s announcement that a family of investors (Pluto) are looking to divest fossil fuel and put their energy into renewables (also Pluto) is rather encouraging, just as hundreds of thousands took to the streets, across the globe, to proclaim the need for an awareness of climate change due to human-made pollution (again Pluto, but also Neptune).

✣ Equinox is also a time of balancing opposites, light and dark, warm and cool, old and new, desire and gratitude. The New Libra Moon on Wednesday 24th encourages confidence and change. As Sun & Moon move into harmonizing Libra, those of us in the northern hemisphere can begin to embrace the feminine and receptive, cool inward yin; while in the southern hemisphere Sun’s yang summer light is growing. One last point to note is how auroras often accompany equinoxes, and in a moonless sky Northern Lights could be quite dramatic, with just a wisp of solar winds to stir heart-mind into action. _/\_ ૐ•´¯`•.¸¸.♥

✶ With Spirit Sun in the sign of the Virgo Goddess, and the sensitive Moon at home in Cancer, the Lights now reflect a deeply feminine caring quality. Subjects to which we feel an innate kind of loyalty and need to protect, such as health and work, (female) friends and family (Sangha), the historical past - as well as personal creativity - all can now blossom and bloom by showing the kind of love a mother would nurture her child - even when/if self-administering.

✶ A Dark Moon Equinox is days away, 23rd September, when aligning with Earth’s balance of light and dark between the hemispheres will encourage a poised and steady, confident heart. In the midst of this natural change of season, calm stability is more easily achieved by relaxing into where you are now, super cool, with nothing to regret, nor anything to strive for, just resting in the still point of balance, inherently mindful and meditative of life, love and light.

✶ From the astrological perspective, and depending upon which side of Gaia you are, this autumnal/spring equinoctial marker is followed swiftly by a galactically influenced new Libra Moon on the 24th. This New Moon, in the Sign of the Scales, will conjunct the ‘Super Galactic Centre’ – the centre around which our own Milky Way galaxy, along with other galaxies, spiral. And as all things are interconnected (through the conscious Buddha field of love and light), a new Moon upon this powerful but potentially peaceful sensitive Libran point is mind-boggling in its’ extensive vastness – it’s a though the existence of our own ‘Immeasurable Heaven’ (within the recently named ‘Laneakia’), is instinctively and most naturally drawn to love, peace and equality.

✶ Jupiter Trine Uranus ~> Sept 2nd ❤ A visionary healing Buddha Moon

September 2nd ~> _/\_ Today’s Medicine Buddha sees the Last Quarter Moon in forward-thinking Sagittarius, squaring up to Spirit Sun in earthy, healing Virgo. This mutable combination of Lights indicates change through helpful action; as the Divine Virgo Goddess is in service with the generous Centaur Sage, a myriad of practical (but possibly unfamiliar) solutions are available right now; whatever the issue, be it mental, physical or spiritual, the Moon in Sagittarius challenges one to open the mind and see the bigger, more magical picture at play.
