SakaDawa ~> 28/29th May New Moon in Gemni

A New Gemini Moon, during the year of the dynamic Green Wood Horse, on the 28th/29th May at 18:40UT, sees the start of a lunar cycle when Himalayan Buddhists celebrate ‘SakaDawa’, and the birth, enlightenment and paranirvana of Gautama Sakyamuni Buddha. Throughout this next lunation, karma is multiplied 100x. Creating merit is encouraged. Karma is further multiplied 100billion x at the Saka Dawa Full Sagittarius Moon, bringing teachings to and from the cosmic Heart Guru.

Whatever is set into motion with this New Moon cycle, spiritual practice or healing project, or romance even, is celestially sealed with three incredibly optimistic astral markers, creating a wave of powerful cosmic energy; firstly with the sacred Six Pointed Earth-Water Star ✡ on the 5th June; culminating with the blessed festival of SakaDawa ۞ at Full Moon 13th June; and for magically Divine Feminine Solar-Luna interaction, with a last quarter waning Dakini moon at Summer/Winter Solstice ☼ June 21/22nd, bringing this holy lunation around full bliss!

Also, at this start of SakaDawa lunation, Gemini Sun/Moon/Healing Goddess Hygeia are in hard square to compassionate Neptune in Pisces, to learn how to heal others with kindness and consideration. By the end of this lunar cycle (June 27th) Neptune then makes a much better aspect and trineS the Cancer Sun/Moon. Generally speaking, this shift from tough aspect to easy makes this a month of potential peak blissful experiences, particularly when surrendering in devotion, to be of spiritual service for the greater good in the world. ॐ_/\_

Wishing for all beings to reach enlightment with a teaching from Verse 29 from Atisha's ‘Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment',"I shall not be eager to reach enlightenment in the quickest way, but shall stay behind till the very end for the sake of a single being."

ॐ Dakini Day ~> May 23rd/24th ॐ_/♥\_ॐ_/♥\_ॐ_/♥\_

Coming into the last major phase of this moon cycle, with only five days before the New Gemini Moon that starts the month of SakaDawa, today’s Dakini Moon in Aries puts fire in your soul and brilliance at the heart.

This highly independent Aries Moon also activates the Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun, the current celestial configuration t
hat is dynamic, active and extremely influential. Because this Grand Cross also involves generational planets, it means the initiation into transformation and often dramatic change is felt by everyone, in one way or another. Whether the changes we individually go through are seen or unseen (as in spiritual or psychological), it is over this weekend that the initiating power and insight from the Divine Feminine (which we all possess) that now sets the stage for liberation, with this super-strong and passionate Aries Moon.

Note this adventurous Aries Moon conjuncts wild-card Uranus on Saturday 24th, when insight can come from out of the blue. As can less helpful emotions, such as egotism, selfishness and anger. That Uranus is the Hierarchical ruler of Aries, it does however suggest raising the altruistic intention and helping others is the way to help oneself.

Today’s positive aspect from the Gemini Sun and Aries Moon also coincides with Mercury entering into the shadow phase of its retrograde, which will take place June 7th until July 1st. An applying shadow phase tends to alert us to possible issues which will need extra attention during the retrograde. And as Mercury rules Gemini there’s a double emphasis upon healing, communication and, dare I say, trickery. Yet there may even be more solutions than usual, as well as more slip-ups. Gemini and Mercury are both known as being quick-witted and highly versed in mental gymnastics, aware there are many paths, each with interesting twists and turns which lead to the same place – and much will depend upon our ability juggle many things at the same time, as well as relations with sangha and friends, as to the speed to which we achieve the aims we now set forth over these next few days.

✿ Tara ~ Medicine Moon ✿◕‿◕✿ 21st - 22nd May _/\_

Spirit Sun now shifts the celestial spotlight away from the steady Bull, to focus upon free-flowing, intellectual Gemini. This move into the sign of the twins helps shape the mind and thoughts by encouraging a vivid imagination and the power to visualize, rousing a certain curiosity to communicate and analyze personal needs, set against a background of communal issues, both of which may seem all-consuming.

Whether wanting to save oneself - or the world – forgiveness could be called for now, and again towards the end of May, when raising Bodhicitta and generating compassion is at the heart of self-development. This intense pressure for personal changes within collective transformation shows little sign of letting up throughout this zodiacal month, because dynamic Mars once again activates the Cardinal Cross of Central Spiritual Sun. Thankfully the scarlet the planet of action, Mars, has now put on the breaks after four and half months of retrograde motion in Libra, sign of balance and harmony, and is now going forward. Though certain (relationship) issues may have experienced a bumpy turn around these past few days, a direct Mars is now moving to encounter Goddesses Vesta & Ceres, suggesting there’s merit in nurturing a sacred sexuality, especially if one is to cultivate harmonious personal relations. This leads me to reiterate now how the waning phase of a Moon cycle is specifically attributed to the Divine Feminine in Tibetan astrology.

With Goddess Tara presiding over this last quarter 21st-22nd May, it is the intuitive feminine wisdom (which we all have) that provides the courage and strength to free us from fear and anxiety. Also during this latter part of our current lunar cycle the Sun is conjunct the healing asteroid Goddess Hygeia, plus the deeply sensitive Pisces Moon is conjunct compassionate Neptune. Thus ‘The Lights’ now emphasize healing through tolerance and kindness as ways to wind-down this lunation and, at the same time, prepare to begin clearing obstacles that might obscure the month of SakaDawa, when Himalayan Buddhist celebrate Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and paranirvana, which begins just after the new Moon, May 29th.

With ℒℴѵℯ_/✿\_ & thanks to the beautifully modern woman, standing Green Tara, whose mantra is...
"Om Tara Tutare Ture Soha"_/\_

United Nations Vesek & Buddha Purnima __/❤\__ 13-14th May 2014

Celebrating Buddha’s birth, enlightenment & paranirvana _/☼\_

A Full Scorpio Moon at 20:16BST highlights poignant renewal when reflecting the light of Spirit Sun in earthy Taurus – the sign of the Moon’s exaltation. Scorpio represents rebirth, often through difficult and trying circumstance, while Taurus is nourishing, earthy and solid. So while the Moon traverses insightful Scorpio, this deeply profound Buddha Moon says much about the need for emotional stability in order to see the light and be metaphorically reborn.

This 24 degree Taurus Sun also emphasizes a realistic approach to all our endeavors, which then helps to develop a greater understanding of our own world, and personal experiences. Realism overcomes illusion and delusion, as well as being practical when dealing with karma and the result from action (in thought, word or deed), from which there is no escape.

In his book "Old Path, White Clouds" Thich Nhat Hanh tells the story of the Buddha pointing at the moon, who says "I must state clearly that my teaching is a method to experience reality and not reality itself, just as a finger pointing at the moon is not the moon itself. A thinking person makes use of the finger to see the moon. A person who only looks at the finger and mistakes it for the moon will never see the real moon."

So while we express devotion and love of Buddha’s life during Vesak & Buddha Purnima (and again on SakaDawa 13th June for Tibetan Buddhists), perhaps the most important aspect is to be realistic, and see one’s life clearly for what it is, to walk the talk, and put Buddha’s teachings of the 8-fold Noble Path into action, starting with the ‘right view’: Note now how you feel, what you’re thinking, how you communicate, what you do and how you do it; be aware that when you’re mindful of yourself in relation to the world around you that you are self-enabled to transform something quite ordinary into the extraordinarily beautiful and meaningful. Then watch your light of wisdom magically grow...

Happy Vesek everyone!

☩ Grand Cross & Grand Sextile = Metatron ~> Manifesting spirit into matter__/❤\__ May 9-10th

✡ ☩ ☼ ✶ ☽
__/❤\__
There are times when the heavens create truly sacred geometry. And in this merry month of May, on the day when we honor our (inner) teacher, Guru Rinpoche Day, we have one of these beautifully rare celestial moments that sparkles with LoveLight. While the dynamic ‘Cardinal Cross of the Ce
ntral Spiritual Sun’ is still active until the end of May (and with varying intensity into next year), a most magnificent ‘Grand Sextile’, with a double tetrahedron, fleeting forms a six-pointed star to bless us for the next day or so. This star is similar to the one from last summer, in as much as it is feminine and yin in nature, with the two interlocking ‘Grand Trines’ in Earth and Water elements, accenting emotional steadiness and the ability to handle peaks and troughs more easily.

Emphasizing emotional healing through unconditional compassion (starting with one’s self), the Virgo Moon brings helpful practicality to the fore. By seeing the bigger picture of how we are intricately connected to each other and our environment, we can expand the heart-mind with loving kindness; allowing insight into past karma to continue throughout the United Nations Vesak Full Moon (13th-14th-15th May). During this period, a profound spiritual stability and transformation is inevitable when letting-go of psychological power-mongering baggage enables one to feel lighter and freer to shine and radiate natural goodness.

May your sacred stars always twinkle, my friends

☸ Buddha's birthday ~> Vesak & Sakadawa

May 6-7-8th __/\__ With the Sun in Taurus, the Buddhist world now begins to honor the birth of the Buddha. Though it must be noted that Siddhārtha Gautama Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth date varies with tradition; so while Himalayan Buddhists celebrate his birth, enlightenment, and paranirvana this year with SakaDawa on June 13th, many other Buddhist countries begin now to celebrate the birth of Buddha, just as the earthy Taurean Sun squares today’s first quarter Leo Moon - an astrological combination symbolic of stabilizing the spirit by courageously overcome ego’s obstacles.

And on the Full Scorpio Moon, accenting spiritual transformation, most of Asia celebratez Vesak, revering the Buddha’s life and teachings on 13/14th May.

Today, however, in my Tibetan Buddhist tradition, we make our monthly offerings to the healing power of the Medicine Buddha. Due to Saturn's opposition to the illuminating Sun at this first quarter, sun-ruled Leo Moon, the astral focus currently tends towards the results of self-created karma now coming into sharper focus over the next few days - so that any unhelpful action can be transformed and healed, ready for an emotionally cathartic Full Scorpio Moon a week away. __/\__ ☼✶•*¨*•.¸¸✶

△ Taurus Sun sextile Jupiter in Cancer ~ May 5-6-7-8th '14

Living in the present is the way of a mindful spiritual warrior. To be aware of each moment means we can live life to its fullest. But still, on a relative level, it sometimes helps to look back and assess how we’ve come along when developing potential. In astrology it is the planet Jupiter that provides the 360° perspective of past, present and future, giving us the ability to measure time, distance, and our association with Oneness.

Since Solstice ’13, optimistic Jupiter has been exalted in sensitive Cancer, from where he soothes painful past memories at the same time offering hope for the future. And as Cosmic Guru, beneficent Jupiter holds a key role in being able to synthesize the activity of this particular moment in time, through the currently waning Cardinal Cross which pressed the surge button for dynamic spiritual growth.

As well as being involved with a magical Grand Water Trine (leading to another Grand Sextile, Sacred Star later this week!) which generates responsible healing on deep cellular level, Jupiter is also making his last major aspect to the stabilizing Taurus Sun, Tuesday 6th May, in a closing cycle which ends, and therefore marks a fabulous new beginning with the Full July SuperMoon, still two months away. This, therefore, is the time to head to the top of the metaphoric mountain and imbibe some of Jupiter’s encouraging wisdom; with panoramic vision find space to relax with plans and ideas, and see what needs to be brought together in order to peacefully move into and embrace the changing world. All the while Goddess Venus, now in assertive Aries, is nudging up to visionary Uranus, reminding us to love living in the present, wherever we may be. After all, ‘now’ is all we have and is the springboard into the future. Best use each moment wisely. ☼✶•*¨*•.¸¸

& ponder this...
“If you are depressed you are living in the past.
If you are anxious you are living in the future.
If you are at peace you are living in the present.” ~ Lao Tzu
