☉☽ A closing Moon phase highlights the need to heal and re-orientate by upholding principles with pure intention and pure heart. With Spirit Sun currently in truth-seeking Sagittarius, squaring the sensitive Moon in practical Virgo, the closing Last Quarter Moon of 2017 emphases planning and reorganising (Mercury retrograde, until 23rd) with a cautious and realistic view, and an eye for detail. 

☉☽ This combination of ‘The Lights’, Virgo and Sagittarius, is mutable, accenting change is surely coming. A New Moon on the 18th December both Sun and Moon conjunct the Galactic centre, and only days away from the Solstice turning point and the Yule Fire Festival, when Time Lord Saturn will also be in Capricorn for the first time in 29 years. Aim for the light. And make readjustments to one’s course: revise now the remedies that purify and heal, as well as arranging time and space for activities that broaden the mind, deepen spiritual development, and encourage an appreciation of the Sacred Feminine’s wisdom.

☉☽ The Virgo Moon is opposite charitable Neptune in Pisces, to which the Sagittarian Sun forms a challenging ‘T’ square. Giving thanks opens one to receiving the Divine’s universal blessings. 

Remember how illusion and delusion are sourced in ego’s ignorance. Give life meaning: make time to rest in the light heart of consciousness, to meditate and inspire increased personal wisdom, kindness and awareness that can, in turn, be used to benefit the lives of suffering sentient beings. 

Himalayan Buddhists invoke Goddess Tara to help to garner strength. The darkest time of Great Yin is just before the Cosmic Solstice Sun wheel turns to change emphasis upon the light. Goddess Tara can now help relax and focus upon a speedy purification of body, speech and mind, to cultivate the wisdom and compassion that helps to overcome obstacles.

☼ ✶☽ Virtuous actions are duly rewarded when the Moon is in Virgo, especially beneficial when the last quarter moon is conjunct favourable Jupiter, the planet which rules Sagittarius, the sign through which Spirit Sun is now passing.  Sagittarius accents truth, freedom and abstract concepts that may be academic as well as spiritual; thus it’s highly recommended to maintain an open mind whenever Sagittarius and Jupiter are at the centre of the celestial stage.  Yet Sun still conjuncts Saturn; and the heaviness of karmic negativity cautions the mind towards restrained discipline, to not over-reach in the name of zealous enthusiasm.

☼ ☾ With today’s lunar emphasis upon the healing qualities of the Divine Feminine, honouring the Great Mother liberator can free us from fear and protect from suffering. All the while, the generous Sagittarian Sun inspires one to remain confident and optimistic, to know that rainbows and miracles do happen, and to encourage an open mind as the means to a kind and open heart. 

♅⚥ ♇ Tomorrow, the 16th, sees the 6th of 7 exact squares between generational planets Uranus and Pluto, accenting a particularly long struggle for freedom within this powerful period of collective transformation.  This configuration which began 2012, demands the kind of change where altruism and lucidity can flourish, where all beings are nurtured with an awareness of their authentic presence.

The Sacred Goddess (within) protects from having the wrong view during challenging times, helping to retain a balanced mind that frees from harmful negative emotions.  And as we turn towards Solstice with a New Capricorn Moon on the 22nd, when the New Light King is born (in the Northern Hemisphere), it is the unconditional love of the glorious Goddess who prepares to act and tender compassionate healing, even in our darkest hours. ☼ ✶☽ The purifying and healing power of this lunar cycle's Balsamic Virgo moon is phenomenally strong, as Lunar Dakini provides the Divine feminine's much- needed therapeutic touch in degenerate times.  With dedicated care and organization, negativity can now be banished into the void from whence it came.

✶ Among four celestial bodies in Scorpio (including asteroid Pallas Athena, strategic female policy maker) the fixed Scorpio Sun conjuncts Karmic Saturn. Lessons we learn from authoritative Saturn are always serious and important; in Scorpio, the issues tend to be emotionally charged and intense. And when the Sun meets Saturn light is shed upon profound and sometimes dark and difficult subjects, such as death and inheritance, letting-go and renewal. Marking boundaries and being more disciplined and responsible may help to operate easily within a framework that transforms challenging circumstance into stabilized, workable situations.  Good time to get real and tidy-up one's act.

✶ Medicine Buddha ~ Tara Moon ~> June 5th/6th __/❤\__ Sacred Star

There are times when the heavens specifically concentrate upon certain energies. This First Quarter Moon with the Gemini Sun and Virgo Moon is such a time, as the emphasis of ‘The Lights’, Sun and Moon, spotlight healing of all kinds: physical, mental and spiritual.

Be aware of the mind’s ability to influence progress, remaining positive is crucial to the speed of recovery. Try not to wallow in any mire, focus instead up that which brings joy. Quicksilver Gemini Sun is still conjunct healing asteroid Hygeia, who was wife/aid to Aesculapius, the father of our modern medicine, accenting the call for swift solutions (though to be fair, family/media issues may be slowed by Mercury retrograde, starting 7th June for three weeks); The Sun in hard aspect to thoughtful and considerate Virgo Moon suggests having the ability to change course and think quickly, even whilst on the move.

This profoundly healing Moon phase also configures the enchanting six-pointed Grand Sextile, a sacred star formation connecting a stabilizing Earth Trine with the deeply intuitive current Water Trine. Though this beautiful star formation is fleeting, indeed, it will be waning tomorrow, the celestial energy for 5th and 6th June is still very much geared towards overcoming obstacles by being both, realistic AND magical. En route to the karma multiplied Saka Dawa Full Moon on the 13th, now is the time for helpful visualization and practical application to any problem. So keep in the mind's eye an end image, and be prepared to move fast to apply speedy solutions to any issue, no matter how big or small the difficulty might seem.

There are times when the heavens create truly sacred geometry. And in this merry month of May, on the day when we honor our (inner) teacher, Guru Rinpoche Day, we have one of these beautifully rare celestial moments that sparkles with LoveLight. While the dynamic ‘Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun’ is still active until the end of May (and with varying intensity into next year), a most magnificent ‘Grand Sextile’, with a double tetrahedron, fleeting forms a six-pointed star to bless us for the next day or so. This star is similar to the one from last summer, in as much as it is feminine and yin in nature, with the two interlocking ‘Grand Trines’ in Earth and Water elements, accenting emotional steadiness and the ability to handle peaks and troughs more easily.

Emphasizing emotional healing through unconditional compassion (starting with one’s self), the Virgo Moon brings helpful practicality to the fore. By seeing the bigger picture of how we are intricately connected to each other and our environment, we can expand the heart-mind with loving kindness; allowing insight into past karma to continue throughout the United Nations Vesak Full Moon (13th-14th-15th May). During this period, a profound spiritual stability and transformation is inevitable when letting-go of psychological power-mongering baggage enables one to feel lighter and freer to shine and radiate natural goodness.

☽ Lhabab Düchen Sunday 24th November __/❤\__

‘Festival of Buddha’s Descent from Heaven'

KARMA MULITPLIED DAY (good or bad) x 10 million!

Lhabab Duchen is one of the four most important days in the Buddhist calendar. The 21st day of the 9th Tibetan month sees the celebration of Buddha’s return to the human realms from Indra’s Heaven; after spending three months and seven days in the sphere of the Deva’s, repaying his Mother’s kindness, liberating her and teaching the dharma. Buddha’s return to Earth (at the age of 41 – a Uranus oppostion, indicating a change of life) is considered to be one his eight great deeds.

From the feminine bliss realm (the realm of the 33, the Trayastrimsa) Buddha returned via a triple ladder, which was made by Vishvakarma, the Hindu god of architecture and machines. Built from gold, crystal and lapis lazuli, this triple ladder stretches all the way from Mount Meru to Earth (symbolic of illumination from crown chakra to base chakra, and the Tantrika using the central channel and right and left channels of the subtle body as vehicles for liberation).

At the appointed hour (on the Last Quarter Moon in Virgo, in definite aspect to the teaching Sagittarius Sun ) on the right-hand golden ladder appeared the all-powerful, all-seeing Bramha, with the fine form deities; on the left-hand crystal ladder came dorje-wielding Indra, with the Lords of the sensual worlds; while Buddha descended via the central lapis lazuli ladder, representing the middle path and an intimate relation with the realms of meditation, infinite space, and infinite consciousness; thus bringing protective wisdom of the Devas, from heaven to earth, the reborn Buddha illustrates how walking the Dharma path, the middle path, with loving kindness and compassion helps to overcomes ignorance and the duality of form and formless, nothing and everything.

With laser like perception, Spirit Sun in Scorpio now makes a most harmonious aspect to the wholesome and thoughtful Virgo Moon. Such a combination of ‘The Lights’ encourages eagle-eyed discernment which the organised mind can apply to purifying defiled states of consciousness, changing habits of a lifetime, improving diet, as well as clearing physical space, removing emotional obstacles and freeing psychic karma. ✡ Medicine Buddha & a Six-pointed Star ~> June 2013

☼ ~✶~☽ An extraordinary pattern dominated this lunation's Medicine Buddha Moon, a six-pointed star involving two interlocking triangles: one is the summer’s Grand Trine in Water, the other a fleeting Grand Earth Trine, made all the more stable with a first quarter Moon in Virgo. This formidable feminine formation implies we are already intuitively aware of the healing needed within the body, as well as with our environment; the restorative Virgo Moon is also opposite shamanic healer, Chiron, quickly overcoming inhibited emotion, enabling the expression of needs and feelings in a practical manner.

A most valuable healing factor is to note how the current Gemini Sun/Jupiter conjunction highlights bamboozle hoop-la and hysteria, as well as an influx of important information. Knowing one’s connection to joy and beauty is vital in being able to maintain the healthy psyche that stops one from falling for any superficial hype, and encourages access to our natural wisdom, sensitivity, and intuition.

~> The cosmic wheel turns, and Solstice full SuperMoon (Sunday 23rd @14:32BST) emphasizes the cosmic fire that flows from the heart of the Solstice Sun, as well as the mighty strength of the Grand Water Trine.
