☆ •°*☾ “With the light of wisdom we leave behind the forest of confusion. With determination we learn, reflect and practice” – Thich Nhat Hanh _/\_ ☽ *°•.☆

☆ Spirit Sun now shines that light of wisdom, alongside responsible Saturn, and informative Mercury, all in the sign of the archer. This authoritative Sagittarian trio points the way of higher truths, both relative, in the here and now, and ultimate, in that we are all one, unifying wisdom and compassion, emptiness and bliss.
☆ On the relative truth level, however, optimism and clarity may be in short supply and harsh reality may be tougher than we’d like. Thus, it is most important to take personal responsibility to practice generating warmth and goodness at the heart and keep hope alive. Certainly the Sun/Saturn/Mercury opposing a full Moon at 3Gemini (22:44gmt, Wednesday 25th) accent the need to consider and appreciate the difference between knowledge and experience, beliefs and reality; however abstract or different ideas may seem, remain cheerful and invite luck (i.e. good timing) into life, which is easier to recognise and apply when happy.
☆Due to a potentially over-reaching hard-line Saturn squaring-up to illusory Neptune, this is not an easy conjunction of planets. Neptune is also the generational gauge of dreams and fashion, mystical and psychic sensitivity (which is currently set to phantasmagorical ;) ).
☆☆ Astro Note: this is a closing Saturn/Neptune square, of a 36-ish-year cycle; one that began in 1989/90 with an era of (spiritual) initiation that removed and dissolved traditional boundaries. These two planets now mark a (collective) crisis in consciousness. Our reactions to current circumstances carry serious and lasting karmic consequence, having the seal of TimeLord Saturn, and the potential for defining moments for personal and professional accomplishments. All the while a full Gemini Moon reflects how austerity, fear and doubt make it doubly hard to tame a monkey mind that yearns for a distraction from the suffering. At the same time Saturn/Neptune show how the practice of mindfulness enables one to unhook from any addiction (particularly to fear, so that phobias can be kept at bay). All we have to do is access and practice tuning into the universal wisdom mind (which resides in the heart) and hear what it says i.e. ask yourself if you can believe all you hear/read/see? Whatever you perceive, remember that compassion for all beings, as well as one’s self, is the way the sage grows wise and remains true to his or her personal goodness, the authentic self: one who is generous and kind even when/if faced with confusing or conflicting situations. _/\_

Change is inevitable. Or as Heraclitus says "Change is the only
constant". Understanding impermanence and that nothing is ‘fixed’ but
everything is subject to alteration is essential in Buddhist philosophy.
But it’s when and how we change, especially breaking out of negative
patters or restrictive molds that can make all the difference to our
emotional, mental and physical well-being. With the current retro
Mercury and Mars in Gemini, the time now is ripe to re-think, re-work,
re-consider changes, in direction, in approach, and even in the deepest
recesses of the heart-mind, as the planets suggest the plasticity of
the mind is now heightened, particularly by personal active intervention
and continuous movement. Indeed, it may be time now to (re)consider new
ways of looking at the same old thing, or even walking down another
street to get a completely different point of view...
Here's a wonderful poem, often spoken by Sogyal Rinpoche, to illustrate
how we change, and how habits can be broken and life improves with
practiced mindfulness:
“Autobiography In Five Chapters
1) I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost... I am hopeless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.
2) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I'm in the same place.
But it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.
3) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in... it's a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
4) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.
5) I walk down another street.”

There are times when the heavens specifically concentrate upon certain
energies. This First Quarter Moon with the Gemini Sun and Virgo Moon is
such a time, as the emphasis of ‘The Lights’, Sun and Moon, spotlight
healing of all kinds: physical, mental and spiritual.
Be aware of the mind’s ability to influence progress, remaining positive is crucial
to the speed of recovery. Try not to wallow in any mire, focus instead
up that which brings joy. Quicksilver Gemini Sun is still conjunct
healing asteroid Hygeia, who was wife/aid to Aesculapius, the father of
our modern medicine, accenting the call for swift solutions (though to
be fair, family/media issues may be slowed by Mercury retrograde,
starting 7th June for three weeks); The Sun in hard aspect to thoughtful
and considerate Virgo Moon suggests having the ability to change course
and think quickly, even whilst on the move.
This profoundly
healing Moon phase also configures the enchanting six-pointed Grand
Sextile, a sacred star formation connecting a stabilizing Earth Trine
with the deeply intuitive current Water Trine. Though this beautiful
star formation is fleeting, indeed, it will be waning tomorrow, the
celestial energy for 5th and 6th June is still very much geared towards
overcoming obstacles by being both, realistic AND magical. En route to
the karma multiplied Saka Dawa Full Moon on the 13th, now is the time
for helpful visualization and practical application to any problem. So
keep in the mind's eye an end image, and be prepared to move fast to
apply speedy solutions to any issue, no matter how big or small the
difficulty might seem.
“We are shaped by our thoughts; we
become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow
that never leaves.” Buddha

Maintaining a quiet mind during this the Dark Moon presents a
challenge, as Moon conjuncts active Mars and policymaker Pallas Athena,
whilst all in communicative Gemini – the same sign as tomorrow’s new
Moon, when our nurturing Moon conjoins Spirit Sun (and expansive
Jupiter) at 16:54 BST (11:54EST).
☆ A multi-dextrous Gemini juggles ideas, fact and figures, as well as conveying information,
goods, and medicine (and therein lays the gift of the celestial
courier). With no less five celestial markers now in Gemini, it suggests
we’re on information overload (but still with an inclination towards
healing); brains could whir trying to understand a planet involved in
seemingly endless chitter-chatter. Yet making sense of the dualistic
world now demands different tactics than ordinary number-crunching
analysis, especially as energy levels tend to be naturally low at dark
Moon. Consider stepping back from the monkey mind to revitalise and
strengthen heart and soul, and potentially provide answers to tricky
questions. These planets in airy Gemini not only emphasise data and
brilliant intelligence, but also the importance of giving the mind
much-needed space, to shape new ideas and grow.
When in the
still silence of space, mind naturally radiates; and it is in this state
that insight naturally arises – which is why watching our breath in
meditation is so helpful for personal decision making, as well as
generating mindfulness towards others, rooted at One with all that we
are.
Also today Neptune, planet of dreams, meditation and
unconditional compassion begins a 5-month retrograde in Pisces; this
extra-long transit teaches universal forgiveness (among other
qualities), internalising kindness and sympathy.

As you breathe out, cherish all Beings.”
