Galactic Heart SakaDawa Honey Moon ~> 2019

Galactic Heart SakaDawa Honey Moon ~>
25°55’ Sagittarius
Only a few days before Solstice, aligning exactly with the spiralling Galactic Centre at 26° Sagittarius, 8:31UT Monday 17th June, this Full Honey Moon assures copious amounts of sweetness, hope, and mystery.

As cute as that may sound, keep your wits about you. Because during a Full Moon that revolves around the Milky Way in the sign of the Archer conjunct the compact gamma-ray radio source, Sagittarius A, we require information, truth, and faith, in order to navigate the unknown. Having eyes in the back of your head will also help.

During the Full Honey Moon when Luna tunes into the Galactic Heart, we can become aware how all kinds of info and ideas are being signalled for us to pick-up and digest. Through whatever platform you use to communicate (through the Gemini Sun), bear in mind that whatever is heard or received, be it a direct instruction or plain-old gobbledegook, wisdom now shines through by aiming (the Sagittarian archer’s arrow) far and high, all-the-while keeping faith close to heart, expectations and hope in perspective, and a vow to always be okay with whatever happens next.

Indeed, those gifted with a versatile mind and the ability to swiftly spin and change direction upon a dime will do well on this Full Moon, as the quality of ‘Mutable Fire’ carries the tone of a far-reaching Sagittarius Honey Moon horoscope, i.e. this is a Moon of changeable action that encourages adjustments to be sweet in ease and hope.

Also empowering this hipster swivelling Moon to move and groove whilst staying on emotional centre and surround oneself with all good things is expansive Jupiter, in home sign Sagittarius, where Jupiter positively amplifies everything, including the potential for luck and success.

Jupiter at home in Sagittarius plays a major role in this horoscope!
Beneficent Jupiter is a helpful teacher, a bit like a planetary St. Nicholas - bestowing good fortune, as well the desire to travel and expand horizons.  With strong moral convictions, generous good-naturedness and a glint in all knowing Jupiter’s wisdom eye, a conjunction of the cosmic and munificent Guru, Jupiter, with the soulful Full Moon, splendour and enthusiasm also double-up to magnify all kinds of feelings and situations, distances and measurements, stories and beliefs. No doubt tall tales will entertain and enchant; and some will dine on Full Moon antics for years to come. But essentially the Moon and Jupiter together point to emotional truths that embrace individual freedoms, especially the freedom to explore abstract ideas that give life meaning; and those deeply significant experiences that become part of our personal philosophy and beliefs, customs and ceremony.

Just be warned: there is no point being small-minded when Jupiter presents large. Nor should one be surprised if gaiety goes over the top, balloons pop, and much hot air is released.

And if it all gets too much then take solace from Jupiter-Neptune enlightened artist William Blake’s quote the road to excess leads to a font of wisdom”

☆ Strong lessons are to be learned from the Jupitarian generosity of spirit, especially in longevity (of life, project, ideas, law). Know that keeping an open mind is also considered healthy for the heartmind and body! Interestingly, long-lasting civilisations are ones that appreciate big-hearted Jupiter’s greater vision, and are accommodating in tolerating others’ principles and religion, understanding how we are all children of the starry heavens.

With the growing Moon we can even look up to the midnight sky and see Jupiter and the purple-blue sparkles that radiate from this celestial King of Planets. To symbolically experience Jupiter’s 360° panoramic perspective on life, find a high spot to watch Moonrise; on the first night of the Full Moon 16th June, Jupiter will be on the left of the Moon; also for culmination; by the 18th, Jupiter will be on the right of the Moon, and for three nights tune into the Heart of the Galaxy.

Note Jupiter at home in Sagittarius is THE planetary placement for understanding new discoveries and adventure, especially in the great halls of learning, academia and law, places that broaden the mind – as well as the actual viewpoint.

Open-minded Jupiter is also the ‘driver’, training this ‘locomotive’ chart; i.e. Jupiter, the Sky God with thunderbolt in hand, is first to come over the horizon with the rest of the planets to follow – just how a grandiose Jupiter likes it, leading the planetary precession, imparting optimism and confidence by example. Even if this all sounds like a bit of a party, it is. BUT be aware Jupiter is retrograde; and with the emotional Full Moon it indicates we all need to majorly rework our responses to various different viewpoints – especially those concerning the expansion of freedom and justice, communication and instruction, perhaps even through high-courts and councils if need be, as Jupiter leads the ‘Train of Truth & Freedom’ around the heart of the Galaxy in a spiralling roundabout manner, going over old ground but off the beaten track, the scenic route preferred.

A head spinning this way and that could have its advantages, specifically when grasping the phenomenal astronomical enormity and power that emanates from the Milky Way’s Central Galactic Heart. Such contemplation could even bring Jupiter’s jolly japes and often inflated plans and ideas back into scale. Surely, Jupiter at the Galactic centre will always want to make sense of the Gamma rays and radio waves, pulsars, tightly-packed spinning neutron stars, and dark matter that isn’t under gravitational influence: because all are said to radiate from Sagittarius A, the supermassive black hole which is a cosmic soup from which everything stirs. Indeed, we even use gamma rays to heal, in Cancer therapy for instance; and harm, as in deadly radiation. But the actual power structure of ‘Dark Matter’ is a scientific mystery. To date there isn’t a consensus upon what the pulsating heart of our Milky Way is actually directing Earthbound.

All this and more may be the reason Jupiter and the associated sign of Sagittarius are the astrological indication of seeking truths. Situations that affect large swaths of people veiled from truth, as in often totally obscured, is a theme for 2019, of which the Sagittarian Jupiter shares with nebulous Neptune in a tight, Last Quarter Square, which is exact at just a few hours before the culmination of the Galactic Heart Full Honey Moon (June 16th @15:19UT, 18° Sagittarius Jupiter square 18° Pisces Neptune).

☆ The Full Moon illuminates the opaque; as things unseen need not be confined to subterfuge or hidden plots to take over the world (as in the present Capricorn conjunction of Saturn and Pluto on the South Node); but what we can’t see but often ‘feel’, as in sensing hypnotic strength in magnetic fields, can also be helpful. These sensations could best be described waves of collective wishes and longing, potentially Divine in nature, angelic in approach, and enlightened in presence and purpose, i.e. there is a serious force for good in the world, all we have to do is the believe.

The Jupiter Neptune Square 2019
Call the supremely connected cosmic force which envelops the universe God, Goddess, Nature, the Void, Allah, Buddha, Krishna, Vishnu or Shiva, whatever you want, but the Divine is centre the celestial stage whenever there is a Neptune transit. Activating this year-long (closing) square between knowledgeable Jupiter and dreamy Neptune is a connection that began late May 2009, just after a New Moon in Gemini (for Gemini’s communication skills to play a significant part in this particularly long 13-year cycle), breathing truth and freedom, compassion and love into every cell in our bodies.

Interestingly, this Jupiter-Neptune cycle also keys into Sun’s crosses, as well as the Solar-Lunar and Venusian cycles. Explaining briefly, a New Moon in the sign of the Twins (where the Sun is now) is where we began this influential visionary cycle that takes the world one step closer to the humanitarian Age of Aquarius. Back in 2009, just as this phase of mass interconnection and the internet morphed in to mirror the generational planet Neptune conjunct Jupiter, at 26 Aquarius, social media clicked into place with mainstream tech and A.I., to manipulate and create a group, ‘Big Data’ kind of consciousness.

On a personal level it might be good to recall what was going on Spring 2009: what was ‘new’ for you then? Check what a Big Wide World of inventive interconnection brought to you personally. Ideally, Divine wisdom began to open your wisdom eye for you to be able to visualise a happy and harmonious future crystal clear. Fellow astrologer Astrid Fallon calls this cycle between Jupiter and Neptune the ‘Relationship of ideals to society’s expectations’, because Jupiter provides courage and confidence, and Neptune is a generational planet that tunes into the collective undercurrents where dreams and trends can be symbolised in fashion, music, dance, film, meditation, prayer, yoga, hypnotism, mesmerism.

Through the power of the unspoken ‘Neptunian vibration' connecting to Divinity, all the above activities are also ways conscious self blends with the individual and collective unconscious. All the while sage Jupiter informs of any progress when growing the spiritual light. And Neptune merges bliss into emptiness. As I said, that is the ideal. Often Jupiter’s ability to expand is witnessed within Neptune’s world of illusion and delusion.

Tracking the timing of the 2009 Jupiter-Neptune (illusory) collective wave (of developing spiritual devotion) through the hard aspects, with a First Quarter Square: June 25th 2012, and a First Quarter Moon near the Solstice: this was a very similar celestial set-up to where we are now, bar the fact 2012 also coincided with the first of the historical seven Uranus-Pluto squares that dramatically influenced innovative social trust and control.

The Opposition: 17 September 2015 between Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Virgo was within days of a Lunar Eclipse, accenting Jupiter AND fixed star Spica, representing the grain held by the Sacred Goddess.

Now, at the Last Quarter Square, also around June Solstice but on a Full Moon, we are dealing with a three-part retrograde series that began with a 1st hit: January 13th and a First Quarter Moon. The 2nd exact Square (with both planets retrograde) is now, at the Galactic Heart Honey Moon. A 3rd and final hard challenge is October 21st, also on a first Quarter Moon, and just before a Halloween Full Moon, when the learning to trust one’s intuition is an intrinsic part of becoming a ‘world server’.

Philosophical Jupiter and devoted Neptune won’t meet again April 12th 2022, when both modern and traditional rulers of Pisces come together for the first time since March 1856! And because Jupiter is often the life-saving cavalry, and Neptune rules the oceans, I’d like to think we might be saving the wholesomeness of the planet’s water by then, by purifying the pollution we create, internally and externally. Now, wouldn’t that be a good legacy to read about 170 years from now! Hey, we did say think BIG!

☆ Back to this Full Moon: and if you are feeling cautious, note your gut instinct and what it tells you; if it is ‘beware’, ‘back down’ and ‘take care’, then do (because Mercury and Mars are working together at the Cancer North Node indicating someone (else) in the family (also) has your best interests at heart. So heed any inner-voice which whispers promises of comfort and joy and home-made apple pie – just like Mom used to make ;) ).

And if things don’t come up to Jupiter’s normally high ethical standards, perhaps because of too much Gemini high-jinx, we should still be optimistic, and look to the future with and open heart and a song on our lips. Only please avoid setting yourself up for disappointment by glossing over facts or believing everything you see, hear or think!  Seriously: test and question everything that is important to you with two things, faith in the universal unfolding AND an analytical mind, and events around this Full Moon will show you how you can develop confidence, especially in your spiritual path. And boost oneself for round four (of ten) of the rather trying Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn that challenges our need for certain boundaries and control.

To illuminate our path, this promising Full Moon is also SakaDawa, however, when Himalayan Buddhists celebrate the enlightenment and passing of the Buddha. As such, it’s a day for creating positive thoughts, words, and deeds and generating serious karmic brownie points. Enjoy!

With best wishes for a sparkling Galactic Heart Honey Moon!
With many thanks to Roshi Joan for finding this great quote:
Jack Kerouac: “stare deep into the world before you as if it were the void: innumerable holy ghosts, buddies and saviour gods there hide smiling. all the atoms emitting light inside wavehood, there is no personal separation of any of it. a hummingbird can come into a house and hawk will not: so rest and be assured, while looking for light, you may suddenly be devoured by the darkness and find the true light.”

☩ Full Pink Scorpio Moon ~> April 2018

Full Moon 9°38’ Scorpio ~ April 29th-30th 2018
“If you desire a glorious future, transform the present”
~ Patanjali ~ (2nd century Indian Yogi)

Venerated as Vesek in some countries (honouring ‘Buddha’’s life day; the Full Moon Poya for specifically wishing Buddha’s blessings for friends and readers in Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Mayanmar), most other parts of Asia and Himalayas will be revering the Buddha’s accomplishment May 29th, the next Full Moon, making merit and offerings.  So this current Pink Scorpio lunation, which culminates 29th-30th April (depending upon time zone), leads into the waning cycle that takes one into the month long celebration of SakaDawa – Wesek, and Lord Buddha’s enlightenment, starting 15th May with an New Taurus Moon.

Luna is currently reflecting the light of the realistic Taurean Sun, events and situations surrounding this Sunday night’s Full Scorpio Moon have the potential to become like a celestial mirror, like the Guru teachings revealing a great deal about ourselves – and all our wants and desires, especially in relation to others – and the drama that entails. Whether we are dealing with career, home or kids, looks or lifestyle or hours on the cushion, certain things may seem rock solid when seeking stability such as money, bricks and mortar, but how wisely we share the parts of life we truly value will also show how much we understand the material world is only relative when it comes to life’s greater prize, that of fulfilling and close, trusted relations.

When all is said and done, it’s the depth and veracity of feelings and thoughts created between and with our most important relationships that echo and enhance our soul’s quest. Such deep emotions also urge one to constantly reform and redefine and reinvent in this fast-moving world. Many of us need also all the help we can get to keep-up with the pace of changes to stay informed, especially when the Full Moon is in transformational Scorpio, fashioning mystery and allure.

Desire Transmutes into the Aspiration to Share ~>

The Moon is in her detriment in the black clawed sign with a scimitar sting. Releasing the old and outworn – even with a tinge of sadness – is almost mandatory, in order to be reborn and step out into the light. Of course, to ride the continual waves that take corkscrew twists and turns, one needs personal stamina and strength, as well as invested input from others.
In actuality our interconnections are also an easy indication of how we are personally vibrating, low or high, at any given moment. If we’re stressed or grumpy, for instance, we rarely meet sunshine and roses. Similarly, when we greet the world with a smile and a positive outlook, our resulting interactions are generally joyful. The good news is that while this intense Full Moon climaxes at 10° Scorpio (rounding up) on Monday 30th April, @00:56 UT (Sunday night 29th in the US), a growing sense of optimism emerges alongside, due mainly to the Moon’s conjunction with the ever-hopeful, always generous Jupiter, giving Scorpio’s born around the 5th-17th November an extra boost of confidence and luck.

Instead of a Full Moon leaving one exhausted by the wayside in its wake, this one may actually energise a few days into the waning part of the Moon cycle, if not physically then certainly philosophically, freeing one up to make some kind of personal revamp by May 5th. Although the planets advise that we watch expectations with the risk-taking but retrograde Jupiter (until 11th July) going over old but shared ground. Be aware that because the Lights also aspect Neptune (with fixed star ‘Aschenar’), certain dreams can currently dissipate as quickly as they arrive (Early March babies could resonate with bubbles that captivate before bursting, only for another seductive bubble to come along and hook, charm and pop (all of which is part of the grand celestial plan to connect one to God, Goddess, and all that is.)).

In the run-up to this lunation’s culmination, both Sun and Moon also form helpful aspects to pragmatic Saturn, making the tangible seemingly more viable. Although, Saturn is currently retrograde and conjunct Fixed Star, Facies: one needs to fix sight upon the target, to harness the power of the moment to focus and concentrate upon exactly what it is that we wish to commit to, recognising that long-term projects started now may take until December to complete.

Fixation – Fixity – Fix – Fixed

Indeed there is a great deal of ‘fixed-ness’ in this Full Moon chart, where ‘The Lights’, Sun and Moon, already in Fixed signs Taurus and Scorpio, form a tight square to the shadowy Moon’s Nodes, which are currently in fellow fixed signs, Leo and Aquarius. Constellating all soul’s elements, a ‘Cross’ formation has four celestial markers, ninety degrees apart to form a large square that dominates the chart; and this particular case it also means the Lights are coming to perfect a position known as being ‘at the bends’, i.e. when a planet squares the karmically connected alignment of the Lunar Nodes, North and South (Dragon’s head and Dragon’s tail, the unseen portals Rahu and Ketu respectively). In this configuration, learning from past collective issues is crucial to remaining true to one’s ethics and principles.

When ‘The Lights’ are at fixed ‘The Bends’ we reach a crossroad: decisions are to be made – with this particular ‘Fixed’ crossing representing the sacrifices we make in order to create a better world for others (with our creative input essential).  Admittedly it’s not the easiest of celestial formations, as it also implies that in order to move on one needs to have an element of spiritual intuition, if only for a fleeting instant, but have it we must, if we are to evolve harmonious karma.  Its like we have to have a place to be fixed from, in order to next move .

In esoteric astrology it is the ‘Fixed Cross’ only (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) that can directly transmit the ‘energies’ of the other planets in the solar system. Thus is might be take a leaf out of Jupiter’s sacred book: be hopeful about all the positive aspects the Sun and Moon make to expansive Jupiter, responsible Saturn and compassionate Neptune, that they can and will enhance humanity’s spiritual awareness, as well as one’s personal commitment to remain facing the light, in the light, as the light, expressly at shadowy moments when desire nature is seriously tested.

…“Desire creates tremendous energy -
It is precisely because our present life is so inseparably linked with desire that we must make use of desire’s tremendous energy if we wish to transform our life into something transcendental.” ~  Lama Thubten Yeshe

A Fixed Cross stimulates the heart of the life-giving Sun; in desirous and sensuous Taurus it accents the human soul’s connection to Earth, to the body and the divine ego. To treat one’s body as a temple, even when the Moon is in detriment in Scorpio, is a means to activate intuition and the awareness of self in relation to others.

The Fixed Cross concentrates the individual focus to elevate self-consciousness (Leo), to that of becoming a world server (Aquarius). In other words, Taurean desire transmutes into Scorpio’s aspiration to share; while Leo selfishness converts into Aquarian selflessness.
I realise such lofty ideals could be considered challenging at a time when it might seem its’ just lil’ ol’ you, as an individual spiritual warrior who intentionally raises the cosmic love vibration; but each and every act of kindness counts towards a collective critical mass. It’s helpful to recognise and acknowledge that a friendly Ketu, the Aquarian South Node is presently at work, suggesting we recall major historical periods when the human race was socially minded and visionary, caring and creating workable systems for education, welfare and interconnection – because this is where we are currently and collectively ‘coming from’: i.e. just as fascism and totalitarianism are in our history, so too is philanthropic, consciousness raising, group consciousness. Mark ‘Winter Solstice 2020’ onto your calendar: human goodness is destined to become fashionable again for a more global show of Aquarian altruism.

Just how we are going to fulfil our destiny today, however, is by taking care of one self (and each other). Also in this Fixed Cross formation is the Earth Mother, Ceres. Though Ceres was only promoted to a dwarf planet in 2006, many astrologers have been working with ‘asteroids’ (her previous incarnation) for decades, balancing the feminine with the masculine in the horoscope. Ceres is the largest of the asteroids, also called Demeter, and is probably the most complex as her charge is about growing – and grieving. Interestingly, the Earth Mother Ceres has been with the current North Node since this January’s Blue Blood lunar Eclipse, accenting a fair few months of tending and nurturing, all of which is again coming to a head. Be it the land, children, or even our own selves, pet projects or wounds, Ceres is now calling, together with Lion-Dragon’s Head, telling us there’s a time and a place for everything, with changes from winter to summer or vice versa, from new shoots to full bloom, from falling leaves to rest before rejuvenation – and that we are presently at that point when the Cosmic Wheel turns at the Fixed Cross Solar Fire Festival.

Ultimately, NOW is the time to invest in self-care and bravely hold up Moon’s mirror and honestly love what we see: not in a destructive, narcissistic, greedy or self-cherishing, grasping kind of way, but gently, with self-acceptance, self-love, and a powerful self-esteem that eliminates self-deception to clarify the heartmind. Then the individual’s soul can freely merge into a humanitarian collective awareness with ease and confidence and the will-to-good.

With that I wish you all a very happy Pink Scorpio Moon!

18°53′ Full Moon in Sagittarius
9th June @13:09UT, 2017

Functioning as our emotional radar, the June Full Moon, a.k.a. the ‘Bright Love Moon’ or ‘Honey Moon’, is an intuitive Full Moon that heightens senses and accents a dynamic and passionate heart. What naturally comes into focus during this three-night Full Moon could easily stimulate thoughts and feelings which ultimately appertain to brighter prospects in all relationships, with partners and lovers, brothers, sisters and authority, nature and humanity.

🔯 Dominating in varying degrees of intensity over the course over this Full Moon is a beautifully auspicious 6-pointed Yang Star formation, involving elements Air and Fire, interlocking with a ‘Grand Air Trine’ and the Fire Bird year’s ‘Grand Fire Trine’. Triangles in the horoscope, as regular readers will know, demand personal interaction to get the most out of any cosmic brilliance on offer. This double tetrahedron shining Yang-Star proposes a unifying and spiritually enhancing Full Moon; one that has the potential to educates us all to think creatively and help overcome concerns about taking risks that appertain to spiritual growth and understanding.

🔯 There is a celestial catch to easily tuning into a 6-pointed Star ascension, with potentially twinkling chakras sparkling the radiant clear ascension of Shakti-power, as La Luna conjoins Saturn, Karmic Taskmaster extraordinaire to reveal deeply ingrained limitations. Emotional and personal, perceived or real, obstacles seem to come with a long history, or may not even originate entirely from recent actions, originating instead from a past (life) source.
Together Moon and Saturn present an immediately felt reality; however hard truth may be to digest, wisdom is often only gained through challenging circumstance and facing fears head-on. And therein is the major focus of this Full Moon report, because it’s a changeable and fiery Full Moon in zealous Sagittarius, conjunct the Time Lord Saturn (only recently emerged from a tussle with an out-of-bounds, reckless upstart, Mars).

The Moon and Saturn jointly become the tail of our high-flying Fire-Air Yang-Star, also in Kite formation; as the Air Element fans the winds to ignite the flames of passion, reminding us how together we can fly our dreams to form a starry, heart-centred future. Though, because it’s Saturn on our tail, those with less conviction, blinded by dangerous propaganda could be cowed by fear or doubt. Successful outcomes depend upon the amount of personal concern one invests in looking forward with optimism, embracing new skills to stretch the mind – and the imagination.

Individual responsibility – even about collective issues – always takes on a deeply karmic resonance whenever the Moon is with fatalistic Saturn. While this combo sounds like heavy weather – especially on a karma multiplied day, as Saturn concentrates the receptive (public) responsibility and sympathy of the Moon; it can seem stormy and depressing to some. But this is also a planetary pattern that indicates how we have reached an information/knowledge threshold. From this crossing point we can pass into a world of greater illumination – on SakaDawa - and implement into everyday life a practical kind of wisdom. To reinterate: as long as one is personally prepared to work with and see each other as brothers and sisters on planet Earth, no matter what creed, colour or sex, then being in diverse communities with those from different cultures and beliefs, and with tolerance of ‘the other’, we are more easily able to maintain the open heartmind – which is essential to embrace the evolutionary sacred space of the 6-pointed star.

Though it has to be said that the Moon and Saturn combination, in its more workaday sense, can solidify and give form; but again, only with greater effect with personal involvement. Check 17-27 degrees Sagittarius in your own chart to see where Saturn and the Moon illuminate real and concrete issues, so that you/we really know what we are up against. Remember patience is called for. Sometimes pain, problems, uphill struggles can appear so daunting they seem insurmountable. But don’t worry: this is a mutable Full Moon that determines change is our only constant – and timing is, of course, key to understanding change – and karma – which is where astrology excels.

Being the Lord of Karma, Saturn, is often depicted as an old man with a long grey beard, holding a scythe, indicating the cutting down of what was once flourishing. In the reaping, lines get drawn in the earth (could we see more interesting crop circles?!), while boundary-defining Saturn emphasizes the working aspects of farms, finances, public buildings, governments, and the elderly. And with the Moon, Saturn also highlights personal wisdom through harmonising (feminine) experience; in Sagittarius there is also philosophy, academia, in-laws and order to consider.

Rather telling about this Full Moon is how the Gemini Sun is joined by a planetoid, Ceres: the Great Earth Mother. So on one side of the zodiac we see the karmic (Grim) reaper shining with the emotive Moon; and on the other, Mother Goddess of grain, growth and grieving, under the hot Sun’s beams.
Sun’s Gemini Twins and Ceres are also conjunct a Fixed Star, ‘Rigel’, which is a wonderfully bright star that accents wealth through knowledge and education. Rigel marks the Hunter Orion’s left foot that touches Eridanus, the ‘River of Life’ (and the path of the Sun’s passage across the ecliptic); and is a star that denotes being in the flow, nourished by water’s wealth and riches. Mythology tells of the Hunter, in killing all Earths’ beasts he oversteps the mark; and how the Great Goddess sent a scorpion to fatally sting Orion to stop him. Not being cautious, or going ahead while weak, is an important message to take on board, especially for battered cowboys that ride the edge of town looking to party.

While Sun and Ceres do not contact Scorpio in this Full Moon horoscope, Sun does form a quincunx (the 150° awkwardly adjusting push-me-pull-you aspect), to Pluto, Scorpio’s ruler currently in Capricorn (and yet to have third Jupiter-Pluto Square August 4th); all the while Moon throws a connecting semi-sextile that links the wilds of Sagittarius to conservative Capricorn (which rules Saturn); there’s a minor temptation to thrive on the psychological-tensions that surround the never-ending cycle life-death and rebirth.
Synthesising all this suggests we need to inform and educate, and create healthy limits around negative influences that pollute the mind. Rigel’s position also gives a love of action and great success when we learn our lessons: to be life-supporting by nurturing mind, body and soul, to be life-sustaining, not life-defeating. This then, is a Full Moon to really take on board karmic Saturn’s maxim ‘As you sow, so shall you reap’.

Though a mercurial Gemini Sun is generally restless and moves in double-quick time (and along with it the pace of brotherly love, as well as gossip, global news and information), Luna next to Saturn urges us to disseminate slowly, taking time to look with a longer-view at what is already growing, as well as that which can be grown. Be aware how rushing headlong over hurdles could only slow one down this June 8-9-10th. To avoid depleting nerves – and develop resilience – best be comfortable while assessing complications or hindrances; travelling for work could also be slow.

Another astrologically major factor to consider when observing this visionary Full Moon conjunct a retrograde Saturn, is that they are both bang-on the Galactic Centre, accenting the gravity of a massive black hole around which our entire galaxy spins. The Sagittarian Archer’s arrow now points towards a very specific galactic opening. A Centaur tends to THINK BIG at the best of times; and performing actions for the greater good of the whole could open doors and create opportunities that help stay on course when holding the light, and could possibly even explain phobias of being mysteriously pulled into the unknown.
Ultimately, the planets in mutable signs, Gemini & Sagittarius, are also in a tight T-Square to illusive Neptune/Chiron in Pisces, teaching that nothing lasts forever and everything is subject to change. So while the Sun is in Gemini we may want to seek out myriad distractions that promise, albeit temporarily alleviation from tacking whatever is it that bugs or prevents from accomplishing ambitions, even going so deep to admit that any impediment could well be linked to the shallowness of our understanding.

Maturity is required to move ahead freely into the spaces in between (thoughts, places, people) that which you think hold you back. Luckily both ‘Lights’, Sun & Moon (and therefore Earth Goddess and Grim Reaper) are also in the good, triangle aspect with expansive, freedom-loving Jupiter. Jupiter is also extremely potent right now (activating Libra & Aries and situations from April, when Venus retrograde the opposite degree) . After four and half months of retrograde motion, Jupiter is at station to go forward at 13° in relationship-orientated, peace-loving Libra on the third night of the Full Moon. Lawful contracts can be signed, finances balanced, fashion shows and partnership issues harmonised.

🔯 Lastly, this is also a ‘Mini Moon’ in as much as it will look much smaller than usual, but it still holds potent qualities to impart creativity and idealism. As both the virile Sun and confident Jupiter will be in applying (strong) mode to the destiny-fulfilling Aquarian South Node, invigorating the intellectual Grand Air Trine for a week, we become innately aware of the need for balance and clarity in all social dealings. So that when the unifying Grand Air Trine fuses with the spiritually enhancing Grand Fire Trine, between Saturn, Uranus and the North Node, we can learn to glow from the inside out (see Full Moon reports for April & May for details). Within the natural warmth that arises when Air and Fire mingle, all our relationships can become mutually meaningful.
