☼ “Dön Season” ~> before Losar & the New Year of the Green Yin Wood Goat

No sooner has informative Mercury gone direct (today at 1 degree Aquarius), the Last Quarter Tara Moon of the Wood Horse Year signals we are well and truly into a critical period of the Tibetan calendar called “Dön Season”, which has been described as being ‘like Mercury retrograde on steroids’, as the karma of the last year now accumulates to potentially manifest as sticky issues that can create obstacles, problems and disharmony. 

Dön is the name given to the end-of-years’ amassed energy patterns, particularly the negative ones which whip-up destructive thinking to provoke difficult interactions and arguments that, if we don’t clarify with mindfulness, can even lead to emotional obsessions, or psychic or physical sickness. Thus, it is now super important that over the next few days we clear the air and make space, at home, at work, in relationship, and on the meditation cushion, in order to awaken Spirit and transform the mind. Detox inner planes as well as outer worlds now, and let-go of the old and outmoded and, by being open-minded and aware, prepare for New Year of the Green Yin Wood Goat on the 18th–19th February, a year that offers an exhilarating kind of joy, with the potential for great peace.   

During these next few days of the “Dön Season” just before Losar, Tibetan New Year, we call upon our protectors, connect to sangha, and loved ones who give love and support. It may also be a cosmic co-incidence that Valentine's Day is also Dakini Day, but when the Goddess highlights Love, she does so this year with the radiant LoveLight which emanates straight from the Galactic heart.

△ Grand Air Trine △ Guru Rinpoche day _/\_ Jan'15

☽☆☾ This lunar cycle’s 'Guru Rinpoche' day, when we give thanks and honour our guides, teachers and, in the Tibetan Buddhist’s tradition, our Lama, has a seriously intellectual quality about it, with reason and love triumphant when embracing unity, bliss and emptiness. This is because a triangle formation between the Aquarian Sun, the growing Gemini Moon, and the Moon’s North Node in Libra, now emphasises the highest functions of the heart mind.
 

 △ With a 'Grand Air Trine' the ability to find common bonds through ideas and friendship can create unity that helps to overcome the dualism separating us from the cosmic Oneness, which has our best interests at heart. Indeed, this kind of magical spacy cohesion helps to appreciate how the teacher works in mysterious ways. Please note that a teacher can be within, someone you met, or from books or videos, even.
 

△ And though we are all born with an inherent inner wisdom, none of us is perfect. In Buddhist philosophy we are all each others’ teachers, in one form or another. So it is during this glorious Gibbous Moon phase, before the upcoming glorious full Moon, where we celebrate the sacred connections that help us to breathe easy and remove karmic obscuration.

☽ ♌ With only two days until the Full Miracle Moon, the Moon is still in Leo, accumulating the light that shines from within, so that each individual self-illuminates to pacify negative thoughts, traits, or actions, with the antidotes of loving kindness, forgiveness and compassion.

☉ ♒ ☼ Imbolc ~ & Mercury Retrograde ♓ ☿ ♆ ☽

Feb 1st ~> Astro-Flash! We are now midway between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Winter is almost over. And planet Mercury is currently applying to a Mercury Retrograde phase, which is just around the celestial corner on Feb 6th! Mercury is currently in dreamy, oceanic Pisces – today with Neptune/Chiron AND the Moon, highlighting each individual’s spiritual connection to holistic healing ~> _/♥\_ ♓ ☿ ♆ ☽

During its retrograde Mercury will swish the fish, about turn and high-tail all the way back to 18Aquarius, to re-join and/or re-organise one’s position, as well as reignite hopes and re-consider wishes. At its best, Mercury in this situation awakens altruistic intention to generate Bodhicitta and relieve both collective and individual suffering; at its worst, Mercury caught retrograding between these signs can succumb to feelings of confusion, nihilistic hopelessness and victimisation, prone to baffling mysticism, spouting dictatorial intellectual nonsense.

The key to clarity during this period is to utilise the combined Pisces-Aquarius ability to visualise a positive view, through meditation and cooperation, and welcome flashes of insight and innovation. Mentally prepare to re-work, re-do and rethink outside the box, and find exciting alternatives for certain projects, ideas or plans, especially those pertaining to team-work and avoid being any kind of fall guy when dealing with professionals. When ‘The Lights’ are in this decidedly ‘fixed’ combination for a Medicine Buddha - Tara Puja Moon, we can hold the healing on course; improving at the same time as going deeper into the currently profound (psychic) transformation, the Aquarian influence awakens one to the often quirky alternative. Now is therefore the time to welcome any flashes of inspiration: new connections, new ideas, and new groups of people who can energise the soul, giving a feeling of cooperation that raises awareness, as well as the all-important altruistic intention.

Also, good news today, as Mercury, planet of information and communication is going forward to day (hooray!). All kinds of shared issues and agreements now get the go-ahead. This has been quite a difficult retrograde, teaching patience as well as enhancing insight, as all kinds of secrets, desires, and power games came to light. Lammas Full Moon in Aquarius ~ August 2012

A fantastic Lammas full Moon is on the rise to be exact Wednesday night/Thursday morning, 4:27 British Summer Time, at 10 Degrees of Leo and Aquarius, when the light of a confident and radiant Leo Sun is brilliantly reflected by the group-orientated Aquarius Moon.

This dynamic, fun, and positively glorious celestial connection awakens a generous heart and altruistic intention in a lightening fla sh. Those with Leo and Aquarius planets prominent in the horoscope may be more aware than most how each and every one of us plays a unique and integral part in the continually evolving whole. But all of us could find a comfortable and favourable place within one’s circle of friends that enables connections to kindred spirits to thrive as well as nurture.

Love Heals ♥ ~> Last Quarter ♥ Valentine ♥ Scorpio Moon ♥

A Last Quarter Valentine Scorpio Moon on Tuesday ♥ Feb 14^th has the power to help to overcome obstacles and heal the heart and Spirit of all kinds of relationships, be that with yourself, your family, your friends, colleagues or co-workers, as well as the treasured Valentine heart.

With Spirit Sun in eccentric Aquarius, in a closing square to the extremely perceptive Scorpio Moon, the lights accent the profoundly therapeutic qualities of Medicine Buddha as well as Goddess Tara’s enlightened activity. Both signs, Aquarius & Scorpio, are fixed and fearless. So we say goodbye to the Rabbit Year, and before the New Water Dragon begins this Mysterious Scorpio Moon could takes us into very dark spaces and places, just as the non-conformist Aquarius Sun provides a fluorescent electric zapper that twinkles and illuminates, especially tantalising within the hypnotic shadows. In short, now is the time to liberate the psyche, and shine laser-light insight into the depths of the receptive soul, to access an assess previously ignored or hidden situations or circumstance (within, as in one’s own intuitive action, speech, or intent; as well as without, as in inter-personal and/or intimate relationship).

Throughout this global day of Medicine Buddha Insightful Goddess Love, our aspirations can be like a humanitarian Water Bearer, firmly holding an altruistic wish for all to be in their flow; at the same time our sensitive Scorpio Moon develops inner-resources that enable us to release negativity into the void, to be at once transformed and purified. During any crisis of conscience, be aware that clarity and wisdom work together at this point in time in a state of highly creative tension, dancing between crazy inspiration and total obsession - an extraordinary dynamic that can nourish and feed personal relations as well as the global family. Every Full Moon is special. As the emotional Moon reflects the light of the Sun, together they illuminate with lucid clarity. Yet each moon is different as Sun and Moon course through the zodiac, moving signs, connecting to other wandering planets to make each moment in time distinctly unique. Some Moons are more unique than others. And this one accents highly positive cosmic connections, the likes of which I never seen before, because they herald from way beyond our solar system; so while you are moon bathing under tonight’s full moon, take a moment to absorb some of this Full Moon in freedom-loving Aquarius’ more spacey qualities. 

At 2:37am BST the Moon will be at 3 degrees of friendly Aquarius, opposite the bright Leo Sun. Leo represents our generous spirit - the perfection of the heart essence, while group-orientated Aquarius signifies the altruistic mind, as well as social networking and technology. The axis where these two signs align across an individual’s horoscope indicate the ways head and heart align to bring about love and romance, networking friendships and helpful alliances.

Incredibly, the Full Moon in Aquarius (on Monday 26th @ 2:27 British summer time) is actually on the very same degree from whence in the heavens the largest ever burst of gamma rays originated, arriving on planet Earth on this Summer Solstice, even knocking out Nasa’s telescope. Could this very high frequency resonance be some kind of cosmic nuclear pulsation that helps to elevate consciousness and irradiate collective density?

Doubly amazing, this week saw another Leo Sun – Moon in space-age Aquarius synchronicity, as a massive Sun beaming 300 times more light than ours was discovered along the same marker of the ecliptic (the path of the Sun) as this Full Moon. It’s an extraordinary coincidence how these two remarkable events should share the same degrees as the Full Moon; as in mundane astrology the Moon represents the people, and in hopeful Aquarius it indicates we can now embrace the future in the selfless spirit of heart felt co-operation, to co-create our global humanity where all beings can find happiness.

Since the advent of a massively rare configuration of planets lined up this year as the ‘Cardinal Cross of the Spiritual Sun’, we’ve had encouragement from the cosmos to confirm (and assist) our spiritual evolution;  this full moon links up rather nicely with the 'T square' made by Saturn, Uranus/Jupiter and Pluto in the Cardinal Cross, assisting in making postitive lasting changes. So the question remains: are we ready to raise our vibration and generate a magnanimous loving heart? Because the Universe seems to signal that we are.
