✧ Today’s Medicine Buddha Day brims with added planetary medicine, with no less than four heavenly bodies in remedial Virgo. Love Goddess Venus, is now conjunct Hygea, the asteroid specific to healing and restoration, next to expansive, lucky Jupiter, and dynamic Mars. All four are currently concentrated within a very tight five degree area in the sky, from 10-15 degrees in the sign of the Virgin, the sign of perfection and practicality.
✧ Planets and significant points of the horoscope in this sign reveal how to look after self and serve others as best one can for the benefit of all beings. ☸ During the holy month of SakaDawa, honouring Buddha's birth, enlightenment and paranirvana, according to one of the Tibetan calendars (there are several), this lunation's Medicine Buddha Moon is when Buddha Shakyamuni was born. 

☼⚥☾Associated with health and wellbeing, today’s First Quarter Medicine Moon in Virgo has a magnified healing quality encouraging heart-mind, body and soul to be nourished with positive routine, healthy thoughts and diet, enough sleep and dutiful service: these are ordinary ways to find beauty therapy, love medicine, and joyful remedy.

Medicine Buddha for all those affected by the 7.9 Earthquake in Nepal ॐ_/♥\_ॐ_/♥\_ॐ_/♥\_

Due to several dramatic events this week, the volcano in Chile, and two quakes, in New Zealand and Nepal, I’ve been asked as to why now, seeing as we are not in the usual time-frame of eclipse season? Firstly, the Sun has been fairly active mid-week (and we on Earth tend to lag a few days behind solar activity's effects); and though not so large, solar flares have been medium sized but rather long lasting, releasing vast and unstable electromagnetic plumes from a northerly direction (entering into Earth’s crown chakra, Tibet/Nepal, and more lightly through southerly base chakra, NZ).

Earth is also crossing a point in the sky called the ‘heliospheric current sheet’; this is when planet Earth experiences Sun’s magnetic polarity changing from north to south. This is a time of planetary adjustment (which can wreak seemingly widespread damage, espcially if other planetary configurations interact, such as now).These are not the only astrological/astronomical markers: Also significant is the conjunction of quicksilver Mercury and fiery Mars, both in earthy Taurus (on the exact point of their own nodes (yes, each planet also has its' own nodal/eclipse cycle)); In square to Jupiter, the planet of expansion in Leo, this combination of Jupiter, Mars & Mercury means dramatic shake-ups are fast and furious. With the Sun also in Taurus and the Moon now uniting in generous Leo with the cosmic Guru, Jupiter, this fixed and extremely determined combination of ‘The Lights’ accents the value of the creative tension, the divine spark inherent in all beings, as well as the ability to quickly heal, with focus and care.

It’s also a medicine Buddha - Tara Moon day (depending upon which tradition is followed), the first quarter moon, a time of crisis in action, when the healing emphasis is upon stabilising one self (the earth and others) by connecting to the natural world, and seeing artistic and cultural value, as well as surrounding precious resources.

✶ Jupiter Trine Uranus ~> Sept 2nd ❤ A visionary healing Buddha Moon

September 2nd ~> _/\_ Today’s Medicine Buddha sees the Last Quarter Moon in forward-thinking Sagittarius, squaring up to Spirit Sun in earthy, healing Virgo. This mutable combination of Lights indicates change through helpful action; as the Divine Virgo Goddess is in service with the generous Centaur Sage, a myriad of practical (but possibly unfamiliar) solutions are available right now; whatever the issue, be it mental, physical or spiritual, the Moon in Sagittarius challenges one to open the mind and see the bigger, more magical picture at play. This fiery Sagittarian Medicine Buddha Moon also connects to an extremely promising astral aspect shaping up in the heavens between optimistic Jupiter (the Sagittarian Centaur’s ruler) in sunny confident Leo, and radical Uranus, rousing action-orientated Aries: Together, these three now illuminate an inspiring ‘Grand Fire Trine’. First quarter Medicine Buddha/Tara Moon in Libra: Now is the time to listen to the heart and find happiness and harmony within the core of the family – be it global family or kith and friendly kindred spirits – and prepare for the Full SuperMoon in a week's time, July 12th, when there’s a sense of destiny at work within certain, loving relationships. _/♥\_
 

This particular Moon cycle also carries the dynamic ‘Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun’, activating deeply felt spiritual awareness in relation to one’s individual souls' journey; and how we connect with others makes all the difference to our own wellbeing. On Sunday, on his 79th birthday, His Holiness Dalai Lama is preparing the Mandala for World Peace, the Kalachakra Mandala.

Kala means time and Chakra means wheel. Kalachakra is the most complex mandala representing the cosmos as a whole. Yours truly has had the supreme good fortune (when good karma ripened ) to have done this with him twice before (and also 2x with other masters), and I know how concentrated one must be in order to follow the whole 11-day process from start to finish (when sand mandala is erased and offered to water). In this photo HH is laying the first line in the Eastern Gate of the Great Bliss Mind Mandala.
