For the final First Quarter Medicine Buddha Moon of the Horse year, tonight’s exalted Moon in Taurus holds a powerful healing. The combination of Fixed air and earth swiftly connects to the very core of ailments and problems, so they can be managed with love and patience. Even if making sudden, quick change there’s a sense of stability and perseverance that gives value to certain actions which point to cures and remedies.
This year of the Yang Wood Horse has shown us how to be victorious by moving like a lotus rising up and out of the muddy pond, and into spaces that opened-up to light-filled opportunity through our own drive and sense of purpose. And as the Horse year comes to an end, not to be seen again for 60 years, there's bound to even greater development in this increasingly spacy and computerized world the next time this powerful Horse comes around.

First quarter Medicine Buddha/Tara Moon in Libra: Now is the time to listen to the heart and find happiness and harmony within the core of the family – be it global family or kith and friendly kindred spirits – and prepare for the Full SuperMoon in a week's time, July 12th, when there’s a sense of destiny at work within certain, loving relationships. _/♥\_
 

This particular Moon cycle also carries the dynamic ‘Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun’, activating deeply felt spiritual awareness in relation to one’s individual souls' journey; and how we connect with others makes all the difference to our own wellbeing. On Sunday, on his 79th birthday, His Holiness Dalai Lama is preparing the Mandala for World Peace, the Kalachakra Mandala.

Kala means time and Chakra means wheel. Kalachakra is the most complex mandala representing the cosmos as a whole. Yours truly has had the supreme good fortune (when good karma ripened ) to have done this with him twice before (and also 2x with other masters), and I know how concentrated one must be in order to follow the whole 11-day process from start to finish (when sand mandala is erased and offered to water). In this photo HH is laying the first line in the Eastern Gate of the Great Bliss Mind Mandala.

☼ Sun in Aries opposite Mars in Libra _/♥\_ April 7~8th~9th

Involving Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, the complex Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun continues to come to perfection (April 20th) to raise individual and collective consciousness. And only a week away (15th) is a lunar eclipse that heightens the intensity of current celestial dynamism.

The illuminating Sun conjunct radical Uranus in Aries still encourages a sudden awakening to our true Buddha nature: that all is beauty, goodness and love. Even so this combination of planets can also mirror dramatic shifts and change and a disruption of regular flow, in whichever direction. Mindfulness and meditation will soothe frayed nerves, especially while the exalted Aries Sun is being opposed by Aries ruler, dynamic Mars. Mars is retrograde during this opposition (exact April 8th 21:03gmt), raising heat and passion, and also making these optimum nights for seeing the scarlet planet high in the midnight sky.

All this is happening at the same time as the First Quarter Goddess Tara Medicine Buddha Moon in nurturing Cancer. The astral healing focus is upon feeding the soul, finding a balance and actively stabilising energy levels - physical, mental and emotional, as key to pacifying the heart-mind and body during profound moments (of awareness of self in relation to others). Though Mars is in fall in Libra; the Peace Warrior suggests we also raise the all-important cosmic love vibration, which revitalises relationships. Check Mars and the Sun (and other Cardinal signs) in your charts at 18/19 degrees Aries, see if too much stimulation makes it difficult to relax (in partnership), or maybe there’s not enough activity to get agreements/projects off the starting block, with obscuration in various energy fields. In which case patience is duly required, until at least the time of the Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun, or when Mars begins to go forward May 20th and knowing what LOVE means makes the heart glow _/♥\_ ☼✶•*♥*•.¸¸✶

Medicine Buddha Moon ~ Tara Puja – Oct 12th _/♥\_

Spirit Sun in harmonious Libra today highlights the dynamic first-quarter Moon in disciplined Capricorn, to balance responsibilities and generate positive, lasting change which benefits all.

This first quarter moon also creates a tight ‘T-square’ to expansive Jupiter’. So when making important decisions and adjustments there’s every reason to remain optimistic; even minor modifications made this weekend (in relationship, at work, and/or at home) can be deeply healing and bear fruit. Note, however, such fruit may take time, organisation and practice to really ripen. This is because Venus, Libra’s ruler and Capricorn’s hierarchical ruler, goes retrograde at the Winter Solstice, when both the illuminating Sun and loving Venus will be in Capricorn. 

Issues close to the heart that need a deep resolution could therefore take up until the Solar year’s turning point, or even until the Candlemas New Moon, when Venus once again goes forward. So now is the time to exercise patience with self and others, especially when dealing with situations that challenge one to stay centred (in radiant natural Buddha nature) _/♥\_

This first quarter Libra Moon with Spirit Sun in Cancer galvanizes caring into social action. A balanced heart-mind makes it easier to find inner-peace, and engage with others in the common ground that encourages constructive dialogue and diplomatic relations, as the usually harmonizing Libra Moon shifts from opposing radical Uranus (now at station, and about to go retrograde for the next five months) to being with a perceptive Saturn tonight. Uranus tends to stir up emotions, thoughts, groups of people. In an ideal world such shake-ups urge us towards awakening, but the untrained mind often falters in chaos. And as everything changes, in the tension and edginess we can become restless enough to seek alternatives that help ourselves to help others and generate durable healing. Healing power of Nature - Sun in Taurus ✿ Moon in Leo

In many parts of the East, Buddha’s conception (or birth) is celebrated today, May 17th, at the first quarter moon, with Sun in earthy Taurus and Moon in fiery Leo. This very fixed and determined combination of ‘The Lights’ accents the value of the creative spark inherent in all beings. It’s also a medicine Buddha - Tara Moon, when the healing emphasis is upon stabilising self by connecting to the natural world.

It’s no coincidence that Buddha achieved enlightenment, taught, and died under a tree. Trees give a feeling of being rooted and supported by Mother Earth, which is helpful in Shamatha, calm abiding meditation, providing constant stability so we can rest evenly and realise the clear light of mind. Trees also purify the air, add oxygen and moisture to the atmosphere, and provide shade and shelter to animals (and meditators). So if you’re feeling slightly shattered in the middle of an eclipse season with no less than four Solar X-flares raising the vibration, as well as the 3rd (of 7) Uranus-Pluto challenge, awakening the collective transformation on May 20th, then go hug a tree and rejuvenate. Better still, meditate under one and discover the immense healing power of nature, and prepare for the illuminating Saga Dawa Full Moon lunar eclipse on the 25th. _/✿\_

Medicine Buddha _/❤\_ Tara Puja day ~> 19th March '13

The first quarter moon emotes in Gemini and squares Spirit Sun in sensitive Pisces, joined by an exalted Venus in Pisces, radiating love and unconditional compassion towards all beings. A first quarter Moon is a time of action, specifically action that helps one to heal and overcome obstacles, such as taming the chattering monkey mind that distracts from emotional intelligence and opening the heart to LOVE WISDOM.

Both the Gemini twins and two Pisces fishes are mutable, accenting the potential for dualism to flow into a dynamic unified harmony. This Gemini Moon also has a powerful Fixed Star as an ally, as it sits next to fixed star Betelgeuse, which shines in the constellation Orion. Betelgeuse reinforces commitment and determination to implement change without complication and brings great success. Meaning that when one is determined to shift mind’s focus from being in a state of confusion or frustration to concentrate upon loving kindness, the planetary energy is NOW right to do so!

19th Jan 2013 ~> This 8th day of our last moon cycle in the Dragon year is a First Quarter Medicine Buddha Tara Moon, considered to have exceptional healing qualities that can quickly help one to overcome obstacles, be the problem physical, psychological or psychic.

This particular first quarter urges the Spiritual Warrior to watch the mind and remain brave and confident when dealing with the root of the three poisons: ignorance, aversion and attachment. Patience and practicality are required with each step upon the path of transformation, to keep body, mind and spirit in balance. Multi-choice developments come soon enough, as the Sun moves into Aquarius this evening, bringing with it the exciting, shiny and new _/❤\_
