☆ With the radiant Sun in altruistic Aquarius, and the responsive Moon in Gemini, the Lights (Sun and Moon) create an altogether enquiring and intellectual combination, encouraging one to tame this monkey mind, and live life by what is best for everyone.
☆ On this first Guru Rinpoche day of the Fire Monkey year, it is also good to know that Guru Rinpoche was a real person – and a Monkey; so we honour the memory of Guru Rinpoche, also called Padmasambhava, the ‘Lotus born’, Tibet’s second Buddha, who subdued negative forces and brought Tantra (from India) to Tibet. This also makes a Monkey year extra special for Guru Rinpoche, a Jewel of a Teacher. Connecting now, with body, speech, and mind, to all our most precious teachers, those living, those passed, and those yet to come, also maintains the thread that holds the treasured wisdom together.
☆ As the Moon grows in light, Chötrul Düchen, the Full Moon Day of Miracles is only a few days away. Note how we also are in a karma multiplied period; goodness applied now could well be quickly rewarded _/♡\_

8:8:8 - 9/8/'8' ~> This lunations' magical Dakini Day coincides
with a numerological star gate: 8 is a number representing ‘Infinity’,
associated with boundless courage, strength and stamina – qualities also
associated the fixed fire sign Leo, as well as the Sacred Feminine.
ॐ_/♥\_
With Spirit Sun in fiery Leo, now joined by active Mars, and this
summer’s beautiful Venus and Jupiter conjunction also accenting the
power of love, the potential to stir the fire within is heightened.
In Tantra, the element of fire is linked to a wisdom that helps one to
realize loving kindness and compassion, as well as fully understand the
meaning of emptiness and bliss.
ॐ_/♥\_
On Sunday Sol also makes a harmonious sextile to the waning Moon in
airy Gemini, connecting to the Goddess (within), to fan the flames of
fire in the belly, stir passion, motivation, and the drive to ignite
(and maintain) a powerful internal enthusiasm which provides personal
self-control and power.
ॐ_/♥\_
Bathe in Sun's rays for a few minutes and quickly energise inner-heat;
or, if that is not possible, imagine the Love-Light and warmth of the
Sun radiating into every cell of your being. Yogis and Yogini use
several breathing meditations that assist kindling inner fire: by
focusing upon the Hara, ((aka the DanTien), three fingers below your
navel), one can touch base with a powerful source of creative energy.
_/\_ Please only use these techniques if you have been taught them by
qualified teachers. smile emoticon
If you’re new to meditation, best focus upon long, calm and deep
breaths and allow the rise and fall of the stomach to energize a natural
feeling of greater potency. Most important is to allow time to perfect
any asana, posture, or technique (which can take years wink emoticon ) heart emoticon
With this Moon in Gemini, the intuitive Goddess helps to now overcome
dualistic thinking about success and/or failure, rather the most
important aspect of her wisdom is to be at one where we are and
encourage playful creativity with a happy heart – in the present, at
same time synthesising resent events and preparing for a glorious Leo
New Moon on the 14th August. _/\_

The major focus of this last (Virgo) lunation (moon cycle) has been
upon profound spiritual healing through forgiveness, and devotion to the
Sacred Wise Woman (a human aspect which lies within us all – as we all
have an intellectually intuitive side to our nature, to some degree or
another). Today’s Last Quarter Moon takes the premise of empathy a step
further, urging one to swiftly act upon
situations that require compassion and kindness. Note how today there
are a myriad of options with the Gemini Moon, enabling one to quickly
overcome obstacles and problems, and tidily tie up loose ends. Though
the sensitive Moon is again in hard aspect to shamanic healer Chiron, it
is by applying Virgo’s practical insight, together with feminine wisdom
(such as that of Goddess Tara), that heightens the chances for
especially efficacious results, particularly for those accidental or
self-inflicted wounds. _/\_

The
healing quality of this first Quarter Moon in Gemini in square to the
Sun in empathetic Pisces centres in the compassionate working of the
heart-mind. How we think and process thoughts and ideas can now bring
about a certain kind of awareness (of self in relation to the whole).
Contributing to the positive quality of ideals, the versatile Gemini
Moon is also supported by the GRAND AIR TRINE today, formed with Mars in
Libra and Mercury in Aquarius (noting that Mercury is Gemini's natural
ruler; and Mars is retrograde, delving into the world of mediation and
peaceful balance). This is not necessarily the most practical of
moments, but one that encourages change to find a peace of mind within,
perhaps even by becoming aware of the suffering of others.
According to Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche "We have to develop tolerance and
patience, not for others' sake, but for our own. The main thing at risk
here is our own peace. We have no greater priority than to preserve our
peace of mind, our joyous, cheerful state of mind."
Air Trines
are also great for socialising and being with companions who stimulate
the intellect – perfect for entertaining on a Saturday night!

The most promising aspect in astrology is the ‘trine’, as 120 degrees
between heavenly bodies brings out cosmic gifts and talents. When this
aspect takes place between the Sun and Moon before Full Moon it
highlights the male, yang attributes; thus Tibetans assign this to the
most precious Guru (within), Guru Rinpoche – honouring that which seeks rational clarity and wisdom and the ultimate realisation of the ‘Rainbow Body’.
Today we not only see this beautiful aspect activate the blessings of
the teacher, as the intellectual and altruistic Aquarian Sun harmonises
with the quick-thinking and versatile Moon in Gemini (made all the more
astute as Mercury, Gemini’s ruler is retrograde); but the two ‘Lights’
are also connecting the Mars in Libra forming a ‘Grand Air Trine’. Air
encourages an interchange of ideas and enjoys companionship. The
position of Mars in this Grand Trine kindles an awareness of the lunar
eclipse April 15, and is ripe for the Spiritual Warrior to harness the
loving qualities of a balanced heart-mind to interact in a positive
manner in all relations, in friendship, and in love.

“Ultimately, the real guru is inside ourselves: We are our own guru, we
are by ourselves. So it’s up to us to walk the path, always. We are
born by ourselves in this body, and we will die by ourselves. There will
be nobody who will take care of us afterwards in the sense like holding
our hands and carrying us. We have to walk the path by ourselves.”

Tara Moon ~ Medicine Buddha puja _/♥\_
The airy quality of tonight's last quarter Gemini Moon, in
T-square to the illuminating Sun and meditative Neptune, supports
mindfulness by working with the breath, as breath is mind’s vehicle to
Spirit. When the chattering monkey mind starts to distract, stability
can be found by concentrating on the beauty of nature, such as a tree,
rock or flower as an object of meditation, thus allowing the unseen
healing field of life-giving consciousness to flow in and around the
(collective) heart-mind. _/✿\_
☼ ☾ Both ‘Lights’, the Earthy
Virgo Sun and curious Gemini Moon, currently share the same ruler:
Mercury, planet of informative healing. Mercury is now exalted in
restorative Virgo, and opposite charitable Neptune, the planets
highlight the need to 'ride the winds' and practice the perfection of
the wisdom mind, showing loving-kindness and compassion to all beings
(including oneself).

Maintaining a quiet mind during this the Dark Moon presents a
challenge, as Moon conjuncts active Mars and policymaker Pallas Athena,
whilst all in communicative Gemini – the same sign as tomorrow’s new
Moon, when our nurturing Moon conjoins Spirit Sun (and expansive
Jupiter) at 16:54 BST (11:54EST).
☆ A multi-dextrous Gemini juggles ideas, fact and figures, as well as conveying information,
goods, and medicine (and therein lays the gift of the celestial
courier). With no less five celestial markers now in Gemini, it suggests
we’re on information overload (but still with an inclination towards
healing); brains could whir trying to understand a planet involved in
seemingly endless chitter-chatter. Yet making sense of the dualistic
world now demands different tactics than ordinary number-crunching
analysis, especially as energy levels tend to be naturally low at dark
Moon. Consider stepping back from the monkey mind to revitalise and
strengthen heart and soul, and potentially provide answers to tricky
questions. These planets in airy Gemini not only emphasise data and
brilliant intelligence, but also the importance of giving the mind
much-needed space, to shape new ideas and grow.
When in the
still silence of space, mind naturally radiates; and it is in this state
that insight naturally arises – which is why watching our breath in
meditation is so helpful for personal decision making, as well as
generating mindfulness towards others, rooted at One with all that we
are.
Also today Neptune, planet of dreams, meditation and
unconditional compassion begins a 5-month retrograde in Pisces; this
extra-long transit teaches universal forgiveness (among other
qualities), internalising kindness and sympathy.
“As you breathe in, cherish yourself.
As you breathe out, cherish all Beings.”

The first quarter moon emotes in Gemini and squares Spirit Sun in
sensitive Pisces, joined by an exalted Venus in Pisces, radiating love
and unconditional compassion towards all beings. A first quarter Moon is
a time of action, specifically action that helps one to heal and
overcome obstacles, such as taming the chattering monkey mind that
distracts from emotional intelligence and opening the heart to LOVE
WISDOM.
Both the Gemini twins
and two Pisces fishes are mutable, accenting the potential for dualism
to flow into a dynamic unified harmony. This Gemini Moon also has a
powerful Fixed Star as an ally, as it sits next to fixed star
Betelgeuse, which shines in the constellation Orion. Betelgeuse
reinforces commitment and determination to implement change without
complication and brings great success. Meaning that when one is
determined to shift mind’s focus from being in a state of confusion or
frustration to concentrate upon loving kindness, the planetary energy is
NOW right to do so!

Most Auspicious Guru Rinpoche Day! _/❤\_
Spirit Sun in humanitarian Aquarius & emotive Moon in communicative
Gemini, who is currently conjunct Jupiter, the zodiac’s cosmic Guru,
making this a very special day to practice dharma, connect to the
(inner) teacher, and give thanks for all the loving kindness and wisdom
shown.
The lights – Sun &
Moon – are in stimulating Air signs today, bringing people together and
at the same time accenting the free-thinking individual heart-mind that
is bursting with fresh new altruism. Giving such uniqueness the space
it requires to grow and blossom within the greater whole celebrates the
kind of integral freedom which liberates the ego; all the while the very
same selflessness unites mind, body and spirit.
When the Moon is with Jupiter in Gemini, it’s a beautiful time for being with kindred spirits, shooting the breeze, and realising just how blessed we are _/❤\_
