❥ Medicine Buddha ~> 16th July ~> Tara Puja _/♥\_

This first quarter Libra Moon with Spirit Sun in Cancer galvanizes caring into social action. A balanced heart-mind makes it easier to find inner-peace, and engage with others in the common ground that encourages constructive dialogue and diplomatic relations, as the usually harmonizing Libra Moon shifts from opposing radical Uranus (now at station, and about to go retrograde for the next five months) to being with a perceptive Saturn tonight. Uranus tends to stir up emotions, thoughts, groups of people. In an ideal world such shake-ups urge us towards awakening, but the untrained mind often falters in chaos. And as everything changes, in the tension and edginess we can become restless enough to seek alternatives that help ourselves to help others and generate durable healing. When the sensitive Moon joins Saturn and the Grand Water Trine this evening, then slowing down and reflecting (upon spacy insight) under the lapis lazuli blue light night sky helps to remain rooted in the flow of this tremendous opportunity to once purify and renew, and realize an ocean of wisdom. _/▼\_

BeLOVEed Bees ~ April 2013

The big news this side of the Atlantic is how we’re celebrating European Union's ban on bee-harming pesticide (for two years, giving the bees a chance to recover and prove the pesticide destroys their colonies). Quite apart from almost 3 million signatures on one petition alone, there are several astrological factors which went in the bees favour, which I thought might be of interest to my fellow sky dancers.

In astrology, Bees are ruled by Jupiter, the benevolent sky god; the expansive King of the Olympians, Jupiter, is currently in hard aspect to Chiron, the wounded healer now in Pisces. The negative expression of the sign of the fish is toxicity, i.e. poisons. Thus now is time to heal all the sky god rules, BIG time, i.e. the Bees have a reprieve.

Interestingly karmic Saturn is presently found close to Spica in the night sky. Spica is a royal star attributed to the wheat sheaf in the hand of the Virgin Goddess. Now Saturn & Spica work together, he the reaper, she the fertile vessel of a ripened harvest. There is currently more than a grain of truth in the old adage "As we sow, so shall we reap..."

Also important to note this ban on the pesticide is happened under the auspice of Sun/Mars in down-to-earth Taurus, opposite karmic Saturn now in plutocratic Scorpio: Authority must see a financial gain, as well as a practical one.

One last observation is how we have Sun, Mars, Venus and the South Node, all in bountiful Taurus; as a lover of the good life, the Bull is the sign of food and flowers, and the gentle reminder of how common sense rules and the good life can be so simply achieved. ~> May all bees be healthy & free to buzz and create the divine nectar, honey.

Moon Spica & Saturn ~> Sept 1st 11

The Moon is with bright star Spica AND Saturn tonight. Cloud cover permitting, we should be able to see all three line up together.  As the wheat sheaf in the constellation of Virgo, Spica star confers honour, fame and bread on the table.  Saturn asks that we take responsibility and make sure that all beings eat as well as we do; while the Moon provides the sensitive caring to do so.

The image is of Diana of Ephesus, whose temple was once considered to be one of the world’s seven wonders.  Her role is the Mother of Earthly abundance – food, drink & joy, and her temple aligned with the rising of Spica.

May all beings everywhere
Plagued by sufferings of body and mind
Obtain an ocean of happiness and joy

By virtue of my merits
May no living creatures suffer,
Commit evil or ever fall ill

May no one be afraid or belittled

With a mind weighed down by depression
May the blind see forms
And the deaf hear sounds

May those whose bodies are worn with toil

Be restored in finding repose
May the naked find clothing
The hungry find food

May the thirsty find water

And delicious drinks
May the poor find wealth
Those weak with sorrow find joy

May the forlorn find hope

Constant happiness and prosperity
May there be timely rains
And bountiful harvests

May all medicines be effective

And wholesome prayers bear fruit
May all who are sick or ill
Quickly be freed from their ailments

Whatever diseases there are in the world
May they never occur again.
May the frightened cease to be afraid
And those bound be freed

May the powerless find power

And may people think of benefitting each other.
