Seasonal Full WESAK BLUE FLOWER MOON May'19

Seasonal Full Wesak BLUE FLOWER MOON
Exact 27°38’ Scorpio @21:11UT 18th May

“May our heart's garden of awakening bloom with hundreds of flowers.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

While last month’s Full Awakening Moon was a Zodiacal Blue Moon, this magical month of May sees a seasonal Blue Flower Moon that marks four Full Moons in one season – in this case Spring/Autumn (depending upon which hemisphere you are in the world) – with the third Moon considered to be ‘Blue’, as it is most unusual to get Four Full Moons in a season, when there are usually three. It’s true, this season does seem remarkably long. With the next Full Moon after this Full Wesak Blue Flower Moon coming just before Summer Solstice, as the last Spring Moon on June 17th, to be known herewith as the ‘Galactic Heart Honey Moon’, when maintaining sweetness and light is seriously advised. Also good to note there isn’t another seasonal Blue Moon until August 22nd 2021. So for those of us who enjoy the windy seasons, either Spring or Autumn, we can now make the most of this illuminating Seasonal Blue Moon that positively whirls with meaning and magic.

What magic? You may wonder, with the realistic Taurus Sun driving the urge to fill days with as much normality as possible: yummy food, nice wine, artistic networking, and cosy loving friendships that you can read bus time-tables with for careful, if slightly obsessive planning on solid ground. But if you stop for a moment and close your eyes and listen carefully you may also hear the stirring of a powerful transformation currently taking place – a transformation of the soul, one that is able to experience the mysteries of life and love and, in the end, reveal the treasure that always emerges from difficult situations. And therein lays the magic: the ability to trust in the dark, to release the negative, and know that good always prevails.

☆ Interestingly, the Sabian symbol for this Scorpio Moon at 27°38’ is ‘The King of the Fairies Approaching his Domain’, indicating our inner-world of emotion over this Full Blue Flower Moon is already deeply connected to our imagination as well as the natural environment – the world in which nature spirits are alive, spritely and welcome. And with Spirit Sun and courier Mercury currently adding speed to romantic notions, plus sensual Love Goddess Venus and alternative Uranus all in Taurus, it is the determined and strong, practical Bull that presently leads us onto these lush fertile planes where fairy dust is generously sprinkled to nourish ideas and for relationships to flourish.

This is not to say that one should rely upon wishful thinking or Leprechaun riding unicorns when longing to fulfil emotional ambitions, or indeed even swing the other way and sceptically sever soul’s lifeline to the natural elements. But to understand there is a happy balance between the rational and intuitive and how there is often more than meets the eye to our desire, activity, or even wisdom, i.e. thoughts have wings, and we can often attract what we are thinking into being purely with single-minded focus. As the sometimes desirous Taurean Sun is conjunct Mercury to become ego’s faster-thinking curator, please be careful in what you wish for or concentrate upon this full Moon. Remember that energy flows directly where attention goes. With the force of our thoughts and feelings tending to be rather precise when the Moon is in Scorpio. Scorpio is the sign that breathes new life and form into the lifeless and formless; the same that cuts, stings and severs with a speedy flash of a scimitar tail. It’s always a time of powerful transformations and extremes whenever the Moon is in Scorpio.

Full Moon Aspects ~>
☆ Luna at culmination of the Flower Moon is also the leading planet in a ‘Fixed Earth’ ‘locomotive’ shaped chart; with the Moon once again in an overall strong and determined position, even though she is considered to be in her fall in deep and watery Scorpio. While Moon is Mother and our emotions and needs, in mundane astrology the Moon is also considered to be the people, i.e. you and me. As such, we currently possess a lot of power – especially now, in relation to the environment, enabling the release of the outworn and outmoded – by recycling, rebirthing and renewing all that we can. As the ‘driver’ of the chart, the financially, sexually and psychologically controlling Scorpio Moon’s helpful aspects to Pluto (ruler of Scorpio) and Saturn, at home in distinguished Capricorn, suggests a lot of might, muscle and sway will rest with those who can stay the course (until December 2020), and are good at keeping certain key cards close to the chest.

☆ Luna’s applying ‘Fire trine’ to Chiron for the third night of the Full Moon, on Sunday the 19th, tells us to keep aims steady and true lest we accidently lose sight or footing.

☆ The Full Moon also forms a quirky but cute bi-quintile (144°) to Mars (Scorpio’s traditional ruler) in his fall, also in water sign, Cancer. Swashbuckling Mars is also now separating from a tough opposition to a retrograde Jupiter dealing with law if not order, in situations where truth is often the first causality in any aggression.

Jupiter is the planet of truth and freedom, however; and can be seen as the Moon culminates on her left hand side, rising with Antares, a red star that indicates luck with honours. Still, the desire to heal wounds which have come about from listening to rumour or stories riddled with untruths is strong and compelling during Jupiter’s retrograde. And that may stir up old resentments. Bear in mind that while Mars is in homey Cancer, retreating to a safe space in order to heal may actually be a sign of strength not defeat. Just try not to sulk if things don’t go the way you want them.

☆ Recapping certain astrological points on ‘rulership’ and ‘fall’: that’s both Moon and Mars in signs they prefer not to operate (Scorpio and Cancer respectively (too deep, too messy – and wet!)), along with Uranus in Taurus, also in ‘Fall’ creating chaos within the ordinary. This band of planets in ‘Fall’ make quite the trio! On the other lucky cosmic hand, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune are all ‘at home’, in signs which they thoroughly thrive. Jupiter in Sagittarius brings hope and faith; while karmic Saturn in Capricorn (conjunct South Node & Pluto) adds experience and authority; and Neptune in Pisces shows compassion – even when plastic bags are found 11 miles down on the sea floor. All-the-while Venus at home in Taurus is gentle and loving.

Venus conjunct Uranus ~>

Knowing others is wisdom. Knowing yourself is enlightenment.
~ Lao Tsu ~

☆ The most exciting aspect of this Full Blue Flower Moon horoscope has to be the conjunction of one planet in fall: Uranus, the Great Awakener, conjunct one planet at home: Venus, the sensual Goddess. This is when Venusian mellowness is challenged into action, because together these two together can generate thrills and spills that shake the house down.

One planet demands liberation and equality at any cost, Uranus; yet Venus is tender wanting to cuddle-up and get warm and snug. It’s a tricky but fascinating Venusian combination that promises new ways of seeing the same old thing – a bit like a having a makeover, either for real with new hairstyles, unique new looks, new home; or even new aspects in relationship that add shared new interests.

It’s also the first time these two have got together in Taurus for over 80 years. The last time Love Goddess Venus and eccentric Uranus conjunct, in March 2018, they did so in Aries, with a last hurrah finding freedom within selfie-obsessed culture. Now in Taurus, Venus’s home sign, stabilising Venus and erratic Uranus display the ‘Freedom-Closeness Dilemma’ in full technicolour view. By suddenly feeling the need to assess all kinds of Taurean values, food, romance, money, assets and stability, any important relationship, bond, team or friendship, is celestially bound to feel the blowing winds of change. Should the force be strong then one could be destabilised, thrown into chaos. Best go lightly with those who display the independent spirit: be open to the new, and most importantly be aware that being unique is also being part of the whole.  Uranus in Taurus teaches the value in our diversity.

The key to getting the most out of this important conjunction, which takes place the same day of the Full Flower Moon, is to not fence-in or curtail those we love. Indeed, if love is at heart we must let others be free; otherwise it is not love, more likely a control or power game. Venus and Uranus together find liberation through love and love through liberation – you simply can’t have one without the other; and ties that manipulate, suffocate, hold back or harm now need to be loosened.

We may also need to alter our means of exchange. Be it kisses or cash, love or money, our collective value system over the next seven years will embrace revolutionary new ideas to generate the stability we seek.

Relationship events around this powerful conjunction could present a dramatic U-turn, however. Bear in mind that because Venus is the ruler of Taurus, experiences around this conjunction with Uranus are setting the stage for the next seven years. For those who resonate deeply with 3-4° Taurus (which are Moon’s degrees of exaltation, btw), there is a freeing-up process that can also bring a change of marital status, with the seven-year-itch coming into play. For instance, those who are single can find themselves looking at new relationship, while those already with a loved-up companion may sense the need to create space and liberty for more thrills and spills in the coming seven years of Uranus in Taurus.

Venus with Uranus in Taurus is radical, inspiring alternatives that can help change habits of a life-time; from diet to lifestyle, by awakening to any self-cherishing, to unburden and unhook from ego’s clinging to desire is true freedom.

With a certain cosmic synchronicity, it’s worth noting how the 18th May is also ‘Culture Freedom Day’. Liberating Uranus is the planet of electricity, computers and invention, while Venus rules art, beauty and culture. The idea is to share without boarders (or pay, it would seem!), as we know the culture (on the internet) works best when free-flowing.

☆ This Full Blue Flower Moon is also called ‘Wesak’ in the Asian World, or ‘Buddha Purnima’ in India, celebrating the birth, enlightenment and passing of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni. This is a significantly symbolic Full Moon in many astrological ways, not only was Taurean Buddha born, enlightened and died under a tree, indicating his connection to Mother Earth; but to have the Moon in Scorpio implies insight, deep analytical understanding, and psychological perception with a psychic reach. During his awakening (indeed, the name ‘Buddha’ means awakened) Buddha also faced his demons. With powerful Scorpio Moon insight he realised the cycle of life and death, and how we are reborn, lifetime after lifetime. Bringing karma into each life, we also saw how we need tools to deal with our various issues; for which he also realised the eightfold path and noble truths. And just as Venus rose as a morning star, Buddha achieved nirvana, i.e. enlightenment – awakened.

Don’t forget how Buddha was a real person who, before he died, lived his life for the benefit of others to also rouse from a life of sleepwalking. We too can awaken like the Buddha (or any other great realised being) during this intense Scorpio Blue Flower Moon, especially with the spectacular Venus-Uranus conjunction awakening to love.

Keep any peace and harmony generated during this weekend by avoiding making a drama out of any crisis – especially commotions that interrupt the old and outworn paradigm ‘business as usual’. For only a very few is there business as usual; and although the powers that be are likely to hold on to what they can, even ‘elites’ are now forced to radically transform shared resources – who knows, some might even pay their tax.

Right now with four planets in Taurus, the sign of the Earth in all her glory, we have a growing collective awareness of our personal impact upon our environment, upon our planet, and how a world polluted means we are pretty mussed-up too. Saturn and Pluto conjunct the South Node suggest it really is time to clean-up our karma. One thing is certain along this journey of life, is how we are here to be the loving and kind humans we naturally are. And that often means tackling the hard stuff head-on, in the nicest possible way, of course.

“No Mud, No Lotus.”~ Tich Nhat Han ~

With another quote from meditation master Tich Nhat Han, a last word about this stunning Blue Flower Moon: in many spiritual traditions a blue flower symbolises rebirth. In Ancient Egypt and Buddhism, a Blue Lotus is one considered to be ‘the perfection of wisdom’, a most auspicious sign emerging as beauty in action, growing tall and strong to rise up through murky mud by always reaching towards the light! And as this full Moon wanes towards a New Moon, June 3rd, we even get a light-hearted boost of optimism from expansive Jupiter to remember our brilliance. We also get a call to shine from destiny’s North Node, now conjunct Mag1 Fixed Star, Sirius – with asteroid Juno; a heavenly combo which suggests a period of being loyal to the wise Goddess (within @13-14-15 Cancer) who reminds how all action and thoughts have a ripple effect – so that sometimes we are surprised at how far the ripples wave outwards. Because the potential for actions, thoughts and ideas have far-reaching implications for the few weeks – as long as the intent is to serve humanity before self, then the portent for long-lasting success is strong.

With that I send best wishes on the Moonbeams for all to go well as we join with the King of the Fairies arriving at his domain during this mega-metamorphic Full Wesak Blue Flower Moon!
Awaken!
Enjoy!

Until next moonth, when we head into the Galactic Heart Honey Moon, with love & light from Astro Dakini – Laura Boomer-Trent

‘Wesak’ ~ ‘Buddha Purnima’ & the Anima Mundi ~> Full Moon 2017

_/\_ Transforming the Life of the World Soul _/\_

Sun in Taurus & Full Moon 20°24 Scorpio @ 22:42BST
At the time of a Fixed cross-quarter Full Moon (i.e. halfway point between an equinox and solstice) Wednesday 10th May, the steady Taurus Sun shines also with a Fixed Star, Botein (meaning back leg), adding a frolic with gusto to the Bull’s usually slow and sturdy gait. While planets wander skies and signs, ‘Fixed Stars’ remain static (to the human eye), bestowing a universal dimension to any horoscope. Fixed Stars broaden the astrological background picture from personal to solar to cosmic, from singular Spirit to a union with the heart of the Divine. Always augmenting the qualities of whichever planet activates the Fixed Star, all sorts of tendencies come into sharper focus – often in an extreme manner, positive or negative, depending upon the intensity of a star’s magnitude and its’ position in the heavens.

It’s interesting to note while the often stubborn stuck-in-the-mud Taurean Sun receives Botein’s playful boot towards earthy abundance and flowery fertility with all the Bull’s material blessings, the highly intuitive, extremely-intense, super sexy Scorpio Moon conjuncts a rare green-star, Zubenelshamali. This is a Fixed Star under which the ancients advised little movement; emphasising instead a careful balancing act, weighing-up the qualities and value of the planet in question, which in this case is the Moon, i.e. what makes us feel secure on an everyday level. Indeed, according to fixed star expert, Robson, when the sensitive Moon transits Zubenelshamali (the northern pan of a set of scales) it’s good to buy cattle but not to navigate. And though this might not stop a desirous Bull from shopping or flirting, it may well bring out another Taurean trait, such as lazy procrastination when not much gets done (and this may be a good thing!).

Therein lies (on the sun lounger) this Full Moon’s polarising factor: Sun is Spirit’s essence – not to be confused with the brash ego authority, as it receives a cosmic light to swing into action; all the while the Scorpio Moon illuminates personal and intimate relationship (sexual as well as financial); and our global families need’s signal a time to count blessings and stocktake assets and chattels (cattle😉 included, food as well as finances and taxes, buildings and intimate affairs) all of which will require a modicum of patient, careful handling in order to tally successfully poised.

The portents are helpful to remain optimistic and open-minded when assessing our resources, especially those we have to share, be it finances or friends, gifts and/or talents. And though still in its’ ‘separating shadow period’ Mercury now going forward to return May 20th, to the very same place as when it when retro, indicates the chances are that rifling through your address book could easily reveal connections and/or reconnections with those who can help you perceive value in life, which then enhances your physical, emotional or spiritual wellbeing.

Evaluation of self in comparison to others, however, is not a helpful hobby and should also come with a warning: do not compare yourself to others! Be aware that no one, anywhere, at any time, will ever do/be/have anything like the same as you. Amazingly, even though we are ‘One under the same Sun’, when it comes to our personalities, paths and relationships, we are all exceptionally different (as indicated by our unique birth chart).

Any appraisal you may now take should also take into account how others also have their own karmic path to walk and talk. And you have yours. It doesn’t matter how much money you have, or how good-looking, rich or privileged xyz is, or the kind of car anyone drives, there will always be someone else smarter, cooler or cuter behind you, and someone else similar in front.

The point about self-worth is to be happy with where, and who you are now. Richness isn’t about material possession or what you have or own. Finding your passion and making it work for you enhances self-worth (which is, of course, where astrology really works as it highlights skill and challenge). It’s also important to recognise that you have within your power, especially with a Scorpio Moon, to change your personal relationship to your own obsessions and envy – and maybe, just maybe, to even rejoice in other people’s success.
Also note how Luna is in her fall in Scorpio. So best avoid making a drama out of any crisis, in relationship, at work, with friends, or at home. Even if you feel like you are going through difficult times of releasing the old and outmoded, be good to yourself and simplify goals (and possibly join that lazy old Bull on the sofa).

In actuality this could be quite an intense Moon, with a couple of very interesting opposing factors to consider:

☩ As well as ‘The Lights’, Sun & Moon, both also making helpful aspects to outer celestial wanderers Chiron, Neptune and Pluto – illuminating collective wounds amid the longing to transform. Couple these astral configurations with the alignment of Sun and Moon, in the latter degrees of Taurus and Scorpio, plus how the nodal axis has shifted backwards into Leo-Aquarius. And iIt means this Full Moon carries with it the transformational qualities of a ‘Grand Fixed Cross’.

So not only is it a ‘cross-quarter’ Full Moon in fixed signs, but the Lights also form an actual ‘Fixed Cross’ formation with the destiny fulfilling Nodes. A ‘Cross’ formation has four celestial markers, ninety degrees apart to form a large square that dominates the chart; and this particular case it also means the Lights are coming to perfect a position known as being ‘at the bends’, i.e. when a planet squares the karmically connected Nodes (Dragon’s head and Dragon’s tail, the unseen portals Rahu and Ketu respectively). In this configuration, learning from past collective issues is crucial to remaining true to one’s ethics and principles.

☩ Carrying a metaphoric cross can obviously stress and crucify the human spirit, which seeks freedom from pain, suffering and sacrifice, free to skip the light fantastic through the noosphere of ideas and concepts, and into the playful sphere of enlightened happiness. Such is the calling of Spirits’ consciousness.

To remain in one’s flow with faith, in trust, untouched by phase or fortune, one needs to relax the heart and mind comfortably. A powerful stimulation from the Fixed Cross can deeply impact upon the heart, however, provoking transformation from within. An emotional heart struggles, as we all do from time to time, to unknot the confusion and chaos of our heart’s desire, our anger or ignorance, which, unless we get a handle on a runaway psyche, habitually haunts our lives; but this often self-imposed psychological torture need not blight us, though it requires practical training to calm the heart and mind, and remain authentic to one’s true nature.

☩ Such discipline and training are the astrological domain of Saturn, always a key player in any Fixed Cross. Saturn’s presence is made all the more significant whenever there are crisis turning points (as in the current association with the nodes). Even a retrograde Saturn can teach one how to be resilient in the face of the torrent of life’s demands – as in that delightful Scorpio meme: what doesn’t do you in makes you stronger. With the Fixed Cross, a healthy soul also develops sunny Leo’s generosity, plus the Aquarian ability to keep an open mind and look on the bright side of life (even if it is a little weird); add the Taurus talent of holding attention, and one’s welfare could soon be secure enough to allow intuition to go beyond superficial instruction. With such consciousness one can also transform selfishness into selflessness.

There are two key ways to harness the transformational quality of a Fixed Cross:

1) ♄ With Saturn in Sagittarius urging us to develop philosophical understanding, the higher mind and ethical wisdom, we can tamp-up personal disciple and self-control by working with our own natal Saturn; and/or empower by tuning into the Phoenix Fire Trine, to which Saturn will be a key player for almost the rest of the year.

2) ♆ Neptune can dissolve the fears Saturn may bring up, and activate from within what is known in esoteric astrology as ‘love-aspiration’, which is the desire for all beings to be well and happy. Once again, you can find support from your own personal Neptune, and if inclined merge with the current passage of oceanic Neptune through magical Pisces, by further developing compassion and loving kindness by bringing the love-aspiration into daily life.

Lastly, this Full Moon is also known as ‘Wesak’ or ‘Buddha Purnima’ across much of the Asian world, a festival celebrating a most famous Taurus, Shakyamuni Buddha, who, in good earthy Taurus style was born under a tree, gained enlightenment under a tree, and even died under one. Just that simple fact alone about the historical man of peace tells us that inner-peace and happiness can all be found in nature! Thus when dealing with issues of shared values and self-worth over this Full Moon, an easy way to begin to cherish all life and raise self-esteem may well be found in the great outdoors, where you can literally transform your soul with a magical Moonbathe, and possibly even make a difference to the world’s soul too, the ‘anima mundi’ – heaven knows Mother Earth also needs to know she is loved too sometimes 😉

✴️️ SakaDawa Full Moon May 21st 2016

Inner truth, outer courage – Inner light, outer brilliance
Full Moon in Sagittarius
May 21st 2016 @ 21:14 UT
Stirring up courage, passion, and ardour, May’s Full Sagittarian truth-seeking Moon is most dynamic and active. And because the Moon is conjunct Mars, 21st-22nd (depending upon time zone), emotions can also be quick to rise – even though Mars is retrograde and slow (i.e. closest to the Earth, in a phase called ‘Mars Max’*). Therein lies the key; if/when dealing with destructive emotions such as anger or frustration, or when moving too fast, slow down, breathe deep; energy levels may be low (or easily drained: Mars rules the adrenal ‘fight or flight’ glands) and reactions may be awkward. So take time if making major decisions (such as buying property) and practice patience, because ‘more haste is less speed’. Or as one of my spiritual teachers says “speed is aggression”.

The Moon not only joins feisty, freedom-loving Mars during this philosophically inclined Sagittarian Moon, but on the last of the three Full Moon nights (23rd), Luna then conjuncts weighty Saturn, bringing reality to the fore. There are many astrological significators which indicate sensitivity is seriously heightened during this particular Full Moon, with excitement quickly followed by karmic payback (good or bad). Events/situations/plans that possibly link as far back as August, and/or November 2015, could even come home to roost for a final time. Yet still, due to Mercury also going forward within a day of the exact Full Moon (@21:13UT), the heart mind has the potential to realise the value of living a good and healthy life, where needs are met in an uncomplicated manner.

Be that as it may, the Moon, and all she symbolises (empathy, the feminine, water, the people, etc.) could feel besieged by seemingly forceful influences. This Full Moon illuminates soul’s longing for a greater understanding of life’s more abstract concepts, and is actually a good time to consider the long-term: because warrior Mars and no-nonsense Saturn do not ‘perfect’ at this moment in time (i.e. they do not conjunct, but are now brought together by the Moon), far-sighted Sagittarian issues, such as mind-expansion, deeper-meaning and faith, are highlighted. A Full Moon in the sign of the centaur accents the Spiritual Warrior who lives in the ‘now’, even when presented with a glimpse of future concerns that are cosmically bound to be prominent at the end of August 2016, when Mars and Saturn finally meet (@ 10° Sagittarius).

With Moon conjoined to Mars, it also means Sun is opposite Mars.  Sun opposition Moon and Venus opposition Mars sees both sets of relationship planets on other sides of the sky. This can be the classic marriage of ‘opposites attract’ or just that others can repel; either way these two oppositions spark a creative (and sexual) tension that could all-too- easily feed ego competition. Rise to a challenge by all means, but remember that any merit in your karmic credit bank is wiped-out in one fell swoop if anger is negatively expressed. In the words of the Buddha “Anger is like holding onto hot coals – you are the one who gets hurt!”

Luckily, Sun at 1Gemini is conjoined to harmonious Venus, still at home in Taurus. Venus helps the non-stop whirring mind of the Gemini Sun to generate a positive mental attitude with the kind of enthusiasm that fuels inner warmth and de-light. Though this is no ‘ordinary’ Venusian Love Goddess the Sun shines upon; she is combust (behind the Sun) revealing how unconditional, self-love also now means loving the wild side of the feminine and honouring the woman who runs with wolves and hunts in moonlight.

Currently at the 26th degree of Taurus, Venus aligns with a fixed star called ‘Algol’, which represents the ‘Gorgon’s Head’, the snake-hair dreadlocked Medusa, whose name originally meant ‘sovereign female wisdom’. Fixed stars pinpoint certain intensity. In this case, it is a concentrated primal feminine passion which, if obstructed or repressed, severed or feared, has the potential to dramatically turn to stone (situations and or people)– or, not-so-surprisingly, to heal, especially when the powerful feminine force is revered. Bear in mind that each one of us has an intuitive feminine side – even if you’re a guy; and Mars only disarms for Venusian charm (made especially poignant as Venus and Mars oppose each other as the Moon wanes on the 25th),  which, when embraced, restores an internal balance that inspires our natural radiance and true identity to shine.

For many people the world over, who live in accordance with the rhythm of lunar lore, this is also a most important Moon in the Buddhist calendar, as it celebrates the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Gothama Siddartha Buddha. Buddha was a historically real person, who lived over 2500 years ago and taught that we are all born with an inner-light we can grow, to dispel darkness specifically through sharing our love and happiness. This ‘Festival of Light’ is known as ‘Wesak’ throughout Far-Eastern Asia, ‘Buddha Purnima’ in India, and ‘Saga Dawa’ in the Himalayas. It is a Full Moon is considered to be a ‘Karma Multiplied day’, encouraging a mindfulness of our own natural brilliance during this glorious light-filled Silver Moon, to be enhanced by planets Scarlet Mars, Golden Saturn, and Rosy Venus. Shine on dear astro brothers and sisters. May this be a Moon when the luminous clear light of (self) Love (not in an egotistical way) beams and radiates from within, and all around…

Lastly, as Sagittarius is the zodiac sign of philosophical understanding and spiritual practice, I close this Full Moon report with a prayer from our great esoteric (Gemini Sun) astrologer, Alice A.Bailey, to invoke the light within.

The Great Invocation
From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ** return to Earth.
From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

**Many believe in a World Teacher, a “Coming One”, knowing him under such names as the Lord Maitreya, the Imam Mahdi, the Kalki Avatar and the Bodhisattva (which we can all be, by aspiring to live a life that benefits others). These terms are sometimes used in versions of the Great Invocation for people of specific faiths.

*Astologer Richard Nolle, who termed the phrase ‘SuperMoon’, also invented the name ‘Mars Max’, for the phase for when Mars is closest to the Earth and brightest in the midnight sky.

Buddha Purnima ~ ☼ ♉ -- ◯ ♏ 3rd/4th May

Buddha Purnima – Wesak - Vesak is the Full Moon (exact tonight/tomorrow morning 4:42BST @14 Scorpio) when much of southern Asia celebrates the birth, death and paranirvana of Gothama Siddartha Buddha. The Himalayan Buddhist community will celebrate the same features during Saka Dawa, the ‘Star Moon’ next month (June 2nd).

☸ Like the Buddha, one can reap now profound insights during this extremely powerful Full Scorpio Moon, which one can apply to maintain a healthy sense of self-worth and emotional stability. Spirit Sun in Taurus encourages us to appreciate what is of value in this life. Whereas the Scorpio Moon imparts an inner sensibility, which intuitively knows when it is time for renewal, and when to let go or ideals, materials and even people that no longer serve the union of spirit and soul, and the part one plays within the soul groups’ contract.

☸ With both Sun and Moon in hard aspect to expansive Jupiter in generous Leo, this tends to magnify any self-made drama so it is essential that we become big-hearted, kind to ourselves and others and generate faith in our optimism. While it is important to harness Jupiter’s ability to view a bigger picture, it is also imperative to be realistic, and keep a close eye upon personal expectations. With Jupiter’s unrestrained nature we can set ourselves up for disappointment if we watch things, people and events come and go without understanding that all is transitory.

☸ This Full Moon is also called 'the Flower Moon'. Buddhists use the symbol of a flower to symbolise life’s fleeting nature: resting one’s gaze upon nature we can appreciate the beauty and joy inherent in all things, yet understanding that beauty fades and dies, only for the seed of consciousness to be reborn, by releasing any propensity to rely upon the material world for fulfilment. Now is the time for the spiritual seed of enlightenment to grow and shine.

With thanks to Visual Alchemy for Beautiful Buddha, & sending ℒℴѵℯ on the moonbeams, especially to everyone in beloved Nepal, where there were 3 more eathquakes today, and renewal is for the future to rise like a phoenix from the ashes, but for many survival is the present. Please give generously: a kind thought, prayer or donation can go a long way.
Thank you, Laura

Guru Purninima ~> Full SuperMoon July 11-12-13th 2014

Full Super Moon 11th-12-13th July __/\__
☼✶•*¨*•.¸¸✶

Because the Cancerian Sun is with an exalted Jupiter, planet of hope and cheer, there is every heavenly cause to be optimistic with a wonderful Capricorn Full Supermoon, to be exact at 12:25BST Saturday, 12th July. Expansive Jupiter magnifies, as well as also being the Sacred Guru who offers protective wisdom, so that one can remain confident - even in the midst of important beginnings, and possibly even more poignant endings.

Note: This is no ordinary SuperMoon (astronomical name ‘perigee syzygy’ when the Moon is closest to the Earth), as complex celestial geometry raises the cosmic love vibration to enhance spiritual development and reveal the Divine within. By creating an obvious dynamic opening for powerful transformation, dramatic change, and insightful revelation, both ‘The Lights’, Sun and Moon, pick up the ‘Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun’, as well as making a Grand Trine and rare ‘Kite’ formation. And although there may be storms, high tides and flares, we always seem to have some kind of suffering to confront – everything is relative – Events surrounding this Full SuperMoon ask us to generate loving kindness with a harmonious heart, and to negotiate all levels of diplomatic healing between neighbours, friends or foes, seen or unseen, so that all beings can know peace.

Image is of the Kalachakra Sand Mandala, the mandala for World Peace. During this Full SuperMoon, with the union of wisdom and compassion, His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama is conferring an Initiation into this multidimensional mandala in Ladhak India. May it be of benefit to all
