❂ Astrological Vajra King of the Diamond Thunderbolt

Jupiter in Capricorn 2:12:19 ~ 20:12:2020

Jupiter, the astrological Vajra King of Thunderbolts, changes signs today December 2nd. Leaving home sign Sagittarius for another twelve years, the cosmic sacred guru, Jupiter, now moves into karmic Capricorn, where he stays until what promises to be a sparkling Winter Solstice 2020 – a whole year away. This year’s Solstice, 2019, sees Dakini Guru blessings.

As the nature of Jupiter is to learn how to grow wisely, expanding horizons as well as minds, we now have a full twelve months to have a solid understanding of the professional and accomplished sphere in which the hard-working and dedicated Capricorn operates. Even if facing oppressive Capricorn harsh reality, Jupiter’s position is to maintain optimism and find ways around obstacles and through difficulties. Still, the karmic gates will open wide this year, for situations, people and events to come and go and display compassion in action, as well as ethical self-discipline and personal responsibility.

Those born in 2008, 1996, 1984,1972, 1961,1949, 1937 are celestially singled out for success and luck.

Capricorn is a practical, earthbound sign, to which the Sky God ‘falls’. And with Jupiter in Capricorn (joining powerful duo Saturn and Pluto) one learns to be tactical too, like a fatherly mentor knowing how to handle and make light of the density, especially that of desire.

The Jupitarian Sky God’s first major astral connection is on the 15th December, just after Solstice Full Moon,12th December, in which Jupiter connects to Uranus, agent of change and ruler of space – and electricity – zapping into the New Year, thus clearing the air for 2020’s nominative determinism and a year of potentially super-clear vision.

When Jupiter joins Ketu, the Dragon’s Tail, January 6th, a time of karmic transitions begins to mark once-every-thirty-five-year-events around the January Full Moon penumbral Lunar Eclipse, when peaceful emotions are more precious than striving for rank or status. Be warned: Jupiter’s presence in Capricorn can promote risk-taking among those seeking authority and prominence. And be aware that that no matter how calculated ones’ plans, only when they are based in love and selflessness will success carry you forward. Jupiter goes retrograde at 27° Capricorn, on May 14th, Thor’s day; going direct September 12th on Saturn’s Day (Saturn rules Capricorn), at 17° Capricorn. People with planets at those degrees (or opposite) could more easily tune into Jupiter’s magnetic qualities that magnify whatever it touches.

May the Cosmic Guru’s blessings be with you all!

LOSAR lunation 2016 ☼✰··☾♡☽··✰☼ Monlam

✰ From today, 9th February, the first 15 days of the new Lunar year, the LOSAR lunation, are considered karma multiplied days _/\_ During this ‘Monlam’ period, from New Moon to Full, it is said the Lord Buddha performed a miracle each day. Each miracle accumulates more and more merit to awaken the bodhi-mind, the awakened heart-mind; and on the 15th Full Moon day (22nd February 2016) the accumulation of merit is celebrated with the ‘Day of Miracles’, also called known as 'Chötrul Düchen', or ‘The Great Prayer Festival’.

✰ In Buddhism we also learn that we are all potential Buddhas (which means ‘awakened one’). As such, we also co-create with the universe and can participate in making our own miracles, and dedicating the merit to benefit of others. Such goodness bodes well for the removal of personal obstacles which might arise during this Fire Monkey year.

✰In khartsee (Tibetan/Chinese astrology), generally speaking, obstacles come in the birth year. For those born in 1956 obstacles need not necessarily be unlucky: one is advised however, to exercise more caution than be carefree, but still welcome the change to be inventive and work with others.

✰ From this year's planetary point of view, Jupiter (the planet associated with the 12 year animal cycle, known as the Grand Duke in Chinese system) is making tricky aspects with Saturn (Lord of obstacles and karma) in March & May, so obstacles may come early. The two planets then go on to make good and more helpful aspects as the year progresses, which potentially harmonises business, health and relationships (from September onward, until Feb 27th 2017, when the animal sign changes again (to Rooster)).

✰So, imho, overall, this may not be an excellent year, though some will undoubtedly buck that generalisation, it can be a good year for Monkey _/\_ :) Losar Tashi Delek! _/\_ Laura

☆ •°*♌ ☾ ♒ ◯ ♒ ☽ ♃ *°•.☆ Full Leo Moon Feb2015

"Self-confidence is knowing that we have the capacity to do something good and firmly decide not to give up." ~ His Holiness the Dalai Lama ~

Because tonight's Full Leo Moon (exact 23:07gmt Feb3rd) is conjunct expansive Jupiter, there is a tendency to inflate and multiply whatever is happening. Now, more than ever, we need to good to ourselves and others and be aware how it is the middle path that leads to peace, and to have the confidence to be kind and grow the positive with courage and compassion whenever and wherever possible. For whenever Jupiter touches a planet, the energies of that planet are magnified; with the currently retrograde Jupiter in union with this Full heartfelt Leo Moon all kinds of situations can take on mammoth proportions – for good or bad, happy or sad.

Together with the most sacred celestial guide - Jupiter is THE cosmic Guru, this sensitive Moon invokes memories, student/teacher relations, and family connections, be it global family or ‘familiar’ kindred spirits, the past also takes on greater significance, especially when thoughts are connected to the heart and to love. So be aware that emotions can now be heightened and reactions excessive - even the snow (or Sun in the southern hemisphere) might seem crisper, whiter, purer.

Issues of loyalty in love may also be raised, where doing what is right to keep one’s integrity in tact provides a firmer foundation in truth. Jupiter also teaches us to seek out the broader view, a perspective that enables one to understand and embody even the most abstract principles and ethics which can ultimately lead to Spirit’s liberation.

With Spirit Sun now in Aquarius, the sign of the higher mind’s freedom through altruism, it’s worth remembering how in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition that the mind lives in the heart. The more we focus upon love and kindness then the more intelligent we become, as a collective and as an individual.

△ Grand Air Trine △ Guru Rinpoche day _/\_ Jan'15

☽☆☾ This lunar cycle’s 'Guru Rinpoche' day, when we give thanks and honour our guides, teachers and, in the Tibetan Buddhist’s tradition, our Lama, has a seriously intellectual quality about it, with reason and love triumphant when embracing unity, bliss and emptiness. This is because a triangle formation between the Aquarian Sun, the growing Gemini Moon, and the Moon’s North Node in Libra, now emphasises the highest functions of the heart mind.

△ With a 'Grand Air Trine' the ability to find common bonds through ideas and friendship can create unity that helps to overcome the dualism separating us from the cosmic Oneness, which has our best interests at heart. Indeed, this kind of magical spacy cohesion helps to appreciate how the teacher works in mysterious ways. Please note that a teacher can be within, someone you met, or from books or videos, even.

△ And though we are all born with an inherent inner wisdom, none of us is perfect. In Buddhist philosophy we are all each others’ teachers, in one form or another. So it is during this glorious Gibbous Moon phase, before the upcoming glorious full Moon, where we celebrate the sacred connections that help us to breathe easy and remove karmic obscuration.

△ Paying respect to those who help gain personal insight, intuition, and wisdom overview, continues to be in the spotlight with Full Leo Moon, Tuesday the 4th, which will be conjunct Jupiter, the solar system’s munificent ‘Cosmic Guru’, which should be fun. ;)

☽☆☾ It is also worth noting how the nodal axis, with north &south nodes signifying where we are going and where we are coming from respectively, are currently activated by eccentric Uranus, conjunct the South Node. This powerful galvanization from the planet of change, Uranus, advocates the movement towards peace, beauty and harmony (NN in Libra) by raising awareness of where we have been, bringing new gifts to make serious changes (Uranus conjunct SN) that embrace the new and exciting.

In this astral Aquarian age of enlightenment, altruism is the key to the success of any transformation. _/

☽☆☾ Image is of Garuda – artist unknown, sent to us by one of the great living masters, Jadho Rinpoche _/
♥\_  Garuda is the Himalayan ‘King of the Birds’, who removes the poison to avoid any injury that comes about from desire, ignorance and aversion. In the Tibetan Kalachakra system of astrology, Garuda is associated with the inventive Fixed Air sign, Aquarius. the sign in which Sprit Sun currently resides.

Spirit of the Zen Centaur ~ Sun in Sagittarius 2010

The Zen archer uses breathing techniques to help control the mind and shed layers of ego, in order to focus and become one with the target, so that when he releases the arrow he thereby discovers himself. Though, “When shooting, if one hits the target, one can miss the self. At other times we will miss the target, but hit the self”. And it’s this quote from Onuma Sensei, a Japanese Kyudo (Archery) master, which stimulates that most essential ingredient in any factor when setting sights on any goal: Spirit. Because a strong Spirit enables one to remain optimistic even if aiming around corners, or when riding a rough patch. Luckily, the Sun is now in Sagittarius, the sign of the archer, urging us to stay hopeful and confident, especially when we set intention and feel a sense of purpose.

As a fire sign, Sagittarius illuminates Spirit through inspiriation. With a beam of directed and focus light, pointing the way ahead, the archer aims at the heart of the matter, with an arrow directed at the centre of the enlightened self. Without being lumbered by ego-baggage, Sagittarius experiences life both intuitively and wisely.

Able to understand that thought is power, Sagittarian encouragement allows the mind to aspire, so a bigger picture can to come into focus. And while many planets indicate the Life of Spirit is at point of manifesting awareness through being able to synthesis manifold issues, its important to endeavour to maintain enthusiasm while the process progresses to reach some kind of solution mid-to late January. Before that we have a set of eclipses to navigate: The first is at Winter Solstice with a Full Moon. Albeit a partial lunar eclipse, at 29 degrees Sagittarius and Gemini it conjuncts the galactice centre, and is perhaps even THE alignment to which the Mayan's were refering to re 2012.

In Buddhism, however, enthusiasm is considered to be one of the six perfections; being pleased when we perform good actions, think good thoughts and aspire to good intentions, particularly for the benefit of others, spurs us on to persevere (even during mid-to late December when the planets enter a challenging phase) . In astrology, however, the Sagittarius ruler is generous Jupiter, the planet of enthusiasm.  And we can ride along with a Centaurs’ gusto as Jupiter begins to go forward, after months of backtracking, and now plays a starring role, as our development of Spirit becomes paramount.  So should the mind fall into fear and pessimism at any time during these next few weeks, the stars also say we also have the potential to eliminate any gloomy negativity with insight and truths that could well lead to a serious breakthrough at the New Moon on December the 5th, which culminates in the partial lunar eclipse.

One last word (for the moment ;)) is how Sagittarius is also the sign of long distance travel, as well as the sign of the broader vision.  Those planning to travel this holiday season are advised to take extra care in more ways than just checking time-tables, as Mercury goes retrograde mid-December until the end of the year (more on this later). Be warned and be on guard: 14th December looks particularly tricky, when changes are made to even the best laid plans.
