Galactic Heart SakaDawa Honey Moon ~> 2019

Galactic Heart SakaDawa Honey Moon ~>
25°55’ Sagittarius
Only a few days before Solstice, aligning exactly with the spiralling Galactic Centre at 26° Sagittarius, 8:31UT Monday 17th June, this Full Honey Moon assures copious amounts of sweetness, hope, and mystery.

As cute as that may sound, keep your wits about you. Because during a Full Moon that revolves around the Milky Way in the sign of the Archer conjunct the compact gamma-ray radio source, Sagittarius A, we require information, truth, and faith, in order to navigate the unknown. Having eyes in the back of your head will also help.

During the Full Honey Moon when Luna tunes into the Galactic Heart, we can become aware how all kinds of info and ideas are being signalled for us to pick-up and digest. Through whatever platform you use to communicate (through the Gemini Sun), bear in mind that whatever is heard or received, be it a direct instruction or plain-old gobbledegook, wisdom now shines through by aiming (the Sagittarian archer’s arrow) far and high, all-the-while keeping faith close to heart, expectations and hope in perspective, and a vow to always be okay with whatever happens next.

Indeed, those gifted with a versatile mind and the ability to swiftly spin and change direction upon a dime will do well on this Full Moon, as the quality of ‘Mutable Fire’ carries the tone of a far-reaching Sagittarius Honey Moon horoscope, i.e. this is a Moon of changeable action that encourages adjustments to be sweet in ease and hope.

Also empowering this hipster swivelling Moon to move and groove whilst staying on emotional centre and surround oneself with all good things is expansive Jupiter, in home sign Sagittarius, where Jupiter positively amplifies everything, including the potential for luck and success.

Jupiter at home in Sagittarius plays a major role in this horoscope!
Beneficent Jupiter is a helpful teacher, a bit like a planetary St. Nicholas - bestowing good fortune, as well the desire to travel and expand horizons.  With strong moral convictions, generous good-naturedness and a glint in all knowing Jupiter’s wisdom eye, a conjunction of the cosmic and munificent Guru, Jupiter, with the soulful Full Moon, splendour and enthusiasm also double-up to magnify all kinds of feelings and situations, distances and measurements, stories and beliefs. No doubt tall tales will entertain and enchant; and some will dine on Full Moon antics for years to come. But essentially the Moon and Jupiter together point to emotional truths that embrace individual freedoms, especially the freedom to explore abstract ideas that give life meaning; and those deeply significant experiences that become part of our personal philosophy and beliefs, customs and ceremony.

Just be warned: there is no point being small-minded when Jupiter presents large. Nor should one be surprised if gaiety goes over the top, balloons pop, and much hot air is released.

And if it all gets too much then take solace from Jupiter-Neptune enlightened artist William Blake’s quote the road to excess leads to a font of wisdom”

☆ Strong lessons are to be learned from the Jupitarian generosity of spirit, especially in longevity (of life, project, ideas, law). Know that keeping an open mind is also considered healthy for the heartmind and body! Interestingly, long-lasting civilisations are ones that appreciate big-hearted Jupiter’s greater vision, and are accommodating in tolerating others’ principles and religion, understanding how we are all children of the starry heavens.

With the growing Moon we can even look up to the midnight sky and see Jupiter and the purple-blue sparkles that radiate from this celestial King of Planets. To symbolically experience Jupiter’s 360° panoramic perspective on life, find a high spot to watch Moonrise; on the first night of the Full Moon 16th June, Jupiter will be on the left of the Moon; also for culmination; by the 18th, Jupiter will be on the right of the Moon, and for three nights tune into the Heart of the Galaxy.

Note Jupiter at home in Sagittarius is THE planetary placement for understanding new discoveries and adventure, especially in the great halls of learning, academia and law, places that broaden the mind – as well as the actual viewpoint.

Open-minded Jupiter is also the ‘driver’, training this ‘locomotive’ chart; i.e. Jupiter, the Sky God with thunderbolt in hand, is first to come over the horizon with the rest of the planets to follow – just how a grandiose Jupiter likes it, leading the planetary precession, imparting optimism and confidence by example. Even if this all sounds like a bit of a party, it is. BUT be aware Jupiter is retrograde; and with the emotional Full Moon it indicates we all need to majorly rework our responses to various different viewpoints – especially those concerning the expansion of freedom and justice, communication and instruction, perhaps even through high-courts and councils if need be, as Jupiter leads the ‘Train of Truth & Freedom’ around the heart of the Galaxy in a spiralling roundabout manner, going over old ground but off the beaten track, the scenic route preferred.

A head spinning this way and that could have its advantages, specifically when grasping the phenomenal astronomical enormity and power that emanates from the Milky Way’s Central Galactic Heart. Such contemplation could even bring Jupiter’s jolly japes and often inflated plans and ideas back into scale. Surely, Jupiter at the Galactic centre will always want to make sense of the Gamma rays and radio waves, pulsars, tightly-packed spinning neutron stars, and dark matter that isn’t under gravitational influence: because all are said to radiate from Sagittarius A, the supermassive black hole which is a cosmic soup from which everything stirs. Indeed, we even use gamma rays to heal, in Cancer therapy for instance; and harm, as in deadly radiation. But the actual power structure of ‘Dark Matter’ is a scientific mystery. To date there isn’t a consensus upon what the pulsating heart of our Milky Way is actually directing Earthbound.

All this and more may be the reason Jupiter and the associated sign of Sagittarius are the astrological indication of seeking truths. Situations that affect large swaths of people veiled from truth, as in often totally obscured, is a theme for 2019, of which the Sagittarian Jupiter shares with nebulous Neptune in a tight, Last Quarter Square, which is exact at just a few hours before the culmination of the Galactic Heart Full Honey Moon (June 16th @15:19UT, 18° Sagittarius Jupiter square 18° Pisces Neptune).

☆ The Full Moon illuminates the opaque; as things unseen need not be confined to subterfuge or hidden plots to take over the world (as in the present Capricorn conjunction of Saturn and Pluto on the South Node); but what we can’t see but often ‘feel’, as in sensing hypnotic strength in magnetic fields, can also be helpful. These sensations could best be described waves of collective wishes and longing, potentially Divine in nature, angelic in approach, and enlightened in presence and purpose, i.e. there is a serious force for good in the world, all we have to do is the believe.

The Jupiter Neptune Square 2019
Call the supremely connected cosmic force which envelops the universe God, Goddess, Nature, the Void, Allah, Buddha, Krishna, Vishnu or Shiva, whatever you want, but the Divine is centre the celestial stage whenever there is a Neptune transit. Activating this year-long (closing) square between knowledgeable Jupiter and dreamy Neptune is a connection that began late May 2009, just after a New Moon in Gemini (for Gemini’s communication skills to play a significant part in this particularly long 13-year cycle), breathing truth and freedom, compassion and love into every cell in our bodies.

Interestingly, this Jupiter-Neptune cycle also keys into Sun’s crosses, as well as the Solar-Lunar and Venusian cycles. Explaining briefly, a New Moon in the sign of the Twins (where the Sun is now) is where we began this influential visionary cycle that takes the world one step closer to the humanitarian Age of Aquarius. Back in 2009, just as this phase of mass interconnection and the internet morphed in to mirror the generational planet Neptune conjunct Jupiter, at 26 Aquarius, social media clicked into place with mainstream tech and A.I., to manipulate and create a group, ‘Big Data’ kind of consciousness.

On a personal level it might be good to recall what was going on Spring 2009: what was ‘new’ for you then? Check what a Big Wide World of inventive interconnection brought to you personally. Ideally, Divine wisdom began to open your wisdom eye for you to be able to visualise a happy and harmonious future crystal clear. Fellow astrologer Astrid Fallon calls this cycle between Jupiter and Neptune the ‘Relationship of ideals to society’s expectations’, because Jupiter provides courage and confidence, and Neptune is a generational planet that tunes into the collective undercurrents where dreams and trends can be symbolised in fashion, music, dance, film, meditation, prayer, yoga, hypnotism, mesmerism.

Through the power of the unspoken ‘Neptunian vibration' connecting to Divinity, all the above activities are also ways conscious self blends with the individual and collective unconscious. All the while sage Jupiter informs of any progress when growing the spiritual light. And Neptune merges bliss into emptiness. As I said, that is the ideal. Often Jupiter’s ability to expand is witnessed within Neptune’s world of illusion and delusion.

Tracking the timing of the 2009 Jupiter-Neptune (illusory) collective wave (of developing spiritual devotion) through the hard aspects, with a First Quarter Square: June 25th 2012, and a First Quarter Moon near the Solstice: this was a very similar celestial set-up to where we are now, bar the fact 2012 also coincided with the first of the historical seven Uranus-Pluto squares that dramatically influenced innovative social trust and control.

The Opposition: 17 September 2015 between Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Virgo was within days of a Lunar Eclipse, accenting Jupiter AND fixed star Spica, representing the grain held by the Sacred Goddess.

Now, at the Last Quarter Square, also around June Solstice but on a Full Moon, we are dealing with a three-part retrograde series that began with a 1st hit: January 13th and a First Quarter Moon. The 2nd exact Square (with both planets retrograde) is now, at the Galactic Heart Honey Moon. A 3rd and final hard challenge is October 21st, also on a first Quarter Moon, and just before a Halloween Full Moon, when the learning to trust one’s intuition is an intrinsic part of becoming a ‘world server’.

Philosophical Jupiter and devoted Neptune won’t meet again April 12th 2022, when both modern and traditional rulers of Pisces come together for the first time since March 1856! And because Jupiter is often the life-saving cavalry, and Neptune rules the oceans, I’d like to think we might be saving the wholesomeness of the planet’s water by then, by purifying the pollution we create, internally and externally. Now, wouldn’t that be a good legacy to read about 170 years from now! Hey, we did say think BIG!

☆ Back to this Full Moon: and if you are feeling cautious, note your gut instinct and what it tells you; if it is ‘beware’, ‘back down’ and ‘take care’, then do (because Mercury and Mars are working together at the Cancer North Node indicating someone (else) in the family (also) has your best interests at heart. So heed any inner-voice which whispers promises of comfort and joy and home-made apple pie – just like Mom used to make ;) ).

And if things don’t come up to Jupiter’s normally high ethical standards, perhaps because of too much Gemini high-jinx, we should still be optimistic, and look to the future with and open heart and a song on our lips. Only please avoid setting yourself up for disappointment by glossing over facts or believing everything you see, hear or think!  Seriously: test and question everything that is important to you with two things, faith in the universal unfolding AND an analytical mind, and events around this Full Moon will show you how you can develop confidence, especially in your spiritual path. And boost oneself for round four (of ten) of the rather trying Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn that challenges our need for certain boundaries and control.

To illuminate our path, this promising Full Moon is also SakaDawa, however, when Himalayan Buddhists celebrate the enlightenment and passing of the Buddha. As such, it’s a day for creating positive thoughts, words, and deeds and generating serious karmic brownie points. Enjoy!

With best wishes for a sparkling Galactic Heart Honey Moon!
With many thanks to Roshi Joan for finding this great quote:
Jack Kerouac: “stare deep into the world before you as if it were the void: innumerable holy ghosts, buddies and saviour gods there hide smiling. all the atoms emitting light inside wavehood, there is no personal separation of any of it. a hummingbird can come into a house and hawk will not: so rest and be assured, while looking for light, you may suddenly be devoured by the darkness and find the true light.”

Total Lunar Eclipse Full Blood Super Moon 0°51’ Leo

Total Lunar Eclipse Full Blood Super Moon 0°51’ Leo
@ 5:16 am UT 21st January 2019

Culminating with grand celestial titles that make it a class act Full Moon,  this first Full Moon of 2019 is also first in a series of three Full Supermoons, where the ‘Supermoon’ closest to the Earth can even look bigger than normal (though Feb’s Full Moon is closer still); furthermore,  this Full Moon is a Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse!

Emotions run deep during eclipses; everything could seem extra buzzy. With Earth’s orbit directly crossing between Sun and Moon, Earth blocks the Moon reflecting Sol’s Light. Instead, for one hour and one minute of totality, ‘Earthshine’ creates coppery-rust-red Moonlight for those in the America’s with a clear sky.

To sprinkle a little more moon magic in the nights running up to this Full Moon, rings of golden light will also encircle Luna, adding enchantment and glow to a mighty powerful Total Lunar Eclipse Full Super Moon, beautifully super-charged, super creative, and super-insightful. There isn’t another Total Lunar Eclipse SuperMoon until May 2021!

As such this Full Moon is rather special. At 0°Leo, drama Queens – and Kings – feature centre stage in any event. And as situations, encounters and ideas develop around this Full Moon they’re likely to become even more theatrical. Leo has a tendency to be regal and confident, strong and competent – and is often over the top in royal pomp and glory in any account.

Ruled by the Sun, Leo activates the crown and heart (chakras) so get ready to share the love and sparkle because good fortune can now manifest from having proved yourself with experience and well-rehearsed familiarity. Although a seemingly spontaneous performance is also to be expected, individual success will be because one has previously practiced, to be relaxed enough to let the fun shine through.

Be it at home or at work, or within a larger framework to include friends and society in general, when Spirit Sun is in Aquarius and Soul Moon is in Leo, there always is a chance to share our unique and creative gifts with a generous heart. To do so could also lead to a change of heart that vows to guide self and others safely away from any destabilising chaos, and back to centre – back to LOVE.

Lunar Eclipse in depth:
The celestial factors within this Full Moon horoscope are what I consider ‘major’ because they carry key planetary signatures which define the 2019 Earth Pig year, and have only just come into play. Quite apart from the highly emotive and dramatic Lunar Eclipse, this could therefore be an extremely challenging Full Moon for many astrological reasons, one with of the long-term effects accenting personal, particularly privileged and collective expectations, all while we develop faith, expand our compassion, and weave the highly idealistic and meaningful into our mythic stories. By the end of year, implementing those ideals into our (shared) lives is actually easier when we have a realistic view. (More on this further into in this Full Moon astro report.)

While it’s always good to consider the long term, more immediately a demanding ’Grand Square’ includes Sun and Moon in a tense ‘T- Square’ to Uranus, which is currently conjunct the lawless dwarf outer planet, Eris. Tension is palpable almost everywhere. Both Uranus and Eris have a revolutionary edge about them; as they oppose the Asteroid Goddess of strategy, Pallas Athena, thereby completing and tightening a Grand Square; it suggests the entitled and those in authority do not want to lose their grip on the material world, while the ordinary person strives to ‘Be the Change we Wish to See’.

With Pallas included in the astral equation, take note that if and when following sought advice, the quest for truth and freedom could stir up a need for alternative action.  Even so, with so many planets in Capricorn, including Saturn at home in his sign of the devoted Sea-Goat, caution is the watchword, and forging new alliances ought not to be at the expense of those who have offered support. In point of fact, undertaking anything radical or unusual should really be put on hold until a New Moon on the 4th, when breakthroughs and miracles abound.

A ‘Grand Water Trine’ between Rahu (aka North Node or Dragon’s Head), asteroid Earth Mother Ceres, and Shamanic Healer Chiron, suggests grief is healing. To sensitively move forward, even if the heart aches, one can still find a place of solace within, within oneself and within nature. As this is a Water Trine, for those experiencing loss or separation, it may be helpful to actually be near the actual element; i.e. sit and contemplate memories by a lake, river or ocean and be renewed by the rejuvenating power of water itself.

Tellingly, for this dualistic Earthly world, during this Full Moon both sets of planetary ‘Malefic’ and ‘Benefics’ are making excellent astral connections to each other. It’s almost like goodies and baddies banding allies together. Championing the goodies, the greater and lesser benefics, expansive Jupiter and loving Venus respectively, conjoin on the 22nd (third day of the Full Moon!); preceded by the greater and lesser malefic, authoritative Saturn and martial Mars, squaring up to each other on the 21st, just after the Full Moon.

Dynamic Mars is also at home in Aries, doubling up aggression and excitement. Check 13°Capricorn and Aries in your chart to see where you currently crave freedom and movement but right now also need to be super cool, mature and patient. Be aware: authority in action can be brutal with this kind of ‘opening square’, marking a quarter of a cycle that began spring of 2018, and which culminates around the June Solstice: a fine celebration.

So while there is extra, often external tension, finding calm and treading the peaceful middle path is always easier when we are guided by an internal compass pointing to loving kindness, faith and hope. And we can thank our lucky stars because the two benefics, Venus and Jupiter, are both in Jupiter’s home sign of Sagittarius; and this favours a higher luck-o-meter and feel-good factor considerably.

Together, Venus and Jupiter are in an advantageous ‘Trine’ aspect to the self-motivated knight in shining armour, Mars, directing us to keep up strength, with intention pure, heartmind open, and be ready to receive goodness when it appears – as it surely will whilst loving Venus and truth-seeking Jupiter are marvellously conjunct the ‘Great Attractor’.  This is one of the Zodiac’s most charismatic and magnetic points. So be careful what you wish for now, and remember that ancient energy lore: what you put out comes back to you triple fold.

Events and people can still seem super-stressy, especially when impatiently seeking change which could perhaps also blind them to the cost and loss of personal freedoms that take place in the name of ‘control’ and ‘safety’.  And while conjunct the Aquarian Sun, the Capricorn South Node also contacts Mercury AND Pluto, the planet of communication acts with the tiny planet that exerts a massive but often unseen influence: there may well be a dominating hidden hand that steers the easily swayed with powerful authority, such as the press and its propaganda. But as the Sun moves into networking Aquarius, pertinent information and the understanding of situations can clarify, so that each of us is freer to self-direct, all the while remaining part of the greater whole, still affiliated to our kindred spirits which the Aquarian Sun illuminates and represents.

Interestingly, the Dragon’s Head, (aka Rahu or the Moon’s North Node) is conjunct Fixed Star, Procyon, indicating short-lived but rather fantastic opportunities, especially for gains in wealth and fortune in the 12 hours before culmination. Prospects that appear before the Full SuperMoon could even change the course of destiny.

Be aware how wide the karmic gates open when the Nodal Axis aligns with Cancer and Capricorn. Although the Lunar Eclipse accents Leo for the last time in 18 years, there is still a strong Cancerian influence, due to the Moon’s Node in Cancer plus the Moon’s rulership over Cancer. As such, in the hours running up to the hour of totality, put on your ‘responsible and disciplined’ hat, and consider the direction in which you and your family are progressing as global citizens, providing a sense of belonging that makes one feel supported and connected.

The Moon is also a mega-important feature in the Full SuperMoon horoscope, in-as-much as it is the ‘handle’ of a ‘bucket shaped’ chart. When the Moon ‘holds’ the charts in this manner, it is known as a ‘singleton’,  with all the other planets directly opposite in the other half of the chart. Once again the strain is upon the sensitive Moon, which represents emotions and needs, as well as ‘the mood of the people’ in mundane political charts. Thus it also puts emphasis upon the ordinary population moved and swayed by emotions. It’s actually a very strong position, as without the handle the contents of the bucket become stagnant. The ‘Handle’ is what takes the rest of the chart places. This suggests that while one individual might not seem make a difference, many people working together can.

In this midst of all interconnection many can still suffer from emotional isolation. Which leads one to ask how do we find that safe place in a society that is undergoing enormous and fast moving change, change affecting our relationships, finances, education, vocations and culture? Well, at this moment we can look at two long-term aspects that are seeded within this powerful Lunar Eclipse. Both noteworthy signatures involve the generational planet, Neptune, the planet that symbolises an entire 14-year soul group, currently activating magical mystical, forgiving Pisces.

“Be kind to the afflicted,
Be gentle with the fool,
Empathize with the weak and oppressed,
Be especially compassionate with those who cling to concrete reality.”
~Patrul Rinpoche ~

1) Currently the tightest aspect stems from a 12.8-year cycle started in 2009 and ends in 2022, involving Jupiter, the planet of optimism and growth, and Neptune, the planet of music, magic and mystery. The influence of the Jupiter at home in Sagittarius and Neptune at home in Pisces is a ‘closing square’ that is operational for the best part of 9 months, give or take a few weeks, in three parts: January, June and September.

This cycle began when both Jupiter and Neptune were in Aquarius to ‘grow previously unseen connections’, particularly in the social arena of technology and cyber interaction. The internet loves inter-connecting Aquarius. How many of us then delved into the interconnected world of social media in 2009? Quite a lot I imagine. Now, however, as the two planets still have three more years before they re-connect in Neptune’s own sign, and ethical Jupiter’s traditional sign, Pisces (April 2022), there is a planetary tussle, reflecting a collective crisis of confidence especially in the spheres of truth and belief, religion and divinity, forgiveness and compassion.

Now is the time for soul-groups to develop correct ethics and encourage faith in the goodness of humanity. When reading personal horoscopes, look to Jupiter, Sagittarius and the 9th house sphere as the place for spiritual and religious beliefs, expanded minds and carefully thought-out abstracts. What we believe in and how fanatical or zealous one might be is all shown in these areas. And with Jupiter at home in Sagittarius the likelihood of religion being a source of conflict is periodically higher (with the games people play, like ‘My Duck God is better than your Rabbit God’!). Whereas the prayers and mantras we actually offer to our particular God or Goddess (Duck or Rabbit), be divinity in nature or in the heartmind, are all within the dream-like sphere of Neptune, Pisces, and the 12th House. Within a deeply magical vibration, we are now at the astrological point of seeking truth with our cosmic connection to the Divine, and this continues for several more years (until 2016). From a more mundane point of view this square makes it easy to manipulate others by blasting religious propaganda, fake news etc. Be careful not to overwhelm yourself or others with beliefs, but instead learn to value the interconnections we all share.

2) The second aspect to involve Neptune is a ‘closing sextile’ to the Time Lord, Saturn. This is a much easier aspect within a much longer, 36-year cycle, which began in 1989 (with the fall of walls enabling a flow between east and west) and will end February 2026 at 0Aires, which is a ‘world point’, meaning that everyone will feel that conjunction in one way or another. From a personal viewpoint we need to concretise our dreams by responsibly working selflessly as a channel for World Service, helping others within the world of seemingly endless suffering.

If you’re feeling disconnected, remember how music, dance, mantra, prayers, meditation, yoga – even swimming, art, theatre and film, are all constructive ways to enable Universal Prayer within the great collective unconscious, and ways in which we connect a personal hotline to the Divine. When we become channels for goodness and joy we can also perform better at work.

Saturn’s discipline makes it a marvellous time to sober-up in so many ways, saying ‘no’ to anything that creates dependency, and demarcates toxic environments to stay away from. Good to know this is also a 3x hit: January 31st – before Elemental New Year on 4th Feb; then on 18th June, which could bring an element of déjà vu for Solstice; and again November.

☆ Meanwhile, as the dramatic and fiery Leo Moon reaches full, we begin to wave goodbye to the elemental year of the Earth Dog, only to welcome the year of the Yin Earth Pig with a New Moon 4th Feb.

Basically this Full Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse offers self-confidence, artistic creativity, masses of healing, changes of plans, planning in relationship, and drama – with bucket loads of the latter. Geo-cosmic activity is also heightened (cyclones and hurricanes, flooding, fires, drought and quakes). Similarly, during the Supermoon, we too, experience heightened personal and inter-personal shifts: in perception, as well as inner and outer challenges.

A nod & thanks to Moon maestro Mr Richard Nolles for ‘Supermoon’ awareness. Remember how Full Moons last for three days; so we are looking at the 20th-21st-22nd for the Moon to be HUGE. Clear skies permitting, climb high to witness this enchanting Supermoon. Moonrise and Moonset are when she looks her largest. And give at least another few days for solar-lunar effects to subside, only calming after the last quarter, Jan 27th.

With that I wish all an enlightening SuperMoon, and until next month, when we will be celebrating miracles and magic, may all be well and may all be happy.
