Galactic LOVE ~> Full Moon in Aries 1°59’ ~ Tuesday 25th September 2018 @ 2:51UT

A Full Moon at Equinox, when we experience equal day – equal night around the globe, naturally ramps-up the electromagnetism between Sun-Moon and Earth. Such an intense energy exchange can also escalate our own personal magnetism. Indeed, our ability to magnetise in relationship is about to get a mega-boost when the alluring Love Goddess, Venus, goes retrograde in Scorpio October 6th. But that’s another love story, saved for later tales of 40 days and 40 nights.

Though romance does fill the air when the Sun is in Libra, life may already be extra-buzzy (and too busy) to fall head over heels in love, especially with the demands of your own affairs or the special someone, or even those who suck you into their world, into which you gravitate – and you don’t know why. Beware the latter. Remain self-aware. And stay mindful. This is a massively karmic Full Aries Moon, with potentially enduring consequences.

✰ Because this Full Moon falls on the one day of the year our Spirit Sun exactly connects with our Galaxy’s greater cosmic whole, things are about to get mind-blowingly psychedelic, as the ‘Peace & Love’ Libra Sun aligns with the heart of a massive super-cluster of Galaxies, to which our Galaxy, the Milky Way, belongs. The name of this home super-galactic cluster is ‘Laneakia’, which is Hawaiian for ‘Immeasurable Heaven’. As Spirit Sun now illuminates our connection to the vastness of space, we, too, may be drawn to see those lines we define ourselves by and the protective barriers we erect, often though fear or pain, around our self, our families, our towns or nations, can all fade into insignificance upon appreciating how we really are a part of a hyper-gigantic unified force, connecting billions of light-years across the cosmos, all the way to planet Earth.
Yet everything is relative. Even when travelling through the awesomeness of space, which spaceship Earth is doing at 67,000 miles an hour, unless you want to fall out of your seat, it’s still important to put on one’s metaphoric safety belt. And herein lies one of this Full Moon’s many challenges: when to knuckle-down and buckle-up, and when to fly free.

✰··✰··✰··✰··✰··  Full Moon Aspects ✰··✰··✰··✰··✰··
Thankfully, during a Full Moon brimming with the dramatic tension of endings and beginnings – and a certain kind of magic - there several key pointers to help achieve a certain balance with those we love, and still get our own, and everyone else’s needs’ met.

1) As a Cardinal Square is activated between Libra Sun and Aries (Harvest) Moon and karmic Saturn in Capricorn, there are bound to be difficulties in finding both liberation AND stability, one or the other, but to experience both will take a rare kind of wisdom.

Whatever you are dealing with, the Moon’s association with Chiron suggests self-care is paramount before taking care of anyone or anything else – if only to be in tip-top condition and ready and ripe for action, and/or to keep feet on the ground and stop yourself from becoming moody, anxious or resentful. You know what the Air Steward says when traversing choppy sky: “look after yourself first, before taking care of the more vulnerable”.
2) The bright Libra Sun emanating peace, love, beauty and harmony isn’t enough, however. We have to embody equanimity for those in authority to show respect. Yes, you can jangle beads and wear flowers in your hair, even bandy waving placards in the face of injustice, but serious action is now called for, albeit in a cautious manner.

It is essential to communicate clearly about how much we care, about o with whom, and what we want do or to nurture. Make sure everyone now in your close circle remains informed. Otherwise, should things go wrong in any event we risk blaming others for any hurt, upset or obstacle we could encounter.

Because the artistic Libra Sun is with Mercury, planet of the mind, it’s even okay to sit on the fence for a while when making decisions. At least from that vantage point one has a painterly view, seeing both sides of any story – and any major choices will be the result of having looked the issue from every angle. But don’t dilly-dally too long, and be prepared to make interesting changes October 10th.

3) Whenever Luna is in Aries there is usually a cause to champion, and a rush to charge in where angels fear to tread. Be aware, however: an Aires Moon with Shamanic Chiron can be fast and furious, and idiotically clumsy. Only with personal responsibility, self-confidence and total self-awareness can we really be as autonomous as a Full Aries Moon suggests. With the Libra Sun providing emotional balance, one may avoid the danger of self-inflicting wounds which merely prove just how self-centred and childish we can be. Sorry if that sounds harsh. But when drama unfolds and action stations may no longer be a drill, we need to be able to act with certainty, understanding strengths, skills and limitations, and when we can rely upon others.

In point of astral Aries Moon fact, it’s time to be nice to that crazy inner-wild-child. Life can be unbelievably tough for many beings – even when we look at others and think they have it all (whatever ‘it’ is), there can be issues going on under the surface that carry the burden of suffering. The Aries Moon can live life like a battle field, so gentle-up now with Shaman Chiron, and any war-wounds that need a little more healing time and space.

✰ Under any difficult circumstance, the heavens now suggest that if we feel down we pick ourselves and to do what we need to support our self in relationship. Put on the symbolic Band-Aid if necessary, and try not to add more damage. Remember too, how Libran diplomacy is a currency that can be traded and bartered. Note how much more gets done with kind words. Rather than shouting or barking orders, be inspired by Keanu Reeves, who says If you have been brutally broken but still have the courage to be gentle to other living beings, then you're a badass with a heart of an angel.” Let the badass angel’s heart beat loud and strong right now.

4) As both Sun and Moon are in the tight Cardinal ‘T’ Square with taskmaster Saturn, now boosted by being at home in Capricorn, self-management and self-motivation go a long way, both at work, and play. Under pressure, events around a passionate Aries Moon can be fiery and volatile. Those in tune with the Full Aries Moon can quickly bounce back to swiftly regain composure however, to keep ones’ cool and be the reassuring person who can lead others if called for, or should problems arise.

✰ As the hierarchical ruler of Libra, Saturn is very dominant this Full Moon chart. As well as being the overlord for the current Fixed Cross, Saturn learns to come from heart is the way to create helpful karma.

Working situations could also require innovative quick-thinking as well as bucket loads of charm to achieve satisfaction. All-the-while Saturn urges us to keep an eye on distant goals and a long term 38-year cycles (1982-2020), especially when methodically overcoming obstacles.

5) The Grand Fixed Cross which shaped into being with the New Virgo Moon, 9th September is set to stay until the beginning of November, to remind us of the quality of light and life within our collective human soul. For a Grand Cross to stay so long is rare, so we have some time to make the most of what it has to offer: this particular Fixed Cross emanates issues of freedom and closeness, as liberating Uranus in earthy Taurus opposite an about-to-go-retrograde Venus in powerful Scorpio, crossed with the fated nodal axis in Leo-Aquarius; turning this of cross transformation one moves from being selfish to selflessness.

This Fixed Cross highlights a critical spiritual mass illumination, when we become aware of issues larger than one self. It is a time of no turning back, as collective Spiritual intuition permeates the noosphere with an understanding of the brilliance of the human spirit and soul, particularly in relation to the extent of solar, planetary, and galactic forces.

✰ Basically, now is the time to be aware of direction and influences, and get determined to not mess around too much. Use this current fixity to harness immovable intent. Unhook from old habits and find an inner freedom from being released  Also during the Fixed Cross it’s wise to develop an understanding of the plethora of system changes now taking place within the collective consciousness. Not that all systems are meant to be rigidly held in place all the time for anyone, including the light-worker spiritual warrior: rules are always made to be broken; but current celestial guidelines advise creating good karma and standing strongly in Spirit and developing intuition.

6) Another features in the Full Moon horoscope worthy of mention is the ‘Mystic Rectangle’, a pattern often referred to as the place of practical magic; in this case the Full Moon and Spirit Sun are with planetary protagonists from the Fixed Cross, as the Moon trines the destiny-fulfilling North Node, which then Sun Sextiles, as Sun trines the Mars, South Node Black Moon Lilith conjunction, which in sextile to the Moon. It’s a tightly bound box containing much spiritual juju.

While the Mystic Rectangle is generally helpful, raising the altruistic intention when dealing with issues of abandonment or aggression , and doing what is best for everyone, shows that compassion is actually a form of shamanic self-healing - for those giving and those receiving – everyone benefits from kindness.
And with that I wish you all a wonderful Equinox Full Moon. It would be also wonderful to see you at the upcoming C*I*A retreat in beautiful Uki, Australia, when we will be exploring how to connect and strengthen our personal connection to Spirit and Soul. Come! There are a few places left! And share in a place of beauty, trust and calm.

⊚ A Brave New Soul with the Disarming Charm ~> Full Aries Moon Oct 4 '17

“Listen to your anger, but don’t let it control you. Life is too short for that!” (12th Gyalwang Drukpa)
5 October 2017 ~ Sun in Libra ~ Full Moon 12°42’ Aries @ 18:40UT
☾☼☽ This fiery Full Moon is in Aries, a most innovative sign of the zodiac that has a reputation for inspiring the brave and strong, steamy and hot headed: being swift to rise for cause, competition or challenge, but just as quick to come down and, if somewhat clumsily, carry on whatever he or she is doing regardless. Handling this emotionally independent rocking and rolling during Thursday-Friday’s Full Aries Moon is all well and good if you have speedy Aries or other fire signs (Leo or Sagittarius) prominent in your horoscope, as fire flashes back to centre at the speed of light – and out again, not before zapping opponents with the disarming charm then dashing off swiftly onto another life-illuminating, heroic adventure.
☼ Other leading signs, such as Libra, Capricorn and Cancer, can take a lifetime of rumbling, seething or dithering before getting so fired-up. And in Libra’s current case, as the brilliant Sun in Libra is presently with the celestial messenger, Mercury, asking what everyone else thinks before making any major decisions might actually be worth something – a trick to maintaining successful relationships which we could all currently benefit from: to have information at one’s fingertips right now is actually a very good trait to have: because everyone needs to produce intelligent arguments to be taken seriously. More realistically, having what everyone needs to know at hand reveals a certain transparency that generates trust between people – which means people feel safer in negotiation – especially when the tendency with Mercury in Libra is to sit on the fence, seeing both sides, and still take time to decide. All the while Libra sweetens communication with pleasantries and curtesy. Decision making is never that easy for the sign of the scales, who insists upon weighing-up all options. Serenity seeking Libra knows, however, that true friendship is based on openness and TRUST; and keeping the peace often means achieving agreements in relationships where both or all parties benefit.
☼ Diplomatic Libra is a super-stylish Air sign that seeks harmony and balance in all spheres – and is especially cool and groovy in social situations; while Aries ignites the Fire element, inciting a spiritual warrior with a passion for the new into action. This combination of Air and Fire can also generate a lot of hot air. Something may well blow over this Full Moon. What, exactly? Well, volcanoes along the geophysical ‘Ring of Fire’ are already erupting – will that be enough to release any residual geophysical pressure (from the flares)? Or will there be more rumbling from a deep and demanding ‘T’ Square (Sun & Moon) to Pluto, Lord of the Underworld ? My understanding is that it’s good to err on the side of caution, even with an outward-bound high-energy Moon in Aries, go easy and seek help from professionals if needed. Bear in mind that while a heated Moon in Aries often has a short fuse, the smooth-talking Libra Sun can negotiate and pacify conflict with clever compromise and mediation.
This Full Moon is also the closest to the year’s September Equinox, which is traditionally a time of abundance, in hope and/or nourishment (though Harvest came early. As seasons change, so do our needs. It’s been a lunation of storms and flare-ups. At Equinox we witnessed hurricanes, earthquakes and no less than seven dramatic Solar X-Flares – the likes of which had not been seen since 2010! When Sun’s flares are Earth directed, then Mama Earth also shakes, rattles and rolls – and so do we; though how everyone ‘senses’ the intense energy of the flares depends upon individual levels of sensitivity as well as his or her particular situation and actions. Yet with a magic number of 7 Solar X-flares (almost unheard of!), one for every day of a solar week and colours of the rainbow, has meant supersonic Solar Winds have been carrying Sol’s electromagnetically charged ‘Light of Intelligence’ towards Earth for the past few weeks. As brilliant and beautiful auroras around Earth’s poles continue to testify (through the Full Moon) making this a magical, highly-charged, colourful moment in time.
Most noteworthy during this Full Moon is how both Venus and Mars in Virgo are now rosy morning stars, creating an innocent loving and healing union at the very same place the Sun occupied during its magnificent recent display of the X-flares. Sparks could again easily fly and kindle all kinds of ardour! Earthy Virgo Venus embraces an equally raunchy Mars, denoting an irresistible chemical attraction. So, at last, the ‘Cosmic Lovers’ come to meet again. These two planets haven’t been together for two years, since early November 2015, in these similar degrees of sensual, practical Virgo. Though Venus is astrologically considered to be in her 'fall' in Virgo, mixing wholesome meusili instead of magical Piscean mantra, she loves being of practical service. Together Venus and Mars are putting healthy pzazz back into love lives, albeit slightly a puritan version, with Virgo’s extra attentive punctilious eye for detail and desire to help, in the sense that many hands make light work. Again, check your own horoscope looking at 17-25 Virgo in regard to rolling up sleeves and getting on with the task in hand: putting the dynamic spark back into healing relationships (even if that relationship is with one’s ‘self’ i.e. within the areas of work or health). Perhaps an important relationship, project or diet regime began a couple of years ago, and could now do with an additional boost of warm, loving attention...
Now what’s different to back then, however, is how both ‘The Lights’, Sun and Moon, are intrinsically and astrologically connected to the Lover’s sacred union taking place on the same day as the Full Moon. The Lights, along with Venus and Mars, illuminate healthy, respectful, relationships in which we enjoy closeness in peace and love, knowing freedom in love, with the freedom to love. Time now to invite Virgo practicality and mark time on the calendar to be with loved ones, especially if you have been working too hard or, for whatever reason, have avoided getting close to those you love, then this is the moment to redress the balance and cosy up to friends and loved ones. This need to be love is astrologically supported in many ways: because Venus is Libra’s ruler, and Mars is the Aries ruler; i.e. the planet that rules the Libra Sun, Venus, is opposite the planet that rules the Aries Moon, Mars. Thus, with all personal planets working together it creates a positive potential to attain healthy loving relationships – all we need to remember to that by serving others in a practical manner, we also serve the pure wisdom Goddess who resides in us all (yes, even guys have a smart feminine side).
October’s Full Moon also picks up the same 12-13 degree of the years’ major retrograde stations of both Venus AND Jupiter. Venus, Goddess of Love, went all the way back to retrieve what she had been lacking – self love - early March, at 12° Aries. Then early June, Jupiter stationed retrograde at 13° Libra to grow the love for others. Check those degrees out too, as the Full Aries Moon now spotlights the very same place where Venus became more assertive (early March), all the while the Libra Sun currently basks for a last time in Jupiter’s boons and blessings.

♃ ~> Be aware that bountiful Jupiter is also about to change signs; from Libra to Scorpio on October 10th until November 2018; not to be seen again in Libra until 2018. Instead of developing romantic love in relationship, Jupiter in Scorpio now begins to expand our understanding of more intimate and delicate subjects such as psychological insights, sex, death, and what devious people do to not pay their taxes. This shift of emphasis from social to secret, and possibly snug, will come into sharper focus upon during November’s Full Moon. But for now Libra’s romance and partnership, finance and business, fashion and beauty remain under Jupiter’s starry beams for a few days more.
Other aspects to take into account in this Full Moon chart:
1) A Cardinal ‘T’ Square between Libra Sun opposite (180°) Aries Moon both in square (90°) Capricorn Pluto, creating a tense kind of stand-off. Though I don’t think nuclear war is upon us – not right now, and I hope it never comes. I say that primarily because Venus is with Mars right now and diplomacy can work wonders, as Mars always needs to disarm when seduced by Venusian charms. Venus and Mars are also in a helpful Trine Aspect to the powerful but enigmatic Pluto: a show of diplomatic strength is called for to reach agreement in any kind of dispute with difficult, omnipotent characters. Pluto also recently stations to go forward when conjunct a Fixed Star ‘Rukbat’, indicating a path taken to evolve will be a sure and steady transformation. It’s a kind of corporate makeover that could take years to transpire.
2) A Mutable ‘T’ Square between the entwined Virgoan, Mars & Venus, opposite Shamanic Chiron in Pisces, all in T-Square to Saturn in Sagittarius: magically shape-shifting into various different forms until we find our ability to heal powerful but difficult emotions. Astral clue: this Mutable squares ramp up the universal LOVE-WISDOM for faith, love and commitment to work wonders when personally overcoming fear and envy.
3) At the time of the Full Moon, both Sun and Moon also make ‘adjustment’ aspects to Neptune, planet of miracles and magic, scapegoats and martyrs: the Aries Moon makes a short semi-sextile, while the Libra Sun throws a longer quincunx. Both aspects suggest that in order to make our relationships really zing, our spiritual understanding requires a little fine-tuning to find that being love is truly the Divine incarnate. Indeed, it may take until the New Moon in Libra October 19th to see how pure, unadulterated love shows we have the power to truly forgive and accept the past, at the same time be willing to open the heart to a dynamic and spiritually-fulfilling future – one where all beings get their needs met.
☼☽ One last note: because this is technically ‘Equinox Full Moon’, even though later than usual as we are already in October, it IS the Full Moon that will seem to start early and finish later than the usual three-day influence: this one shines above our heads for five-nights!
Enjoy! Wishing for clear skies! With Love on the moonbeams,

☽ ☉ ✫ Sun Capricorn ♑/♋ Full Moon Cancer Jan 12th ✫ ☽ ☉

Strength & Stability ~ Solidarity & Success

Like a Mother looks after her child, the Moon at home in Cancer provides a place of protection, a sanctuary from the chaos of fast-changing times, and an anchor in rough emotional seas. Take comfort with this first full Moon of 2017, the Full Cancer Moon, as it stimulates our ability to awaken the Divine Mother (within each of us), to show care and consideration in love, unconditional and pure, for all beings, at home, at work, in partnership and with friends.

At home in Cancer, and exact Thursday 12th January, at 11:34am GMT, this Full Moon is not just any old reassuring the kids with mom’s apple pie kind-of-moon, as Luna moves into an extremely rare formation as she culminates, to revisit historic and astrologically exciting moments of 2010 – reminding us of the burgeoning stages of this currently spiritual era. For those who cynically question the validity of the transcendent and mystic, only giving weight to the plutonic overbearing forces of evil or chaos at work, be aware that when a light begins to shine, darkness often mobilises and many obstacles and difficulties come creeping out of the shadows – as indicated by the Sun currently conjunct Pluto, all of which is now given the Full Moon spotlight treatment. For a few short days little can remain hidden, however hard it tries.

Events or situations around this exceptional Full Moon offer an astral opportunity to bring light and karma, self and others, into focus; to create safer boundaries that enable one to work within a sacred space within a configuration called a ‘Grand Cross’. To give you an idea of the rarity of any Cross formation, these only happen around four percent of the time. This Full Moon is therefore rather special, even if such potency is fleeting, lasting only for the three Full Moon days – and nights, then the planetary pattern reverts to a tense T-square. Although, it might be helpful to note here how my teacher, the late great Howard Sasportas, taught that we extend a T-square into the empty leg when looking to stabilise, or for ways out of any difficult circumstance. Its good, therefore, to bear in mind how this Moon position, at 22°Cancer, while sensitive to aggression also brims with courage and militant tenacity, so that confronting challenging issues can be made easy with a bolthole to retreat into.

It’s also worth knowing how every Cross has one of three different characteristics, representing the various qualities of the signs of the Zodiac: Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable. A cross occurs when two sets of planets are in opposition; the four planets therefore form a perfect square in the heavens, which is then called a ‘Grand Cross’. This particular Cross is no ordinary Cross either. In Esoteric Astrology, this particular set of oppositions carries the glorious title: the ‘Grand Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun’, because four planets are in the four Cardinal signs: Uranus in Aries, Moon in Cancer, Jupiter in Libra, and Sun with Pluto in Capricorn. In a Grand Cardinal Cross, revolutionary Uranus is THE agent of change in self-directed Aries, at 20°; all the while it is Jupiter at 22°, in harmonious Libra, that offers a compromising synthesis. This is, without doubt, a dynamic Cross of action, of making things happen, by oneself, with others, colleagues and loved ones, and of allowing the power of the Divine within to rise and make itself known (Need I say not in an egotistical manner? This Cross accents a spiritual Sun, not an identity driven one). Remember that when you see the Divine in everything, everything becomes Divine. You see, the heavens are now asking us to work with greater devotion to the sacred and care for everything around us, with greater cooperation with others as we co-create with the universe, noting now how we have moved away from negative habits and developed more helpful ways of being these past seven years, since twenty-ten.

Admittedly, a ‘Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun’ is intense – all Crosses are. This one is about getting to core issues – subjects that affect your very spirit, the work you are doing and your purpose. And when the Sun and the Moon are major players within a Grand Cross, most everyone gets to feel the rising tension of some sort or another, a momentum that peaks with the Full Moon. But just as soon as Luna culminates the effects will also begin to diminish as the Moon begins to wane.

The Capricorn Sun with Pluto also highlights the need for personal and professional transformation: to be reborn. Rising like a Phoenix from the ashes may well be the theme for the coming year of the Fire Rooster, as this Full Moon sets the initial tone for 2017. This, then, is no ordinary Full Moon: it’s a Full Moon with the potential to awaken personal wisdom, and to illuminate the (collective) subconscious, which can then empower one to transform, including innovative ideas into accomplished action. ✫

☩ Cardinal Grand Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun ☩ August 2013

_/♥\_ Whilst out stargazing tonight, being blessed with glorious shooting stars from this weekend’s Perseid’s shower, it might inspire to bear in mind how tonight’s sky also fleetingly embraces the powerful ‘Cardinal Grand Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun’. This rare configuration now occurs when planets, such as today's moon, are in Libra (where Venus will activate 26thAug). ☩  The Cross symbolizes critical spiritual mass, and sparked a collective spiritual evolution exactly three years ago, August 2010 – when the courageous Leo Spirit Sun was also passing through the constellation of heroic Perseus.

☩  In 2010 a spectacular Grand Cross activated the earliest degrees of the dynamic Cardinal signs, indicating a new collective awareness (as well as stressing the need for wholesome change in the midst of communal crisis – emotional, economic and environmental). Now we are looking at 8-16 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn in the celestial spotlight until at least April 2014. This Cardinal Cross of Central Spiritual Sun motivates the Divine Will of the Whole to be in accord with cosmic Love-Light.

☩  Holding the vertical (midnight/midday) axis of the cross, expansive Jupiter, now exalted in Cancer, synthesises humanity’s hope and needs as it makes the 1st of 3 oppositions to metamorphic Pluto in Capricorn, suggesting a valiant transformation of resources for sustainable future stability. Balancing the horizontal, sunrise-sunset axis of the cross is the awakening planet, Uranus, in dynamic Aries (also the agent of the cross); opposite the harmonious Libra moon, everyone feels the need for positive change. As all four signs work together to direct towards our Spiritual centre, it enables core location so that we can rest in Divinity, a place Buddhism calls 'our Buddha nature'. _/♥\_

LEO ~ Cardinal Cross ~ Evolution of Divine Light

Leo~Leo Asc ©
3rd Solar house Saturn-Mars-Venus in Libra (August/Sept 2010)
6th Solar house Pluto in Capricorn
9th Solar house Jupiter/Uranus Aries
(Retrograde into Pisces until Feb/Mar 2011)
12th Solar house Moon in Cancer

Active, with a strong radiant vitality, as indicated by being ruled by the dynamic life-giving Sun, Leos’ possess a wonderfully bright disposition which affords brilliance in any circumstance.  For the dazzled rest of us, we marvel at your splendour, wanting to know the secret of confidence.

According to Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche: “Developing confidence is like watching the sun rise. First it seems very feeble and one wonders whether it will make it. Then it shines and shines. Confidence is not about arrogance or pride. It is a natural unfolding process. It's not a question of needing confidence or not needing it. It's naturally there. In fact, we actually don't have to develop confidence. It's more that we have to acknowledge the confidence that already exists.”

Confidence is thus a natural ability to ‘be’ comfortable in one’s skin. Like the Sun, its just 'there'. But in actuality is more easily generated by those who have had the good fortune to be loved and unconditionally adored and appreciated in childhood. Leo is the sign of children. So if you’re that rare Leo beastie who has ‘self’ issues, a monthly delve into the feeling–orientated world of personal ancestry might not go amiss, as the Moon transits Cancer to invoke the compassionate benefits of the Cardinal Cross formation, so your Sun ruled personality will glow and grow and shine freely.

With Saturn (Venus & Mars) in your third house of communication, noting how the mind works, riding upon breath as Spirit’s vehicle, to give you more confidence. Healthy breathing is encouraged to stay calm and alert. Saturn in this sphere of information suggests difficulties in getting your point across can be overcome when you present yourself clearly, with authority, and prove how wise you are, as well as how much you are willing share ideas and learn.

When it comes to love and romance, Leo is the sign of a heart brimming with joyful fun, of playing on the beach laughing about how the sand gets trapped between your toes with a carefree smile and generous loving gestures. While your playful inner-child happily tells jokes and is thoroughly charming, there is currently another side to Leo which is actually quite serious, deadly even – especially at this moment in time when it comes to telling it like it is, especially to new suitors. With assertive Mars plus authoritative Saturn in this area of communication, you may not be in the mood for small talk, nor flattering anyone’s fragile ego.  The combination of these planets indicates how important it is you seek ways to smooth romantic relations in a realistic manner. With Venus currently here for a few more weeks, every loveable Leo may find being diplomatic is the only way to go. Be a people pleaser by finding peaceful solutions that allows forgiveness to flow, even when this Cross makes its’ tricky aspects. When seeking the ‘Real Thing’ now is not the time to go for a lover’s looks, concentrate instead on brains, mental stimulation and strength of character.

During the monthly moments of the exact Cardinal Cross make time to be by yourself so you can relax, meditate, and access the Divine within.  This kindness to yourself means that you can once and for all forget whoever it is from the past that haunts you. So get ready to move on into a whole new loving dimension, which is real, solid and fulfilling.

Saturn will encourage the need for original ideas. Now is the time to let the world know what you have to offer. Should you have your own business and you’re looking for more, while now is the time to get it up and get it noticed you still need to be patient. With long-term vision and determination, a well thought out media-blitz means greater profit in the future.

With Uranus and Jupiter in Aries in your sphere of philosophy, religion and travel, awakening to new cultures gives life great meaning. This same domain also rules higher education, so study and walking the halls of learning will also seriously broaden your horizons.  Remember that both planets are now in retrograde, going back to revist your sphere of intimacy. You now have a second chance to look at how you share your secret self. When both planets return to your solar 9th, Feb/March, your drive for expansion will also resume.

Even though working closely with another may be a point of obsession, keep a positive focus. Neighbourhood events could be pleasantly distracting. While energy levels look high, with humility balancing confidence, you also need to look after yourself, physically as well as psychologically – with Pluto activating a transformation in the Lion’s daily routine, taking care of mind, body and soul becomes paramount. For a confident Leo, self-image is important. Try not to make too much of any drama out of any fleeting (financial) crisis. Generally speaking your energy radiates brilliantly; it is good to be aware how too much thinking create stress. Learn to tame the mind as you would the ego. Should tension levels being to rise, nip them in the bud as soon as you recognise the fist sign of worry, and make looking after yourself a priority. Remember Shantideva’s advice: If there is something that you can do to alleviate any given problem then do it. And if there is nothing that you can do, then why worry? It is true that we are all in a major phase of collective transformation, where there are many changes going down in the world that affect each of us differently. You, for instance, may find you have to reconsider the way you think about things by discovering new ideas, new people and possibly even have to reassess your belief system, so that you can build faith in your intuition. The stars of the Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun therfore urge Leo to radiate Divine light, tame the mind, and love themselves and others. And, on a relative level, get mega organised to learn from life’s powerful experiences, so that you unconditionally shine.

For the cosmic overview click on the
Cardinal Cross of the Central Spritual Sun
Scorpio’s ruler Pluto is mega active in this Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun. Pluto now resident in the 3rd house of the communication represents nothing short of a radical transformation of the mind (Lojong = mind training in Tibetan). This means over the coming years, (until 2024 to be precise!) you’ll be learning how to replace all kinds of negative thoughts with positive ones, all kinds of harmful intention with helpful intent, and all kinds of thoughtless actions with mindful behaviour.  While you might think you have all the time in the world to complete this unusual celestial request, the current zeitgeist is on fast-track.  So there is little time to waste in changing your attitude, and delving into the psychological melting pot called ‘the dualistic mind’ and setting your special insight on nothing short of ENLIGHTENMENT so that you can radiate your light in a blissful field of consciousness.

Up until now you could have been dealing with more materialistic quests, but the deeper you delve into the magic of the expansive mind, you could begin to realise that there is more to this world than money and stuff, even if they do have fashionable logos attached to them. By all heavenly accounts your view is changing, growing and spacious; and you now have the celestial go-ahead to mould your thoughts and change the way your brain thinks to develop a mind of consciousness.  But in order for a new way of thinking to take hold, you first have to release into the void any nihilist tendency, emotional density, or obsessive mindset. Resistance to letting go is futile. Holding on to desperate dreams and illusions, reliant on sex, security and stimulation - or prying into the lives of others as a means of distraction, won’t work. With karmic Saturn in his joy in the 12th house, you have to grab the whole shebang and stop the cyclic karma from constantly repeating bad habits: Through the power of a mind in clear light (radiating beyond the quantum entanglement) you will realise how thoughts have wings and every little flutter across the screen that show’s the mind’s projection has a vibration – albeit subtle. But the more subtle the energy, the longer it lasts. So while you’re in the midst of this once-in-every-seven-life-times transformation, remember that most of our daily thoughts are just machinations of the previous days’.  If you are gripped by destructive emotions it’s more difficult to climb out of negative spiral, unless you make a conscious effort.

One of the subjects swirling about your mental merry-go-round: what exactly is it about seeming thankless activities that attracted you in the first place. With Jupiter and Uranus in your house of service you may want to throw out certain tasks completely, and totally turn around your daily routine. This you are duty bound to do.  But before you set a new routine into place, there is a spiritual wisdom to be fully assimilated: the path of Zen. Accepting the ordinary as you would the extraordinary is the way of the equanimous mind.  The human mind is not liberated by getting bogged down by competitive ambition or by slavishly hooked into desire of having faith eroded by worry. The stars now say ‘Never Give Up’ being at peace. Remain optimistic and be kind to yourself: give yourself a few months to really get to grips with all the changes taking place, both in your daily life, and within your own questioning mind, and make the most of a new-found freedom in your ordinary world: play with it, lightly and gently, and be where calm abides. The demands of balancing Uranus and Jupiter in the 6th with Saturn in the 12th solar house, being of practical service combined with world, universal service, require that you make friends with your ego and surrender self into oneness.

"One of the most effective ways to overcome anxiety is to try to shift the focus of attention away from self and toward others. When we succeed in this, we find that the scale of our own problems diminishes. This is not to say we should ignore our own needs altogether, but rather that we should try to remember others' needs alongside our own, no matter how pressing ours may be." --- His Holiness the Dalai Lama

With your ruler powerful Pluto, now squaring up to restrictive Saturn in the sphere of your scope that urges you to realise how certain situations are beyond your control, this could make you feel quite uncomfortable; and when the Moon makes her monthly opposition to Pluto you could feel as though you are cut off at this Cardinal crossroad, not quite knowing which way to go. Even so, as Pluto is in the sphere of public relations and communication: you are urged to examine all kinds of ideas in a rational new way aligning mind to the Divine; this position of Pluto in regards to Saturn suggests you must also learn TRUST in your deepest feelings: Go to your CENTRE, let intuition guide you.  That way, you know you are being true to yourself. Should you get stressed, make and take time out to relax.

For all Scorpios, the greatest lesson in love is to love unconditionally, surrendering to the Divine’s sacred heart. This most honourable manner of relating could be easier said than done; and one which often gets overlooked with - and by – Scorpio, whose magnetic and sexy reputation tends to precede them wherever they go.

Everyone tends to want something from loved ones in one form or another. It might be a cuddle, a lift to the shops, a helping hand here and some reassurance there – Apart from a mother’s unconditional love, rarely do two people completely accept each other as they are, being in each other’s company and able to give selflessly without asking for anything in return. Yet now is the time for Scorpio to learn how to put aside power games, and to be totally one hundred percent involved with the cosmic love vibration, bringing joy and peace to everyone (and not just your lover) as a mother would her child. For the single Scorpio this means that when assessing potential partners (and this could happen anytime) look for someone to trust, someone who can love all you for all your foibles; someone who can enjoy sharing your deeply profound emotions and your longing to overcome the lust of the distracted mind. For the Scorpio in relationship, adjusting to new ways of being with your loved one could mean that you take the lead with higher aspirations, the road less travelled, with divinity at your core.  This is bound to require mindful awareness on your part, and you could be tempted to revert to old games of wild drama and high stress, and possibly lose sleep in the process. But all Scorpios must beware not to misinterpret divine love for idolising their beloved; it only makes the deified icon lonely.  With your ruler Pluto in the versatile solar 3rd, a part of you could enjoy being totally open and honest about your intentions, while another side might  close-off and become the happy geek tucked safely away out of sight, so others will not expect too much from you.  The stars say you can have it both ways: it’s just a matter of timing. Try not to sweat the small stuff so much of time, and allow your self to enjoy the looming bigger picture and the path to liberation, to infinity and beyond.

A good celestial timing exercise is to check back in your diary to the end of July: note which area of life has dramatically grown, changed or morphed. Has it been your ideas? A pyscholigcal revelation? A person? Your work load? Or a life-changing event? One way or another, these past weeks will have shown exactly which sphere of daily life are currently up for development.  The only quick spiritual fix is found on the meditation cushion: Be patient before this period of expansion comes to an end in a year or so - stay in the present, as for the next few months it may be necessary to first go backwards, in order to then go forwards. This back flip is due to spacious Jupiter going into retrograde motion, giving you space to reassess your world. This is good, as it gives you a chance to revise certain subjects that could have recently shocked you into clarity. Something else to look forward to while Jupiter retrogrades is how an old creativity could revive itself, or an old flame could be rekindled. The chances are that you could well be tempted to relight any fire, at the very least you can re-friend. In many ways the heavens keep pointing to a pivotal point in your personal evolution and development, especially when it comes to appreciating the way you re-organise, approach and deal with matters.  So while the celestial climate is one of creative tension, and you might be on the verge of stressing out, worrying about what you know (or don’t know), and whether you’re simply up for the job, try to see any karmadrama as a chance to go beyond into a place of acceptance and calm. Even if you reach a make or break point (again!), be aware how you could let simple things become a major challenge – and now you are letting all that go. It could be something as daft as a neighbour, friend, or sibling that sets your mind racing. The relevant secret to handling much of the madness modern Samsara throws one’s way is to learn how to breathe, and, at the same time create an escape route to a peaceful haven so that you can access your Central Spiritual Sun. Breath is the mind's vehicle which connects to Divine Spirit. Make sure during this time of the Cardinal Cross that if you are putting-in the hours in other areas, you also make time for pampering mind, body and soul to attain unity with the DIVINE. Meditation, yoga, singing, and dancing to your favourite music, are all ways to relax the overworked mind and reconnect to your centre and elevate your beautiful Scorpio spirit in supreme bliss.

Cardinal Cross of the Central Spritual Sun

In true Sagittarius optimistic style you could be totally in your element throughout this period of the Cardinal Cross: immersed in intense and dramatic events that demand you expand consciousness and grow into your fullest potential.  Your ruler, beneficent Jupiter, is intricately involved with this tight celestial formation in the early Cardinal degrees, tying together intimacy and finances, friends and romance. This combination of all: love, money and pals, could become a knotty problem if you choose to avoid being the visionary that you are destined to be. Freedom - as in having the freedom to think, move, speak, and to be free from fear and want, is your driving force.

For someone usually independent and self-confident, who exudes a crazy kind of wisdom, you could also sense that you now need to align with kindred spirits of a more practical nature.  Saturn currently in the sphere of hopes and wishes suggest your pragmatic association means you can be part of something valuable, serving the wider collective with a high Bodhisattva ideal. Indeed, Saturn in Libra, the sign of harmony and love residing in a place which exudes optimism and hopefulness suggests altruism that comes from the heart.  As Saturn is now with the relationship planets, Venus and Mars (August 2010), also in this sector of co-operative alliances, you may also find there’s also an attraction to people in a position of power and authority. This is good, BUT make sure any target of your affection is also available, as Saturn can encounter complications; perhaps time plays a karmic factor, as in out of time, or not enough time.  Nonetheless, with Saturn in Libra, relationship plays an enormous role during the Cardinal Cross. Any association must now afford you the autonomy that allows passion to flare and love to grow; for this is the way your central spiritual Sun will radiate.

Throughout the coming year, as it has been for some time, aromantic world is full of surprises.  In many ways life is what we make it; and as you see the best in everyone and everything around you, you will also excel even in dramas not of your own making.  A Centaur already aware of how love is a constantly moving , circular process, could renew commitment in front of friends, so you can a) show everyone just how loyal and loving you are, and b) have a good excuse for a party.

On a more serious note, the planet that packs a mighty punch, Pluto, now retrograde in zodiacal bank, is making a challenging aspect to your ruler Jupiter (also retrograde); this places you face-to-face with personal and financial responsibilities, and birthing new earthly creation by cutting back and letting go. Now is the time to become pure love with a light heart, taking care of old problems with a renewed sense of doing things. From the humanitarian perspective any work you undertake could be very enjoyable.

With an eye on the main chance, Sagittarians are often more willing than most to take a risk. Yet while your ruler, optimistic Jupiter makes this challenging connection to powerful Pluto, the planet of shared assets, in your valuable fiscal sector, you’d do well to count to ten before making any serious outlay of your own. Co-create and co-operate: Learn to value what you have to give and vice versa, share what you value. Going it alone could be three steps back and it may be a long time – several months – until you noticeably go forward again. Stay alert and seize that moment!

This is no ordinary period of time: Be prepared to experience all kinds of thrills and spills. Munificent Jupiter conjoined awakening Uranus some time ago in your solar 5th house, blessing the heart of romance, fun, and creativity: You may be getting used to being perceived as prophetic, benevolent and slightly outrageous.  By allowing the heart to remain in the present, whilst open to an uncanny ability to project into the future (which may be a source of frustration and tension for a stuck-in-the-mud traditionalist, who refuses to move with the times); far-sighted thinking will ignite a spark that fires-up imagination, providing fuel that attracts new people and new tribes, also giving you a cool and calm cache, so those with influence will want to engage with this loving, trusting, spiritual you. As an aside, a close relationship offers a way to invest deeply rewarding activity that transforms your life and, at the same time, provide lasting security. Bear in mind how Jupiter repeats this planetary pattern again in February, and it is of similar strength, so it could take a while for you to find balance and meaning in your life’s work.  Meanwhile, enjoy the natural tenderness that comes from being with kith and kin, which in Buddhist terminology is the triple gem: Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.

In actuality, deep in your heart-of- hearts, these issues of freedom which you are drawn to explore, without any attachments to hold you back is the same carefree attitude, coupled with a current love of wanting to do whatever you put your mind to, that will actually take you the places that you dream of - ultimately allowing you to find your central Spiritual Sun, through valuing liberating truth and selfless love.  When the Moon in Cancer makes her monthly appearence in your domain of tantra, aligning heart to mind  deepens faith and provides karmic insight.
