❤ Tara Moon ~ Medicine Buddha ~> 17th August 2014

Sun in Leo square Last quarter Moon in Taurus…

"With the realization of one’s own potential and self-confidence in one’s ability, one can build a better world. According to my own experience, self-confidence is very important. That sort of confidence is not a blind one; it is an awareness of one’s own potential. On that basis, human beings can transform themselves by increasing the good qualities and reducing the negative qualities." ~ His Holiness the Dalai Lama, from 'Dalai Lama's Book of Wisdom'

In astrology, the radiant Sun is symbol of the self, exuding warmth, confidence and courage. The Sun is still currently at home in these last degrees of fiery Leo, so you’d think we could all be shiny, happy people having fun. But during this past week or so, karmic Saturn has made tricky aspects to both Spirit Sun and the sensitive Moon making it feel like we are wading through treacle, slowing us down to focus upon what’s important, especially when trying to move ahead and create dynamic change. This is not to say we cannot manifest the transformations and adjustments we wish, but whenever task master Saturn is prominent, as it is for a while yet (to be conjunct active Mars with the New Virgo Moon August 25th) that we should be patient with tough karmic lessons, appreciating what we learn within each present moment, particularly when working towards goals.

At this last quarter exalted Taurus Moon, the Lights, the Leo Sun & Moon, encourage us to be realistic and return to source. Taurus Moon exalts the Divine Feminine, to unconditionally nurture and build strength and stamina, quietly polishing and stabilizing our inherent and glistening Buddha nature, to positively gleam with the clear light mind.

Thanks to Green Tara, Goddess who quickly removes obstacles and whose mantra is ‘Om Tara Tutare Ture Soha’ _/\_

BeLOVEed Bees ~ April 2013

The big news this side of the Atlantic is how we’re celebrating European Union's ban on bee-harming pesticide (for two years, giving the bees a chance to recover and prove the pesticide destroys their colonies). Quite apart from almost 3 million signatures on one petition alone, there are several astrological factors which went in the bees favour, which I thought might be of interest to my fellow sky dancers.

In astrology, Bees are ruled by Jupiter, the benevolent sky god; the expansive King of the Olympians, Jupiter, is currently in hard aspect to Chiron, the wounded healer now in Pisces. The negative expression of the sign of the fish is toxicity, i.e. poisons. Thus now is time to heal all the sky god rules, BIG time, i.e. the Bees have a reprieve.

Interestingly karmic Saturn is presently found close to Spica in the night sky. Spica is a royal star attributed to the wheat sheaf in the hand of the Virgin Goddess. Now Saturn & Spica work together, he the reaper, she the fertile vessel of a ripened harvest. There is currently more than a grain of truth in the old adage "As we sow, so shall we reap..."

Also important to note this ban on the pesticide is happened under the auspice of Sun/Mars in down-to-earth Taurus, opposite karmic Saturn now in plutocratic Scorpio: Authority must see a financial gain, as well as a practical one.

One last observation is how we have Sun, Mars, Venus and the South Node, all in bountiful Taurus; as a lover of the good life, the Bull is the sign of food and flowers, and the gentle reminder of how common sense rules and the good life can be so simply achieved. ~> May all bees be healthy & free to buzz and create the divine nectar, honey.

Earthdance~Medicine Buddha Moon

☼ At the stroke of twelve midnight in London tonight (4pm pacific) over 300 dancefloors in 60 countries unite at the same time to generate a positive intention, while the 'Prayer for Peace' is played simultaneously. This kind of heartfelt objective is powerful. Wherever we are, even at the computer, or in our own sitting room, we can join and raise the vibration and radiate peace to the world, and harness the positive purpose of the planets:

☼ In the midst of peace, happiness and a beautiful community spirit, a solid sense of responsibility radiates from this year’s Sun in Libra Earthdance astrological chart. The triple Aquarian conjunction of beneficent Jupiter, curative Chiron, and Divine Neptune, sends a powerful celestial message: that immense transformational healing can be reached through a critical spiritual mass, by elevating group consciousness to feel the cosmic love vibration. At the moment of the ‘Prayer for Peace’, a Medicine Buddha Moon beams healing blue light, to bring in and hold positive remedial qualities: Harmonising past with future destiny enables one to embrace change with a collective understanding that combines science and magic, rational and intuitive, youth and age, to co-create a sustainable Earth.

☼ At the same time, brilliant altruistic values resonate with compelling discipline; wanting to make the world a better place is strengthened by acknowledging personal freedom and trusted, heartfelt friendships. An Elders Council, backed by the Spirit of the Sun with authoritative Saturn, as Lord of Karma, provides much-needed support detailing the importance of the task ahead – which is nothing short of healing our beleaguered planet - and acts as a gentle reminder of the need to unconditionally forgive those who have been a part of past negative policy. The power of prayer is mighty indeed, and compassion compelling. The overwhelming impression that emerges from this 13th Earthdance is how aware, pragmatic and wise we can be in order to overcome fear and empower the true nature of the creative human Spirit. Enjoy. Peace. ♥ ☼ ♥

Saturn direct & the Raven

Yesterday I met an inspirational Raven in the Cevennes Mountains. His watchful eye fixed upon our approach, and as this bewitching bird spread his massive wings to fly we could see he was bigger than the Bonelli’s, the local eagle, with a wingspan of maybe 4 feet, he knew exactly where he was going. Black Raven is Saturn’s bird; and this encounter felt like a direct message from Saturn himself.

Realistic Saturn, symbol of responsibility, cause and effect, is now at station 14 Virgo, and about to go forward from having being retrograde in Virgo since New Year’s Eve. Which means that all year we have been collectively reworking issues of authority, discipline, and karma by going over old ground in order to go forward. Saturn’s lessons maybe slow but are none the less magical, tainted by patience, acceptance, and fortitude.

Raven is also one of the most intelligent birds, associated with thought and memory, past and future. Links to fate are inextricable, as Raven flies into the void to retrieve necessary wisdom. From Sunday 17th May we may find it easier to reap rewards for the hard work we have done so far this year – re-treading an old path can lead to new views.

Mythology abounds about Ravens, death and rebirth a popular theme: the smaller Corvus corax cousin, the Crow, has even been associated with the birth of many Dalai Lamas, including our treasured Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama.
