☆ Perfect Bliss ~ Full Moon 3°12’ Pisces 2018

Perfect Bliss ~ Full Moon 3°12’ Pisces @11:55UT
Sunday 26th August 2018

Whenever the Sun is in Virgo there’s an inclination to strive for perfection. The perfect dream, partner, poem, job, school, or home, the Virgo Goddess (within) urges everyone to be the best they can by remaining informed, aware, and wholeheartedly practical. In a world of disarray, Virgo so often sets about helping and serving others to realise a healthy purity in mind, body and spirit: physically, through diet and regime; mentally, through intellectual inquiry and life-style; and, perhaps most importantly, maintaining a healthy spirit by fully engaging in the present, learning from the past, but not being bound by what’s been – or coming-up – just plain old in the ‘here and now’.
You’ve heard the maxim ‘Chop wood, carry water’ in reference to taking care of personal daily needs at the same time finding pleasure in daily life – even after realising ‘enlightenment’. Well, it is Virgo, as Sacred Goddess, that has the immediate ability to elevate everyday chores to make the divine ordinary and the ordinary blissfully divine: so the most mundane thoughts or tasks become a means to accomplishment. And as the Full Moon Virgo Sun radiates at the apex of rare astrological formations, best keep life hyper-real and surmount any inhibition that limits self-expression or the actualisation of potentialities – plural.

Living in multi-dimensional times, waves of potential ripple and ride through the deepest undercurrents of mass collective consciousness, brought to light now with an oceanic Moon in magical Pisces. Be aware that unless you have the ability to intuitively recognise fantasy from actual, the relative from the ultimate – easier said than done – one could waste many precious moments and be manipulated or swept along by the promise of glamour and glitz from a spellbinding snake-oil salesman, when the ‘real’ thing is actually much more enchanting.

Under such mesmerising circumstance, the practical Virgoan ‘power of now’ is paramount, in order to remain healthy and ‘grounded’, i.e. practical, stable, and reliable. Not grounded in the North American meaning that you can’t go out because you’ve been naughty in any way! But ‘grounded’ as in centred within one’s self, rooted in daily ritual, connected to Mother planet Earth. Nurtured by the bounty of the Virgo Earth  Goddess a distinctly feminine and spiritual perception of beauty and wisdom currently stimulates the imagination, accentuating the bliss discovered within music, dance, yoga, theatre, art, film, mantra, meditation, prayer; all of which can eliminate the toxic or negative: confusion, delusion, addiction.

Back now to those rare aspects in the chart of this Virgo Sun, Full Moon in Pisces:

1) A Grand Earth Trine
A Grand Trine formation has three planets 120° apart that contains goodness and cooperation. Now accenting planets in the three Earth signs, this Grand Earth trine gives strength to Uranus in Taurus, the Sun in Virgo, accenting Spirit in service, and Saturn at home in Capricorn. Our environment also comes under astral focus – as does our work, well-being, and social standing. All these rather materialistic topics are impacted by personal input and actions. For instance, Uranus now in Taurus suggests leaps and bounds when dealing with alternatives within our individual and collective value system: i.e. how we care for our (techno) things, land, food and housing; Spirit Sun in the sign of the Virgin, at the apex of the stabilising Trine (AND the apex of the Finger of God – more on that in a moment!) advocates a certain devotion to all we are, and all we think and do – not with Leo razzmatazz (although some mercurial types won’t be able to resist the drama), but a down to earth expediency gets the job done; all the while Saturn in Capricorn indicates reliability, diligence and karmic rewards.

Keeping the faith and working thoughtfully and methodically now accomplishes much more than rushing at something with misguided hope (When planets turn direct quite a few ideas and plans spin into action.). But when three planets harmonise together in such a way as a Grand Earth Trine, the heavens suggests it is a lot easier now than it has been for quite a while, for taking individual responsibility for the kind of personal change and development that leaves behind some diehard old habits, even with a subtle change of routine

Though it has to be said that the Trine between Saturn & Uranus never actually perfects, as Time Lord Saturn has now picked-up speed, all-the-while Uranus goes retrograde ( heading back to revisit Aries from November to March (going forward January 6th 2019); now is the time to integrate the cutting edge into traditional scenarios.

The rejuvenating qualities of the feminine Grand Earth Trine Shakti power lasts almost a whole month; the Full Moon’s Grand Trine-Kite is the celestial icing on a fairy tale cake. It also comes with reminder how not to indulge too much, nor wear yourself out or take your eye off the ball, lest you miss a wonderful opportunity to put some sparkle into life. Take note how Grand Trines - and Kites, for that matter - carry fantastic positive potential, all of which can be frittered away in a moment’s distraction. So hone your insights skills now!

2)  Yin Kite - Earth-Water
A ‘Kite’ shape occurs when one planet in a triangle formation – the Virgo Sun in this case, which makes an opposition to another planet, i.e. the Full Pisces Moon, which then becomes the mid-point, i.e. 60° apart from the two other planets in the triangle (Saturn & Uranus); effectively creating a mini-triangle in addition to the larger Grand Trine, that flies the skies in a magical formation. Sun and Moon also form the axis with a ‘higher’ vibration, accenting a talent for the elevated but entertaining view.

This ‘Kite’ again highlights sensitivity to the feminine, yin elements, Earth and Water, helping to develop empathy and compassion, as well as tap into lucid dreams to resolve unconscious behaviour and patterns.

3) A Finger of Fate, aka ‘the Finger of God’
More pointed than the Grand Trine is the Finger of God, aka the Finger of Fate: a ‘funnel’ aspect, in which energies are filtered into focus, via two quincunx aspects, 150° separated by a 60° sextile. Again, the Sun is at the sharp end, reiterating the Virgoan talent for detail and healing when perfecting skills, especially creative gifts which can be of service to others.  Sometimes the two planets which are at the end of the funnel can even receive qualities from the pointer (the Sun). When the retrograde Mars forms an agreeable sextile to Shamanic Chiron, both can push up through the Sun, to illuminate all that needs Virgo’s restoration in the professional arenas.

4) Mars goes direct the day after the Full Moon!!! So this is no ordinary Mars in the Full Moon chart: this is Mars stationed at his most powerful, at his degree of exaltation, 28 Capricorn. After months of retrograde motion, the Sun’s henchman Mars returned to this exalted position in Capricorn to prove how to uphold conservative authority with experienced majesty, before again putting boundless energy into the wild and new when the scarlet planet returns to Aquarius, September 11th.  Events around the Equinox, September 23rd, could also have a martial feel to them.
While this may be a present moment when the proficient and practiced are honoured, it might be helpful in the future to recall a quote from Hunter S. Thompson who said, “When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.”

5) Because there’s also the ongoing Fixed T-Square with Uranus in Taurus and the Moon’s nodes, which turns into a ‘Fixed Cross’ at the next New Moon, when the power to transform is heightened.
6 & 7) Lastly, we’re also still in the last throws of the 3rd dreamy and expansive, Jupiter trine Neptune (which was exact August 19th, and 2026 is next similar aspect!).

At the time of the Full Moon, Mercury in Leo is in the same place it was July 10th, which was the same day Jupiter went forward after this year’s retrograde. To compound this Mercury Jupiter connection, the celestial courier makes a third tight, challenging square to Jupiter. That the heavenly messenger makes a last defiant hit to the Cosmic Teacher Jupiter within orb of the last Jupiter–Neptune Trine, could create a conflict in wanting to know everything, at the same time as being in awe of life’s mysteries. By accepting that we can’t know everything could even help to open the mind to understand the bigger celestial picture, that all is truth, consciousness and bliss*, which enchants most when the Full Moon is in magical and mystical Pisces.

Happy Pisces Full Moon to everyone!

Before closing I wanted to let you know that I am excited and honoured to be invited to share ‘Celestial Secrets’ with C*I*A members and guests at the October C*I*A retreat, near Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia. It will be wonderful to see you there!

✶ A Dark Moon Equinox ~ September 2014

If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace.” ― Thích Nhất Hạnh, Being Peace

Dakini Day~> 19th Sept
✶ With Spirit Sun in the sign of the Virgo Goddess, and the sensitive Moon at home in Cancer, the Lights now reflect a deeply feminine caring quality. Subjects to which we feel an innate kind of loyalty and need to protect, such as health and work, (female) friends and family (Sangha), the historical past - as well as personal creativity - all can now blossom and bloom by showing the kind of love a mother would nurture her child - even when/if self-administering.

✶ A Dark Moon Equinox is days away, 23rd September, when aligning with Earth’s balance of light and dark between the hemispheres will encourage a poised and steady, confident heart. In the midst of this natural change of season, calm stability is more easily achieved by relaxing into where you are now, super cool, with nothing to regret, nor anything to strive for, just resting in the still point of balance, inherently mindful and meditative of life, love and light.

✶ From the astrological perspective, and depending upon which side of Gaia you are, this autumnal/spring equinoctial marker is followed swiftly by a galactically influenced new Libra Moon on the 24th. This New Moon, in the Sign of the Scales, will conjunct the ‘Super Galactic Centre’ – the centre around which our own Milky Way galaxy, along with other galaxies, spiral. And as all things are interconnected (through the conscious Buddha field of love and light), a new Moon upon this powerful but potentially peaceful sensitive Libran point is mind-boggling in its’ extensive vastness – it’s a though the existence of our own ‘Immeasurable Heaven’ (within the recently named ‘Laneakia’), is instinctively and most naturally drawn to love, peace and equality.

Tara Moon ~> 16th September 2014 ॐ_/\_

The major focus of this last (Virgo) lunation (moon cycle) has been upon profound spiritual healing through forgiveness, and devotion to the Sacred Wise Woman (a human aspect which lies within us all – as we all have an intellectually intuitive side to our nature, to some degree or another). Today’s Last Quarter Moon takes the premise of empathy a step further, urging one to swiftly act upon situations that require compassion and kindness. Note how today there are a myriad of options with the Gemini Moon, enabling one to quickly overcome obstacles and problems, and tidily tie up loose ends. Though the sensitive Moon is again in hard aspect to shamanic healer Chiron, it is by applying Virgo’s practical insight, together with feminine wisdom (such as that of Goddess Tara), that heightens the chances for especially efficacious results, particularly for those accidental or self-inflicted wounds. _/\_

✿ New Virgo Moon ~> 25th August ~> @15:13bst

The remedial Virgo Sun’s ruler, quicksilver Mercury, makes an encouraging and helpful aspect to the currently forceful Mars/Saturn conjunction in powerful, secretive Scorpio. Setting a positive intention is paramount with the start of a lunation that begins with a mighty Mars/Saturn conjunction, as this potent vibration can hold for the whole month. I recently likened this aggregation of forceful scarlet Mars and taskmaster Saturn to that of wading through treacle: Sweet because the connection of Jupiter/Venus is still in playful Leo; but sticky too, due to the muddied and complex nature of active Mars and karmic Saturn controlling; with fiery Mars an earthy Saturn can harden and form into something solid, like a wall that can either protect, or one that needs scaling in order to discover what's behind or reach further insights.

Luckily, the shape-shifting Virgo Mercury’s plasticity allows the mind to see what is concretising from various angles. Mercury's variety of experience shows it’s how we view situations, which can make all the difference to both process and outcome. So we need to be careful how we now shape our thoughts at the time of this New Moon in the the beautiful sign of the Virgo Goddess, and particularly how we steer inner feelings to discern and stabilize emotions, to reap the individual and collective healing this lunation offers. For concentrated deep spiritual healing employ feminine wisdom with the compassion of a rational heart, and we can heal the dream, as well as dream the healing.

ॐ Full Moon in Pisces ~> The Blessings of Loving Kindness & the practice of ‘Metta’ _/♥\_ 2013

A glorious Harvest Moon 27Pisces (11:11UT! 19th Sept) suggests we can now reap rewards from qualities associated with the sign of the Fish, as well as the Goddess of Perfection, Virgo, especially those that illuminate spiritual healing and devoted practice. Meditation, yoga, tai-chi, mantra, music, dance, poetry, art, swimming (even) are all activities that align higher chakras to the heart-mind, to release the divine nectar of creative luminescence that transports one into the intuitive world of oceanic bliss. But perhaps the most valuable practice that combines the boundlessness of Pisces and pragmatic Virgo is that of universal loving kindness, also known as Metta (‘Maitri' in Sanskrit).

Metta is based upon the understanding all life is interconnected and taking to heart the care and well-being of others, which can then be used as an antidote to all negative emotion. The blessings of Metta are manifold, including the development of compassion, rejoicing in the happiness of others, and a calm personal equanimity.

ॐ_/♥\_ Metta Sutta ॐ_/♥\_
“This is what should be done by one who is skilled in goodness
And who knows the path of peace:
Let them be able and upright, straightforward and gentle in speech,
Humble and not conceited, contented and easily satisfied.
Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways.
Peaceful and calm, and wise and skilful,
not proud and demanding in nature.
Let them not do the slightest thing that the wise would later reprove.
They should wish:
In gladness and in safety
May all beings be at ease.
Whatever living beings there may be,
Whether they are weak or strong, omitting none,
The great or the mighty, medium, short or small,
The seen and the unseen,
Those living near and far away,
Those born and to-be-born,
May all beings be at ease!
Let none deceive another, or despise any being in any state,
Let none through anger or ill-will wish harm upon another.
Even as a mother protects with her life her child, her only child,
So with a boundless heart should one cherish all living beings,
Radiating kindness over the entire world,
Spreading upwards to the skies, and downwards to the depths,
Outwards and unbounded, freed from hatred and ill-will.
Whether standing or walking, seated or lying down,
Free from drowsiness, one should sustain this recollection.”

ॐ Virgo Lunation ~ Guru Rinpoche --> Cardinal Cross & Fixed 'T' Square 2013

September 14th ~> Guru Rinpoche
Sun in Virgo - Moon in Capricorn

I was asked today why, according to astrology, these are such challenging times. And this is a really long and involved answer with lots of astro-tech, as there are two very difficult aspects going on at the moment, which involve both Cardinal and Fixed signs (which is 2/3rd of the zodiac), so few escape the planetary energies – apart from the cosmic enlightened ones, of course, who are beyond the influences of the heavens. _/\_

One such difficult aspect is the Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun, which will continue to come and go until 2015/6 with varying intensity (as it has already been doing for the past three years). This highly evolutionary square is rare in its longevity, and involves dynamic, active Cardinal Signs: Assertive Aries with Uranus, planet of awakening as the agent of the square; Sensitive Cancer, with Jupiter, planet of expansion as the synthesising factor; Balancing Libra with messenger Mercury, planet of communication – with the Equinox Sun highlighting the Cardinal Cross at the end of the calendar month; last but not least, responsible Capricorn with transformative Pluto.

At its highest vibration, this square represents a rising Divinity (within). To be honest, this Grand Square with its two oppositions and an enduring hard aspect between two generational planes, Uranus and Pluto, it’s not easy to say the least, as interconnected life can go ‘haywire’ it involves a great deal of personal transformation and spiritual awareness to remain true to self. And every time the Moon hits one of these planets during this incredible Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun, we feel deeply the part we are playing in being able to dissolve the veils obscuring our shining and true Buddha nature.

Yet the required spiritual critical mass for Divinity to rise is, to my mind, almost here - if not already reached; as a collective tide turns towards the Divine Feminine, the Goddess balancing the rational of the mechanistic left-brain with the holistic creative right-brain, as well as awakening an intuitive wisdom with loving compassion. Still, the stress created by this realignment, of human with Divine, can be tough with on-going suppression of freedoms. And having a day when relationships falter, or self/others fail to produce, or authority clamps down and/or peer group seems alienating and a seemingly toxic collective upholds mass distraction with toys for celebrity boys (and girls), it’s all the more reason to hold ground, centre up and rest in the natural beauty of the glowing and radiant heart-mind ~> So when the going gets tough, breathe, meditate, slow down, and rise above the negative vibration that can hook the mind into slavish nonsense.

If the Grand Cross isn’t enough, the second aspect is a hard ‘T’ square between relationship-orientated Venus, disciplined Saturn, and the North Node in Scorpio (and by extention the South Node in Taurus) to Mars in Leo, which means fiery Mars has, for the past week or so, be on ‘The Bends’, turning between the dark side of the Moon and happenstance. Which could well feel just as crazy as it sounds! And Mars is still in square to Saturn creating a sensation a bit like wading through treacle, which has an upside, in as much as martial Mars is halted through fear, doubt, or plain realistic assessment (phew!). Note that Mars is akin to the energy of the South Node (logging the kind of energy we bring from previous incarnation or situations), and karmic Saturn is akin to destiny-fulfilling North-Node. So basically the Martial Lion has been wrapped around the Dragons’ Head AND the Dragon’s Tail, caught between coming and going. Now, he is going – straight into the arms of passionate, powerful love.

And as Venus, the planet of love now conjuncts Saturn, a commitment to the transformational power of deep, meaningful love means abandoning power plays of control and domination. So that when Love Goddess Venus squares passionate Warrior Mars at the last quarter moon 27/28th September, it can spark ardour, confidence, and the consciousness to renew and revitalise shared enterprise by following the urge to accomplish brave deeds, with unconditional LOVE conquering anger, hatred and aggression; for in the planetary pantheon Mars only disarms with Venusian charms.

So seeing that today, 14th September, is this lunation’s Guru Rinpoche day, with Sun in healing Virgo, the sign of the perfect and abundant Goddess, in good aspect to the sympathetic Moon in sensible Capricorn, it is more than fitting to ask for blessings and protection (from the Guru within) and discover the ability to overcome obstacles of these difficult aspects, so that all our aspirations can be fulfilled. ॐ_/♥\_

❥ An arrow of blessings ~ Medicine Buddha Moon Sept '13

First Quarter Moon ~ Medicine Buddha ~ Tara Puja __/♥\__

To eat lightly, rest deeply, and work in the healthy service of all sentient beings are the energies of Spirit Sun in physical, earthy, purifying Virgo, the zodiac's healing Goddess. Now the Sun is in square to the Moon in fiery, far-reaching Sagittarius, ‘The Lights’ work with base chakras, keeping feet planted on the ground to remain optimistic when searching for truths which resonate deep within the heart-mind. Tonight’s Sagittarian Medicine Buddha Moon helps direct energy up and beyond, sending out an arrow of blessings. Maintain a sense of adventure when performing the most ordinary activities, and spirits will rise to see the beauty in simple tasks such as cooking, cleaning, or caring for oneself and/or others. So as we head towards the meditative Full Moon in Pisces on the 19th September, sensitivity is heightened to demonstrate compassion and kindness. The Grand Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun is also once activated over the coming days: Being anchored within helps to overcome doubts and fears (especially within relationship), as noted by the Venus and Saturn conjunction riding the destiny-fulfilling North Node on the western horizon at sunset - Such a heavenly sight at this time of major transformation!

☆ Healing Breath ~ Healing Heart-Mind _/♥\_ Tara Moon - 28thAug'13

☆~☽☼☾~☆
Tara Moon ~ Medicine Buddha puja
_/♥\_
The airy quality of tonight's last quarter Gemini Moon, in T-square to the illuminating Sun and meditative Neptune, supports mindfulness by working with the breath, as breath is mind’s vehicle to Spirit. When the chattering monkey mind starts to distract, stability can be found by concentrating on the beauty of nature, such as a tree, rock or flower as an object of meditation, thus allowing the unseen healing field of life-giving consciousness to flow in and around the (collective) heart-mind. _/✿\_

☼ ☾ Both ‘Lights’, the Earthy Virgo Sun and curious Gemini Moon, currently share the same ruler: Mercury, planet of informative healing. Mercury is now exalted in restorative Virgo, and opposite charitable Neptune, the planets highlight the need to 'ride the winds' and practice the perfection of the wisdom mind, showing loving-kindness and compassion to all beings (including oneself).

☿ Dynamic Spiritual healing ~> 25th - 28th August 2013

~> ☉ & ☿ ♍ - ☍- ♆ ♓

The Spirit of the purifying Virgo Sun is currently boosted by the healing qualities of fleet-footed Mercury, Virgo’s ruler. As well as being the planet of wheeling and dealing, Mercury represents the kind of mental pacts we make with ourselves, particularly in regards to the healthy nurturing of mind, body and soul. A difficult Mercury placement can signal ignorance and/or negative thought processes. However, the winged messenger is now exalted in exacting Virgo, so Mercury is in the best possible place to be, to make this an optimum time to assess the benefits of a sensible lifestyle to look after oneself: positive thinking and healthy diet being the starting point of any remedial therapy.

For the next few days, both Sun and Mercury are also involved in the Sacred Six-pointed Star formation, galvanizing the curative Medicine Wheel (which began early July). And while these two planets now directly oppose spiritual Neptune, at home in visionary Pisces (exact Mercury opposition today, with the Sun opposite Neptune on the 27th), the power of visualization and working with unseen energy is magnified. Awareness of the invisible field of consciousness emanating unconditional love and bliss can be made manifest and utilized for practical purposes. Through prayer, meditation, yoga, dance, music and art (etc), Neptune in Pisces dissolves ordinary boundaries, taking us into uncharted astral realms (of the imagination), to align with the Divine, as well as highlighting the subtle energies that flow in and around the heart-mind and body (chi, bio-energy).

This cosmic connection creates an earthly perspective: Even if we cannot completely overcome suffering or cure disease, a positive intention coupled with the right tools, view and understanding, can heal a flagging human spirit: note that to transform suffering into joy advances spiritual practice. As the Buddha says “Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts.” So the most important thing we can ever do is to cultivate a good heart, towards ourselves - and others.

Heal well my friends ~>

✶ Sacred Star & Cosmic Cross ☩ ~> August Bank Holiday '13

✶▼△ ☼ Glorious planetary activity shines upon this August bank holiday weekend, with two very rare configurations happening at the same time; both alignments constellate together from the early hours of Sunday morning, 25th August, until the end of the month, creating magical sacred geometry that unifies the heart-mind: The stabilizing focus of the ‘Cardinal Cross of the Central Spiritual Sun’ provides direction and ambition, stimulating critical spiritual mass to encourage individual awareness to acknowledge the Divine within all things. The longer lasting pattern (until 7th September) is a welcome return of the mystical Six-pointed Star, aka Grand Sextile, the Double Tetrahedron, Merkaba, Star of David, Seal of Solomon (which I’ve written about in depth already).
The difference now is how the Sacred Star involves the illuminating ‘Lights’, Sun & Moon, highlighting feminine elements Water and Earth. As a perfect solar Virgo Goddess makes a wonderful aspect to Luna, exalted in fertile Taurus, this is Goddess power to the max, adding strength, beauty and wisdom within, sequencing subtle psychic sensitivity with a rare celestial empowerment that can at once activate deeply felt compassion and loving kindness, with the practical ability to remain grounded in peace and LOVE no matter what the circumstance. As His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama says “The more you are motivated by Love, The more Fearless & Free your action will be.”

Have a wonderfully starry end of August! _/♥\_

Divine Blue Pisces Moon ~ August 30th 2012

A rare Blue moon this Friday is in Pisces, the sign of the super sensitiive fishes, at 13:01 British Summer Time, (the next isn't until July 2015), when an 8 degrees Pisces Moon unites with spiritual Neptune, Shamanic Chiron & body-conscious asteroid, Hygeia, for added healing bliss, magic and wonder.

All the while, the Spirit of the Sun shines in Earthy Virgo; and the 'lights' - Sun & Moon, now
combine the feminine elements Earth & Water, giving this enchanted Full Moon an emphasis upon yielding yin, gentle and caring like the spiritual wise-woman.

The rational side of the Divine Virgo Goddess is naturally mirrored by the intuitive hemisphere, i.e. right brain active – which has the potential to impart the healing touch, aware of heaven’s universal oneness and, with a realistic approach, surf waves of immense (emotional and psychic) undercurrents with a practical kind of wisdom and compassion. Everyday kindness combined with spiritual service radiates mystical healing to the depths of one’s soul and beyond ~> to the very edges of infinite space _(♥)_ This is the Bodhisattva ideal.
