Seven
celestial bodies are now creating a very rare cosmic shoal in Pisces,
as Neptune, Chiron, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun AND Mars, are all in the
sign of the fish, making today’s new moon @19:51GMT (15:51EST), at
21Pisces, extraordinary in its breadth of vision, focus, and
concentrated in its depth of feeling.
In esoteric astrology, Pisces is ‘The Light of the WORLD’ and its symbol of the two Fishes
swimming in opposite directions connects EARTH to HEAVEN. Though this
energy is mutable and dualistic, we are magically linked together to
become ONE with each other and the universe.
Pisces also rules
the world of dreams, messages of the night that can illuminate visions
of future prophesies, as well as be symbolic of past fears and
self-delusion.
In Buddhism all life is seen as illusion,
‘Maya’, that elusive interplay between substance and energy, form and
personality, that merges the mind in a magical dance which can deceive
us from acknowledging our true nature of light and love, thus keeping us
bound to Samsara, locked into the Wheel of Existence. The ‘Mind
Stream’ is the ‘continuum’ which flows from life to life in this Sea of
Samsara. Yet Sogyal Rinpoche reminds us that Samsara and Nirvana are
both sides of the same coin and we can choose which to focus upon:
"Samsara is the mind turned outwardly lost in its projections. Nirvana
is the mind turned inwardly towards it‘s true nature”.
At this
amazing new Pisces Moon, now is the time to awaken to Nirvana and
become enlightened through the Piscean Light of the World, open the
heart-mind and third eye, plant the seed of unconditional COMPASSION,
and be unified in wisdom and loving kindness.
Chandrakirti
(7th Century Himalayan Saint) said “At the beginning, COMPASSION is like
a seed; in the middle, it is like water; at the end, it is like a
fruit. Achieving the result of full enlightenment is all due to
COMPASSION”

2012 Winter Solstice Meditation
Cosmic tip for 2012 Solstice Meditation (@11:12GMT) _/☼\_
☆• During Solstice (either at Winter or Summer) our light-radiating Sun is at standstill. Sol = Sun, stice= Stitium, which comes from Latin, for stoppage. And as the Sun 'stops' it rises and sets in the same place for three days and creates a 3-day restful 'gap'. This pause is like 'the gap' in meditation which happens between the 'out' breath and the 'in' breath, and is the very pause where we rest in our true nature, clear and free, that determines meditation. Sometimes resting in this gap makes it seem like we have reached Nirvana. When mind realises it is in that meditative gap, however, it begins to conceptualise. Then, of course, we headlong straight back into the everyday world we Buddhists call 'Samsara'! Such is the nature of mind! :) •☆
So, while enLIGHTenment can seem fleeting, the most important thing we can do for ourselves, and by extention for every one else including planet Earth, is to practice mindful breathing and radiate unconditional love, warmth and compassion - Not just NOW, at this very special solstice - empowered by our intention to evolve, as well as the new era of the 6th Sun of the Mayan calendar - but every day. And remember that breath is mind's vehicle to Spirit.
After these 3 days, the New Light King is reborn for Christmas!
FYI: The words 'breath' 'inspiration' & 'Spirit' have the same etymological root: inspirare _/|\_
