There is every celestial reason to feel super sensitive, as we fast approach a solar eclipse that is smack bang in the middle of an unusual lunar eclipse sandwich. The anticipation, or sensation of something biting hard – even if expectation doesn’t instantly kick-in – may mean peace of mind comes about more easily by actively engaging and taking care, with the best means possible, of one’s self and family, as well as friends, those in your community and karmic, cyber and career connections (v imp): Eat well, sleep well, and practice well, and rest in your supportive comfort zone for the next few days. On the 21st-22nd, this centuries’ longest total Solar Eclipse takes place over eastern skies (visible from India to China), in the very last degree of Cancer. The heavenly message is do what makes us, and those we care for, feel good. So plump up the cushions and go holistic.
Ecliptic interplay, referred to as the Dragon’s Head (north node – Rahu) and Dragon’s tail (south node – Ketu) is between Sun, Moon and Earth; now progressing backwards across the axis of Cancer-Capricorn (where it stays for the next eighteen months) it grasps the emotional body on this second feeling-orientated, watery New Cancer Moon in a month. A second moon in any zodiacal sign accents the evolutionary significance of the signs’ qualities; and in Cancer it emphasises the necessity of healthy nurturing, feeding the spirit with positive images, thoughts and ideas, as well as practical alimentation.

During an eclipse making time to repose aligns light and dark, yin and yang – so that mind, body and spirit can amalgamate, boosts the psycho-spiritual-anatomical immune system. Yoga and meditation help maintain the harmony of dynamic movement with relaxation throughout this powerful union of the light of the Sun with the shadowy dark of the Moon.
